Abstract: ... provides a case study of safety culture construction by the Yimei coal group from the perspective ...

Abstract Background: The construction of a safety culture in coal mine enterprises is an essential component of coal mine safety management. Current studies do not address the mechanism for forming and constructing systems for coal mine enterprise safety culture, and many studies are based on imperfect theoretical frameworks and unsystematic empirical research, their policy recommendations are not systematic or operable, and they offer no feasible safety culture construction system.
Objective: This study is devoted to analysing the theoretical basis of safety culture construction in coal mine enterprises from the perspective of hazards and proposing the content, stages and targets of constructing a safety culture and develops pragmatic approaches for coal mining enterprises to improve safety culture.
Methods: A theoretical basis for safety culture construction in coal mine enterprises is proposed from the perspective of hazards by considering accident-causing mechanisms based on hazards. Furthermore, this study applied the case analysis and application to conduct empirical research on the proposed theoretical basis for safety culture construction from the perspective of hazards.
Results: Four aspects are proposed to capture the content and objectives of safety culture construction from the perspective of hazards: safety concept, behaviour safety, material state safety, and safety institutions. Furthermore, this paper provides a case study of safety culture construction by the Yimei coal group from the perspective of hazards, identifies the hazards based on the above four aspects, and then identifies preventative measures and controls for the identified hazards.
Conclusions: Constructing a safety culture in coal mine enterprises from the perspective of hazards is operable and practical, and thus this study provides essential theoretical and practical value for improving coal mine safety.

Abstract Tyrosol is a natural phenolic compound with potent antioxidant properties in the field of food manufacturing. However, the low lipophilicity of tyrosol limited its application. Therefore, the construction of tyrosol laurate (Tyr-L) could effectively overcome the limitations of tyrosol. In this work, four ionic liquids (ILs) were applied for TYr-L preparation. Among them, the 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate ([Bmim]HSO

Abstract Rechargeable zinc-based batteries are finding their niche in energy storage applications where cost, safety, scalability matter, yet they are plagued by rapid performance degradation due to the lack of suitable electrolytes to stabilize Zn anode. Herein, we report a competitive coordination structure to form unique quaternary hydrated eutectic electrolyte with ligand-cation-anion cluster. Unraveled by experiment and calculation results, the competing component can enter initial primary coordination shell of Zn

Abstract Background: Vitamin D status is indicated by serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D] levels, and the positive effects of high levels of vitamin D on bone mineral density (BMD) have not been ascertained. Therefore, we performed a study to analyze the association between serum 25(OH)D levels and osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Multiple logistic regression was used to explore the relationship between serum 25(OH)D and osteoporosis of total femur, femoral neck and lumbar spine, with stratified analyses for age (<65 and ≥65 years), BMI (<25, 25 to <30, ≥30 kg/m
Results: In total, 2058 participants were enrolled in our study. In the fully adjusted model, compared with serum 25(OH)D levels <50 nmol/L, the odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) of serum 25(OH)D 50-<75 nmol/L and ≥75 nmol/L were 0.274 (0.138, 0.544) and 0.374 (0.202, 0.693) in osteoporosis of total femur, 0.537 (0.328, 0.879) and 0.583 (0.331, 1.026) in osteoporosis of femoral neck, and 0.614 (0.357, 1.055) and 0.627 (0.368, 1.067) in osteoporosis of lumbar spine, respectively. The protective effect of high 25(OH)D was observed at all three skeletal sites in those ≥65 years of age, whereas it was observed only in the total femur in those <65 years of age.
Conclusion: In conclusion, adequate vitamin D may reduce the risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women in the United States, especially in those aged 65 years and older. More attention should be given to serum 25 (OH) D levels to prevent osteoporosis.

Abstract Background: Curative endoscopic resection is widely used to treat colonic polyps and early stage cancers. The anesthetic strategy commonly involves the use of propofol combined with a small dose of opioids for sedation. Adverse respiratory or cardiovascular events such as hypotension often occur when attempting to achieve the necessary level of sedation. Several studies have suggested its advantages owing to the anesthetic, analgesic, and sympathomimetic properties of esketamine. However, there are no reports on curative colorectal endoscopic resection. We designed this randomized controlled trial to assess the efficacy and safety of esketamine combined with propofol for sedation in patients undergoing curative colorectal endoscopic resection.
Methods: A total of 166 patients who underwent curative colorectal endoscopic resection were randomly assigned to groups A (propofol + fentanyl) or E (propofol + esketamine). Ideal sedation was assessed using the MOAA/S scale and was achieved using TCI-propofol with different doses of fentanyl and esketamine. The propofol consumption and vasoactive drug dosages were recorded. Sedation-related times, adverse events, and satisfaction were recorded.
Results: Of the 160 patients, the total propofol consumption was significantly lower in group E (n = 81) (300 mg) than in group A (n = 79) (350 mg). Hypotension and bradycardia were significantly lower in Group E than in Group A. The groups showed no significant differences in other adverse events, induction time, recovery time, or patient or endoscopist satisfaction.
Conclusion: Compared to fentanyl, esketamine helps decrease propofol consumption and increases cardiovascular stability during curative colorectal endoscopic resection in American Society of Anesthesiologists Class I-III patients without affecting anesthesia, patient and endoscopist satisfaction, or other adverse events.
Trial registration: The study was retrospectively registered at the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry ( www.chictr.org.cn

    registration number: ChiCTR2300069014 on 03/03/2023).
