Abstract Sexual dysfunction is extremely common in cancer survivors. Cancer survivors are living longer, and survivorship issues like sexual functioning are now a part of routine cancer care. Oncology providers need to be as comfortable assessing and addressing these issues as they would any other aspect relating to cancer care. Providers should know how to perform an evaluation for sexual dysfunction, understand basic treatment options, and have appropriate referrals available to ensure that the patient's needs are met. This review provides an overview of sexual dysfunction pertaining to women who are survivors of cancer and articulates areas needing further research.

Abstract Protein contact dermatitis is a cutaneous hypersensitivity reaction after chronic, recurrent exposure or chronic irritation to animal or plant protein. Although the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying protein contact dermatitis are not well characterized, protein contact dermatitis is thought to be caused by combined type I/IV-mediated, type-1 mediated, or a Langerhans cell immunoglobulin E-mediated delayed hypersensitivity reaction. This chapter reviews the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, common protein allergens, diagnostic process, treatment options, and prognosis of protein contact dermatitis.

Abstract Purpose of review: In this Perspective we share the personal story of a 33-year-old patient diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and her journey through fertility preservation, surrogacy, and eventually motherhood, highlighting misconceptions about fertility preservation in this population.
Recent findings: There are nearly 1 million women under the age of 50 diagnosed and living with cancer in the USA. These patients are met with life-altering decisions, including those that may limit their reproductive ability. While there have been tremendous advances and advocacy in the field of oncofertility, there has been limited focus on patients with advanced stage or metastatic cancer. We describe five key misconceptions surrounding fertility preservation in patients with advanced stage cancer, offering a review of the literature and our approach to challenging topics like desiring fertility preservation in the face of Stage 4 disease, the safety and timing of ovarian stimulation during cancer treatment, and passing away following fertility preservation. We review the importance of assessing perceptions of fertility preservation in patients with metastatic cancer and highlight the lack of research in this area as a call to action.

Abstract Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) encompasses a group of low-grade, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, including mycosis fungoides and Sézary syndrome. Diagnosis of CTCL can be challenging given the prolonged, gradual onset and shared characteristics with many benign inflammatory skin diseases. In this case series, we describe four unique cases of patients with chronic, recalcitrant eczematous dermatitis who presented for a patch-test consultation and were ultimately diagnosed with CTCL. In particular, we highlight clinical pearls to aid in distinguishing CTCL from inflammatory dermatoses and describe the diagnostic strategy to help dermatologists arrive at the diagnosis of CTCL at earlier stages of the disease.
