Abstract This study explores how violence occurs among young adult asylum seekers in collective accommodations in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. It provides an insider perspective to understand a phenomenon related to non-European people who were forced to leave their countries to seek asylum. Based on 16 qualitative interviews with young adult male asylum seekers from Syria and some African countries, seven interviews with social workers, and one interview with a German psychological therapist, the author finds that the asylum procedure in Germany as a total institution catalyzes violence among young adult asylum seekers in collective accommodations. The present study shows that collective accommodations are unhomely places, where "inmates" lack privacy and autonomy. In addition, the asylum procedure deprives them of essential human needs, such as the right to work and to have full access to the health care system. These circumstances make them uncertain and desperate, which leads to violence among them. The author calls for more attention towards the human needs of asylum seekers, rather than making them related to the granting of asylum, which can ultimately take years.

Abstract Objectives: The study was conducted in a tertiary educational hospital based in Riyadh to explore faculty's perception of using simulation-based teaching as part of the Cardiovascular Diploma Program (CDP) to improve patients' safety. The study, also aimed to identify the benefits and challenges of utilizing simulation.
Methods: Researchers used a qualitative approach. Semi-structured interviews were conducted online with ten faculty-members. The interviews were performed between July and September in the year 2019. Authors used convenient sampling techniques for recruitment. Data were transcribed and analyzed using a framework analysis approach.
Result: Data analysis showed four emergent themes, i.e., the concept of simulation (it is a risk-free environment for training), simulation for patients' safety (students first learn on the simulators and deal with patients), simulation as a safe learning environment (gives idea basic things about the working environment, knowing the symptoms of the patients, catheterizing the patient, knowing preparations for the procedure and post care), and the challenges of utilizing simulation (identify gaps between the theoretical and practical parts).
Conclusion: Faculty has appreciated the role of simulation in improving patients' safety. Simulation was underutilized due to the limited time allotted for simulation and lack of adequate experienced faculty. It is recommended that simulation should be integrated into the CDP curriculum.

Abstract Background: Although histologically benign, colloid cysts have been an entity of interest to neurosurgeons due to the wide array of possible presentations ranging from asymptomatic to high ICP symptoms to sudden death. It is estimated that colloid cysts represent 0.3 to 2% of all brain tumors.1 As they are typically located in the third ventricle, multiple approaches have been adapted and developed for the maximum resection with the least complications given the sensitive anatomy in the area.12 The interhemispheric transcallosal approach can be safely performed to fully resect a third ventricle colloid cyst with close to zero recurrence rate and minimal to none permanent deficits.3 This video is an educational illustration of the surgical technique and the related anatomy for the interhemispheric transcallosal approach and how to provide best chances of a benign postoperative course.
Case Description: In this surgical video, we present a case of a 20-year-old male, a known case of hypertension and un-controlled diabetes type-1, presented to our hospital with on and off headache, dizziness, and diplopia that gradually progressed. His neurological exam was unremarkable including memory function. CT and MRI scans demonstrated a rounded sharply demarcated lesion at the at the roof of the third ventricle, measuring 1 × 1 cm in size. The patient underwent an anterior inter-hemispheric transcallosal approach, with gross total resection of the cyst. In the follow-up office visit, the patient headache has resolved, and he had no seizures with preserved memory functions.
Conclusion: When removal of the colloid cyst is indicated, the interhemispheric transcallosal approach can be performed safely with gross total resection and minimal neurological deficit. This is a surgical demonstration of the transcallosal approach showcasing the surgical corridors and related anatomy.

Abstract Background: Colloid cysts have always provoked the interest of neurosurgeons due to their benign histology, wide variety of clinical presentations, and differences in reported surgical outcomes. Although recent studies have reported favorable outcomes with different surgical resection approaches, the transcallosal approach remains the most popular approach to date. In this series, we report the clinical and radiological outcomes of the transcallosal approach for the resection of third ventricle colloid cysts in 12 patients.
Methods: We present a case series of 12 patients who were radiologically diagnosed with a third ventricle colloid cyst who underwent transcallosal resection by a single surgeon in one center over a 6-year period. Clinical, radiological, and surgical data were collected, and surgical outcomes and complications were analyzed.
Results: Of the 12 patients diagnosed with colloid cysts, 10 (83%) presented with headache, and five (41%) presented with memory disturbance. All 12 patients showed improvement or resolution of their symptoms following resection. Nine patients (75%) presented with hydrocephalus on radiology. All the patients required preoperative or intraoperative external ventricular drain insertion. Four patients (33%) experienced transient postoperative complications. None of the patients required long-term cerebrospinal fluids shunting. One (8%) of 12 patients experienced transient memory loss. No mortality was recorded during the follow-up.
Conclusion: Transcallosal resection of colloid cysts has a favorable prognosis. It allows for complete resection of the cyst with minimal transient postoperative complications. Most patients with postoperative complications show complete resolution of symptoms, with no long-term morbidity.

Abstract Objectives: To study each atypical feature in atypical meningioma versus other grade 2 meningiomas and its possible relation to recurrence.
Methods: This is a retrospective study of patients with WHO grade 2 meningioma operated in our institution between 01/2008 and 12/2020. The rate of recurrence, reoperation and readmission were recorded during the follow-up period. A statistical analysis was done to determine the significance of each pathological feature in regard to recurrence.
Results: A total of 74 patients were included as WHO grade 2 meningioma with 60 (81%) patients having an AM and 14 (19%) patients with chordoid or clear cell meningioma. The mean age was 51 years±14. The most common location was meningioma abutting the frontal lobe (convexity). Major atypical features were more noted in the AM, however, there was no significant difference between AM and other types of meningioma. Increased Nuclear cytoplasmic ratio and cellularity were found significantly more in AM. The recurrence rate was 16.2%. No specific pathology feature (major or minor) nor the type of Grade 2 meningioma was significantly related to recurrence.
Conclusion: The types of WHO grade 2 meningiomas have similar prognosis and recurrence rates. There is no significant difference between the atypical features in indicating a more aggressive nature or risk of recurrence in grade 2 meningiomas.

Abstract This study determined the prevalence of hepatitis B surface antigen (HB(s)Ag) and antibody to hepatitis C virus (anti-HCV) among students at health colleges in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2007. Data were obtained from student records. A total of 16 570 (9852 male and 6718 female) students were included. Their mean age was 21 years and they were divided in 2 age groups of 18-21 and 22-30 years. Residence (rural or urban) was recorded. The prevalence of HB(s)Ag for males and females was 0.17% and 0.78% respectively in the 18-21-year-olds and 0.39% and 0.90% in the 22-30-year-olds. The prevalence of anti-HCV for males and females was 0.03% and 0.07% respectively in the 18-21-year-olds and 0.31% and 0.40% in the 22-30-year-olds. There was a statistically significant relationship between age and rural/urban background and HB(s)Ag and anti-HCV positivity (P < 0.005).
