    Abstract In i2connect, a field peer review involves peers from different countries reviewing practical case innovations and to learn from each other. The focus is on advisory services and understanding how interactive innovation occurs. The peers try to understand the roles of actors, stakeholders and key moments like challenges, successes and insights. The knowledge gained from these field peer reviews, benefits advisor training programs. The GoCitrics project focuses on precision agriculture in citrus irrigation and fertilization. A Slovenian team analysed the seven steps of the project development process using the Spiral of Initiatives method. As a conclusion, the project success can be attributed to agronomical and technical skills, remote sensing data analysis, as well as the social component, including the advisors, soft skills and collaboration among stakeholders.

    Abstract Das Thema Hitzestress ist weltweit zwar gut erforscht. Es gibt aber kaum Studien, die sich auf die Bedingungen in der Schweiz beziehen. Insbesondere weiss man noch wenig darüber, wie Milchkühe auf der Weide auf Hitzestress reagieren. Kühe unter Hitzestress fressen weniger, um zusätzliche Wärme durch die Verdauung zu vermeiden. Die Auswirkungen von Hitzestress auf die Milchleistung zeigen sich mit einer Verzögerung von etwa drei Tagen. Mittelfristig kann Hitzestress auch die Fruchtbarkeit der Kühe beeinträchtigen. Den richtigen Zeitpunkt zu erkennen, wann die eigene Herde unter Hitzestress zu leiden beginnt, braucht gute Beobachtung und Erfahrung. Maßnahmen gegen Hitzestress bei weidenden Kühen umfassen das Zurückbringen in den Stall, Bereitstellen von Tränken und Schatten, Weiden in den kühleren Stunden, rechtzeitige Beobachtung und Nutzung von Warn-Apps sowie Insektenschutz. Bei Stallhaltung können Ventilatoren, Vernebelung und Duschen eingesetzt werden. Beim Umbau oder Neubau von Ställen sollte auch der Faktor Hitze berücksichtigt werden.

    Abstract Am 8. März 2023 begrüsste das Forschungsinstitut für biologischen Landbau FiBL über 300 Gäste zur Wissenschaftstagung Ökologischer Landbau (WiTa). In den rund dreieinhalb Tagen fanden sieben Exkursionen statt, und es wurden 154 Vorträge, 102 Poster, 14 Workshops und sechs Science Pitches präsentiert. So gab es etwa Beiträge zu Körnerleguminosen und Transfermulch, zu klimaneutraler Landwirtschaft, Agroforst oder Themen wie Rethinking Grassland und Eiweiss-Autarkie.
