Abstract Natural remedies play an important role in curing ailments that happen by chance or adoptively. Adhatoda vasica is a natural Asian remedy that has the potential to treat respiratory disorders, among others. While existing literature does exist on this medicinal plant, it can be cumbersome to sort through for information relevant to academics, research, and practice. This work reframes and consolidates information on Adhatoda vasica so that it is easier to approach through academic, research, and practitioner perspectives.

Abstract Muslims practice fasting during the ''holy month of Ramadan'', which poses special difficulties for those who have diabetes. Studies show that a sizable fraction of people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes fast despite the health hazards that come with the condition. This indicates that the incidence of diabetes among Muslims who fast is noteworthy. An increased vulnerability to acute problems, such as hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, and diabetic ketoacidosis, is caused by extended fasting periods, irregular eating and sleeping routines, and changes in medication regimens. Healthcare professionals (HCPs), especially General Practitioners (GPs), should be involved in advising patients on safe fasting practices to strike a balance between religious observance and medical guidance. While guidelines from groups such as the Diabetes and Ramadan International Alliance and the International Diabetes Federation provide helpful suggestions, GPs are responsible for ensuring patient safety during Ramadan, particularly in areas where access to diabetes specialists is restricted. GPs are essential in managing diabetes-related issues before and throughout Ramadan, as well as in providing organized education and increasing awareness. A GP's primary responsibility at this time is to oversee the timely referral of high-risk patients and to effectively communicate with patients. To increase public awareness and support for diabetes care during Ramadan, it is also advised to work with religious leaders and make use of social media channels. It is ultimately in line with medical and religious beliefs to prioritize diabetes treatment during Ramadan, emphasizing the critical role general practitioners play in preserving the health and well-being of diabetics who are fasting.

  7. Article ; Online: What function of nanoparticles is the primary factor for their hyper-toxicity?

Abstract Nanomaterials have applications in environmental protection, hygiene, medicine, agriculture, and the food industry due to their enhanced bio-efficacy/toxicity as science and technology have progressed, notably nanotechnology. The extension in the use of nanoparticles in day-to-day products and their excellent efficacy raises worries about safety concerns associated with their use. Therefore, to understand their safety concerns and find the remedy, it is imperative to understand the rationales for their enhanced toxicity at low concentrations to minimize their potential side effects. The worldwide literature quotes different nanoparticle functions responsible for their enhanced bio-efficacy/ toxicity. Since the literature on the comparative toxicity study of nanoparticles of different shapes and sizes having different other physic-chemical properties like surface areas, surface charge, solubility, etc., evident that the nanoparticle's toxicity is not followed the fashion according to their shape, size, surface area, surface charge, solubility, and other Physico-chemical properties. It raises the question then what function of nanoparticle is the primary factor for their hyper toxicity. Why do non-spherical and large-sized nanoparticles show the same or higher toxicity to the same or different cell line or test organism instead of having lower surface area, surface charge, larger size, etc., than their corresponding spherical and smaller-sized nanoparticles? Are these factors a secondary, not primary, factor for nanoparticles hyper-toxicity? If so, what function of nanoparticles is the primary function for their hyper-toxicity? Therefore, in this article, literature related to the comparative toxicity of nanoparticles was thoroughly studied, and a hypothesis is put forth to address the aforesaid question, that the number of atoms/ions/ molecules per nanoparticles is the primary function of nanoparticles toxicity.

Abstract This case report presents the use of haptic robotic technology in one patient with six implants placed in the maxilla and five implants in the lower mandible with the goal of individual single implant supported crowns to be placed over each implant after 6 months. All implants were placed using a flapless technique, with one immediate implant placement after extraction. All implants were placed with a high degree of accuracy relative to the pre-operative plan as determined by post-op CBCT analysis with an average angular deviation of 2.58° and positional deviations at the coronal and apical aspects of the implant around 1 mm (0.93 and 1.06 mm, respectively). Total surgical time of less than 2 h. Haptic robotics physically guides the location, orientation, and depth of the tools during both drilling and implantation and thus allows for accurate placement as well as the intra-operative flexibility to change the plan as necessary while providing excellent visualization and irrigation. This robotic technology provides a treatment that focuses on accuracy and safety providing the best chance at excellent surgical outcomes for the patient.
