Abstract In the field of computer vision, 3D reconstruction of crops plays a crucially important role in agriculture. On-ground assessment of geometrical features of vineyards is of vital importance to generate valuable information that enables producers to take the optimum actions in terms of agricultural management. A training system of vines ( Vitis vinifera L.), which involves pruning and a trellis system, results in a particular vine architecture, which is vital throughout the phenological stages. Pruning is required to maintain the vine’s health and to keep its productivity under control. The creation of 3D models of vineshoots is of crucial importance for management planning. Volume and structural information can improve pruning systems, which can increase crop yield and improve crop management. In this experiment, an RGB-D camera system, namely Kinect v2, was used to reconstruct 3D vine models, which were used to determine shoot volume on eight differentiated vineyard training systems: Lyre, GDC (Geneva Double Curtain), Y-Trellis, Pergola, Single Curtain, Smart Dyson, VSP (Vertical Shoot Positioned), and the head-trained Gobelet. The results were compared with dry biomass ground truth-values. Dense point clouds had a substantial impact on the connection between the actual biomass measurements in four of the training systems (Pergola, Curtain, Smart Dyson and VSP). For the comparison of actual dry biomass and RGB-D volume and its associated 3D points, strong linear fits were obtained. Significant coefficients of determination (R 2 = 0.72 to R 2 = 0.88) were observed according to the number of points connected to each training system separately, and the results revealed good correlations with actual biomass and volume values. When comparing RGB-D volume to weight, Pearson’s correlation coefficient increased to 0.92. The results reveal that the RGB-D approach is also suitable for shoot reconstruction. The research proved how an inexpensive optical sensor can be employed for rapid and reproducible 3D reconstruction ...

Abstract Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the frequency of nail disorders and the presence of fungi on the nails of the hands and feet of patients with hand-foot syndrome secondary to treatment with paclitaxel.
Methods: Prospective study, carried out from October 2018 to December 2019, which included 81 patients undergoing treatment for breast cancer using paclitaxel and had signs and or symptoms of hand-foot syndrome with or without nail disorders. The data were collected through interviews guided by a structured questionnaire, information from medical records and reports of mycological exams.
Results: The average age of women was 54.7 ± 7.4 years. Nail disorders occurred in 69 patients (85.2%), and of these, 43 (62.3%) were positive for fungi. The fungi were yeasts (
Conclusions: Nail disorders were the most frequent manifestations in patients with hand-foot syndrome treated with paclitaxel and occurred in 85.2% of them. It was evidenced that fungi are present on the nails of these patients and can occur in up to 65.28%. The most prevalent fungi were

Abstract Due to the sensitive international situation caused by still-recent terrorist attacks, there is a common need to protect the safety of large spaces such as government buildings, airports and power stations. To address this problem, developments in several research fields, such as video and cognitive audio, decision support systems, human interface, computer architecture, communications networks and communications security, should be integrated with the goal of achieving advanced security systems capable of checking all of the specified requirements and spanning the gap that presently exists in the current market. This paper describes the implementation of a decision system for crisis management in infrastructural building security. Specifically, it describes the implementation of a decision system in the management of building intrusions. The positions of the unidentified persons are reported with the help of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The goal is to achieve an intelligent system capable of making the best decision in real time in order to quickly neutralise one or more intruders who threaten strategic installations. It is assumed that the intruders’ behaviour is inferred through sequences of sensors’ activations and their fusion. This article presents a general approach to selecting the optimum operation from the available neutralisation strategies based on a Minimax algorithm. The distances among different scenario elements will be used to measure the risk of the scene, so a path planning technique will be integrated in order to attain a good performance. Different actions to be executed over the elements of the scene such as moving a guard, blocking a door or turning on an alarm will be used to neutralise the crisis. This set of actions executed to stop the crisis is known as the neutralisation strategy. Finally, the system has been tested in simulations of real situations, and the results have been evaluated according to the final state of the intruders. In 86.5% of the cases, the system achieved the capture of the intruders, and in 59.25% of the cases, they were intercepted before they reached their objective.
