Abstract: The process $e^+e^-\to\eta\eta\gamma$ is studied in the center-of-mass energy range 1.17-2.00 GeV using data with an integrated luminosity of 201 pb$^{-1}$collected by the SND detector at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider. The $e^+e^-\to\eta\eta\gamma$ ... ...

Abstract The process $e^+e^-\to\eta\eta\gamma$ is studied in the center-of-mass energy range 1.17-2.00 GeV using data with an integrated luminosity of 201 pb$^{-1}$collected by the SND detector at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider. The $e^+e^-\to\eta\eta\gamma$ cross section is measured for the first time. It is shown that the dominant mechanism of this reaction is the transition through the $\phi\eta$ intermediate state. Our result on the $e^+e^-\to\eta\eta\gamma$ cross section is consistent with the $e^+e^-\to\phi\eta$ measurement in the $\phi\to K^+ K^-$ mode. The search for radiative processes contributing to the $e^+e^-\to\eta\eta\gamma$ cross section is performed, and no significant signal is observed.

Abstract Two experiments, CMD-3 and SND, collected over 100 pb−1 in total taking data in 2011-2013 at the VEPP-2000 electron-positron collider. The data sample covers the whole available c.m. energy range from 0.32 GeV to 2.0 GeV. An upgrade of VEPP-2000 started in the second half of 2013, aimed at the luminosity increase up to 10 times at 2.0 GeV. Data taking is expected to resumed in 2015. The current results of analysis of the collected data for various modes of e+ e− → hadrons are discussed.

Abstract It’s good known the difference in 3.5 sigma between the muon (g – 2) experimental result and its calculation in Standard Model. To clarify this intriguing discrepancy the new stage of muon (g – 2) measurement is under preparation at Fermi National Laboratory. On other hand, regular data taking for measurements of hadron cross section production in e+ e− annihilations is under way since December 2010 at the electron-positron collider VEPP-2000 with the CMD-3 and SND detectors. The collected data sample corresponds to about 60 inverse picobarns of integrated luminosity per detector in the energy range from 0.32 up to 2 GeV. Preliminary analysis of various hadronic cross sections has been performed.

They include: a search for narrow resonances between 1.85 and 3.1 GeV, a test of leptonic universality by comparing partial widths of the J/ψ resonance into electron and muon pairs, a determination of the main parameters of the ψ(2S) and a measurement of ψ(3770) parameters.

Abstract The products of the electron width of the J/\psi meson and the branching fraction of its decays to the lepton pairs were measured using data from the KEDR experiment at the VEPP-4M electron-positron collider. The results are \Gamma_{ee}(J/\psi)*Br(J/\psi->e^+e^-)=(0.3323\pm0.0064\pm0.0048) keV, \Gamma_{ee}(J/\psi)*Br(J/\psi->\mu^+\mu^-)=(0.3318\pm0.0052\pm0.0063) keV. Their combinations \Gamma_{ee}\times(\Gamma_{ee}+\Gamma_{\mu\mu})/\Gamma=(0.6641\pm0.0082\pm0.0100) keV, \Gamma_{ee}/\Gamma_{\mu\mu}=1.002\pm0.021\pm0.013 can be used to improve theaccuracy of the leptonic and full widths and test leptonic universality. Assuming e\mu universality and using the world average value of the lepton branching fraction, we also determine the leptonic \Gamma_{ll}=5.59\pm0.12 keV and total \Gamma=94.1\pm2.7 keV widths of the J/\psi meson.

Abstract PANDA (anti-Proton ANnihiliation at DArmstadt) is planned to be one of the four main experiments at the future international accelerator complex FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) in Darmstadt, Germany. It is going to address fundamental questions of hadron physics and quantum chromodynamics using cooled antiproton beams with a high intensity and and momenta between 1.5 and 15 GeV/c. PANDA is designed to reach a maximum luminosity of 2x10^32 cm^2 s. Most of the physics programs require an excellent particle identification (PID). The PID of hadronic states at the forward endcap of the target spectrometer will be done by a fast and compact Cherenkov detector that uses the detection of internally reflected Cherenkov light (DIRC) principle. It is designed to cover the polar angle range from 5{\deg} to 22{\deg} and to provide a separation power for the separation of charged pions and kaons up to 3 standard deviations (s.d.) for particle momenta up to 4 GeV/c in order to cover the important particle phase space. This document describes the technical design and the expected performance of the novel PANDA Disc DIRC detector that has not been used in any other high energy physics experiment (HEP) before. The performance has been studied with Monte-Carlo simulations and various beam tests at DESY and CERN. The final design meets all PANDA requirements and guarantees suffcient safety margins.
