Abstract Little is known about the impact of human colostrum on infant intestinal health following digestion. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of digested versus undigested human colostrum on inflammation and cytotoxicity in human intestinal epithelial cells (Caco2BBe) stimulated with lipopolysaccharides (LPS) or tumor necrosis factor (TNF). Colostrum samples (days 2-8 postpartum) from ten mothers of preterm infant were applied. Caco2BBe cells were pretreated by digested or undigested colostrum before stimulation with LPS or TNF. The inflammatory response was determined by measuring the production of interleukin-8 (IL-8) from cells using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cytotoxicity was examined by measuring the release of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) from the cells. Digested colostrum significantly reduced IL-8 production under LPS and TNF stimulation compared with undigested colostrum. Individual colostrum samples exhibited wide variance in the ability to suppress IL-8 production and cytotoxicity in Caco2BBe cells. In vitro-digested human colostrum suppressed an inflammatory response more than undigested human colostrum in an induced intestinal cell culture model.

Abstract In uncertain times, risk management is critical in keeping companies from acting rashly and wrongly, allowing them to become more flexible and resilient. International cooperative production project investment and operational risks are different from domestic projects. It has a larger likelihood of occurrence, severe damage ramifications, and greater difficulty in prevention and control. As a result, companies must develop a scientific, logical, and comprehensive risk management system and procedure when "reaching out" to perform international joint production projects. We utilize machine learning (ML) to build a legal risk assessment model for international cooperative production projects, evaluate its validity, divide it into five risk categories, and suggest countermeasures for the risk variables discovered at each risk level in this work. The output of a single classifier is then fused using an SDM (self-organizing data mining) approach at the decision level, resulting in a multiclassifier early-warning model. In the context of the sustainable development goals, this methodology also allows for a sustainability assessment through risk evaluation. The experimental results show that the MCFM-SDM model outperforms a single classifier and other MCFMs in terms of early warning accuracy and stability, confirming the model's use and superiority.

Abstract Soybean is the main raw material for soy sauce fermentation and has a significant impact on the quality of soy sauce. Understanding the impact of soybean traits on the soy sauce quality is important for the development of the industry. The present study compared the traits of 12 soybeans and the quality of their fermented kojis and soy sauces, revealing the differences in total sugar and protein content may be the key factors responsible for differences in soy sauce characteristics. On this basis, 6 representative soybeans including 3 high protein and low total sugar content soybeans (HPLS) and 3 low protein and high total sugar content soybeans (LPHS) were selected for further study. Results of the changes in enzyme activities during koji-making fermentation showed that neutral protease and beta-glucosidase activities were higher in HPLS kojis, while acid protease and xylanase activities were higher in LPHS kojis after 24 h of fermentation. Differences in enzyme activity further caused variations in the soy sauce quality and formed some correlations with soy sauce tastes, such as xylanase and umami (r = 0.885), kokumi (r = 0.916). The intensities of umami and kokumi were higher in LPHS soy sauces, which had a higher dipeptides content of X-Glu, X-Thr, X-Ser and Gly-X.

Abstract Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are proved to be good precursors to derive various nanomaterials with desirable functions, but so far the controllable synthesis of ordered mesoporous derivatives from MOFs has not been achieved. Herein, this work reports, for the first time, the construction of MOF-derived ordered mesoporous (OM) derivatives by developing a facile mesopore-inherited pyrolysis-oxidation strategy. This work demonstrates a particularly elegant example of this strategy, which involves the mesopore-inherited pyrolysis of OM-CeMOF into a OM-CeO

Abstract This paper analyses the legal framework of Chinese-funded enterprises' agricultural investment under the background of big data. To analyses the policies even that contradictions with several entities and their problems were undertaken to choose the best judgements using a decision making support system in the context analysis of the big data approach. Under the conditions of the market economy, to ensure the sustainable development of China's agricultural investment, the construction and improvement of the legal system is an effective way. Meanwhile, under on the background of big data, on the basis of in-depth reflection on the history, current situation, problems and institutional roots of China's agricultural investment legal system, this paper draws on the experience and lessons of foreign agricultural investment legal systems to conduct a more systematic analysis of China's agricultural investment legal system from the perspective of economic law. Finally, this paper gives advice on agricultural investment decision-making through problem analysis, which provides a reference for subsequent related research.

Abstract Objective: To explore the efficacy of high tibial osteotomy (HTO) combined with medial meniscus centralization in knee osteoarthritis.
Methods: A total of 26 patients who underwent surgery from October 2018 to October 2020 were reviewed. Among them, 14 patients underwent high tibial osteotomy combined with arthroscopic meniscus centralization surgery were centralized group, including 8 males and 6 females, with an average age of (50.2±1.4) years old and follow-up time of (16.8±4.0) months. Twelve patients with high tibial osteotomy were in the control group, including 6 males and 6 females, with an average age of (50.9±1.8) years and follow-up time of (19.0±4.8) months. Operation time, the knee Lysholm score, knee 2000 IKDC score, MRI, femoral tibial angle(FTA), hip knee ankle angle (HKA), and intraoperative and postoperative complications were recorded.
Results: All the incisions healed without any complication. The operation time in the centralized group was longer than that in the control group[(65.0±2.1)min vs(52.0±2.1)min,
Conclusion: HTO combined with centralization of medial meniscus can improve the reduction of medial meniscus and improve knee function. The medium and long-term curative effect still needs long-term follow-up of more cases.

Abstract For the first time in research literature, this report presents the seasonal changes of total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), and TOC:TN ratio in Chernozem solum (0–100 cm) as effected by 14 years of application of conventional tillage (CTu), deep reduced tillage (DRTu), and reduced tillage (RTu) under barley growing. During the season, TOC content drastically declined in the spring, increased in the summer, decreased in the middle of August, and recovered in October. TN content was gradually decreased during a crop growing season and renewed in the autumn. A trend of TOC:TN changes (vertical peak curve) in 0–30 cm soil layer varied from TOC (S-shaped curve) and TN (unsymmetrical decayed curve). The amplitude of seasonal TOC and TN changes in deeper layers was far fewer related to the upper horizons. The highest amplitude in 0–30, 30–60 and 60–100 cm layers was under: DRTu, CTu, DRTu—for TOC and DRTu, CTu, RTu—for TN correspondently. Tillage practices differently stratified the content of organic carbon and nitrogen in Chernozem profile. Minimum tillage benefited TOC sequestration in 0–5 and 5–10 cm layers: 24.83 ± 0.64- and 24.65 ± 0.57 g kg⁻¹—under RTu, 24.49 ± 0.62- and 24.71 ± 0.47 g kg⁻¹—under DRTu, while CT—deeper than 20 cm: 22.49–15.03 g kg⁻¹. The vertical distribution of TN content repeated TOC trend. TOC:TN ratio upraised from 12.60 in 0–5 to 14.33 in 80–100 cm layer and was the highest in summertime. A total (0–100 cm) profile was much greater under RTu and DRTu—for TN, and CTu, DRTu—for TOC. The correlation coefficient (r) was almost negligible between TOC and: T (air temperature), P (precipitation) and W (soil moisture). The strong and very strong r was found for TN—W, and P—W pairs. The negative r was between: TOC–P, TN–P, TOC:TN-W, TOC:TN–T and P–W pairs.

Abstract Urbanization is a long-term global trend critical for shaping human-Earth sustainability in the Anthropocene. In past decades, much progress has been made in researching urban sustainability, particularly global assessments of the big picture and case studies of individual cities. Here we examine the world's top 100 urban agglomerations (UAs) in terms of size—that rank high on sustainability agendas and cover 28% of the global UA area—regarding four broadly concerned challenges: population shrinkage, slum development, greenness loss, and heat exposure. Instead of merely focusing on global/regional “averages” or individual cases, we take one step further to identify the “anomalies” of urban sustainability among the 100 UAs for each dimension and on the whole as multi-dimensional coupled infrastructure systems. Results show: (1) urban population of the 100 UAs increased by 36% during 2000–2020; (2) urban slums occurred in 85% of 34 examined UAs in the Global South; (3) urban greenness declined in the 100 UAs by 8% during 2000–2019; and (4) 79% of the 100 UAs were projected to have less than 30 EHDs per year during 2021–2030. Our findings provide global baselines for place-based problem-driven policymaking for the examined UAs and suggest improving urban green infrastructure as their top policy imperative. Our findings point to a critical research gap in the urban sustainability literature: Studying sustainability transitions of the “abnormally” sustainable UAs identified in this study that had exceptional performances on the four examined sustainability dimensions, e.g., Beijing of China and Milan of Italy.
