Abstract Two new and similar cobalt(III) complexes, [CoL2]·NO3 (1) and [CoL2]·Cl (2), where L is 5-bromo-2-((2-(phenylamino)ethylimino)methyl)phenolate, have been synthesized and characterized by IR and UV-Vis spectra. Structures of the complexes were confirmed by single crystal X-ray determination. The Co atoms in the complexes are in octahedral coordination, with the donor atoms come from the two Schiff base ligands, viz. phenolate oxygen, and imino and amino nitrogen. The anions of the cobalt salts crystallized as counteranions in the complexes. The complexes were assayed for antibacterial activities by MTT method.

Abstract The internal water pressure condition influences the internal force of the circular hydraulic tunnel lining. However, calculating the lining’s internal force of this type of tunnel still lacks practical theory. Based on the modified routine method and the theory of structural mechanics, the internal stress model of the tunnel section is established in this paper. The general calculation formula of lining internal force is deduced by considering arbitrary water level height and different water conveyance pressures. The formula is used to calculate the internal force of the lining under the action of internal water pressure and the influence laws of water level height and water conveyance pressure are explored, respectively. In addition, case analysis was carried out for several typical projects. The results show that the maximum internal force of the lining increases with the increase of water pressure and inner radius and the maximum internal force is in a fixed special position when the water is conveyed under pressure. When the water is conveyed without pressure, the internal force of the lining will increase with the increased water level. However, the maximum bending moment and axial force will reduce at the special water level. This calculation theory considering different working conditions of internal water pressure solves the calculation problem of the internal force of a circular hydraulic tunnel. It improves the design theory of tunnel structure and provides a theoretical basis for this type of tunnel’s structural design and safe operation.

Abstract The transmission tower is an important infrastructure for transmission lines. To secure the operation of the power grid, it is particularly important to evaluate the safety of the in-service transmission tower under the action of random wind loads throughout their entire life cycle. Thus, this paper firstly establishes the time-varying equivalent performance function of the in-service transmission tower under the action of random wind loads. Then, in order to address the shortcomings of the traditional maximum entropy method, the high-order moments-based improved maximum entropy method (HM-IMEM) is proposed and extended to assess the wind resistance global reliability of the in-service transmission tower. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated evaluating the wind resistance global reliability of an in-service transmission tower in an engineering setting. Analytic results indicate that: (1) The proposed method can ensure a balance between calculation accuracy and efficiency. Compared with Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) method, the relative error is only 0.11% and the computational cost is much lower than that of the MCS method. (2) The reliability of the in-service transmission tower significantly decreased over time. In order to guide maintenance and reinforcement by predicting the time-varying performance of in-service transmission towers, it is of great engineering value to evaluate the wind resistance global reliability of the in-service transmission tower.

Abstract In order to solve the problem of small capacity and high energy consumption in China’s 5G communication technology system, the research proposes that based on the segmented weakly orthogonal matching pursuit (SWOMP) algorithm, it is combined with the compressed sensing matching pursuit algorithm to form a segmented backtracking weak selection positive algorithm and Cross Match Tracking (SCWOMP) algorithm. First, the sparseness of MIMO system technology and its transmission structure is analyzed. Then, the new model is built after comparing with other algorithms, and the problem of overestimating the low recovery probability in the calculation process is improved by the backtracking of the algorithm and the improvement of the angle of the atomic column selection, so as to reduce the number of iterations and improve the performance of the algorithm. The results show that, in the performance comparison of different sampling points under different compressed sensing recovery algorithms, the recovery probability of the SCWOMP algorithm is the best, and when the number of sampling points is 80, although the fixed step size of the SCWOMP algorithm is different, there is recovery. The probability has a maximum value, close to 1. Then, the improved compressed sensing recovery algorithm is simulated and analyzed. When the pruning coefficient is 0.5 and the number of sampling points is 80, the reconstruction rate has a maximum value, and when other algorithms reach the maximum reconstruction rate, the number of sampling points (M) is significantly greater than that of the SCWOMP algorithm. An increase in the rate of reduction of the reconstruction probability of the SCWOMP algorithm is significantly lower than that of other algorithms; when sparsity is equal to 70, the reconstruction probability becomes 0, indicating that SCWOMP has a wider reconfigurable range and has a significant performance effect. This shows that the proposed SCWOMP algorithm has the best detection performance for 5G communication symbol detection, ...

Abstract Semiconductor photocatalytic performances can be modulated through morphology modification. Herein porous hierarchical BiOBr microspheres (BiOBr-MS) of ~3 μm was firstly self-assembled without the assistance of a template via a facile solvothermal synthesis in triethylene glycol (TEG) at 150 °C for 3 h. KBrO 3 was exploited as a bromine source, which slowly provided bromide ions upon reduction in TEG and controlled the growth and self-assembly of primary BiOBr nanoplates. The addition of PVP during solvothermal synthesis of BiOBr-MS reduced the particle size by about three-fold to generate BiOBr sub-microspheres (BiOBr-sMS) of <1 μm. BiOBr-sMS exhibited significantly higher photocatalytic activity than BiOBr-MS for aerobic photooxidation of benzyl alcohol (BzOH) to benzaldehyde (BzH) under simulated sunlight irradiation (conversions of BzOH (50 mM) over BiOBr-sMS and BiOBr-MS were, respectively, 51.3% and 29.6% with 100% selectivity to BzH after Xenon illumination for 2 h at 25 °C). The photogenerated holes and ·O 2 − were found to be main reactive species for the BzOH oxidation over BiOBr spheres by scavenging tests and spin-trapping EPR spectra. The higher photocatalytic activity of BiOBr-sMS was attributed to its more open hierarchical structure, efficient charge separation, more negative conduction-band position and the generation of larger amounts of ·O 2 − .

Abstract Due to the problems of data sparsity and cold start in traditional recommendation systems, social information is introduced. From the perspective of heterogeneity, it reflects the indirect relationship between users, and from the perspective of homogeneity, it reflects the direct relationship between users. At present, most social recommendation is based on the homogeneity or heterogeneity of social networks. Few studies consider both of them at the same time, and the deep structure of social networks is not extensively exploited and comprehensively explore. To address these issues, we propose a unified H2Rec model to fuse homogeneous and heterogeneous information for recommendations in social networks. Considering the rich semantics reflected by metapaths in heterogeneous information and the wealth of social information reflected by homogeneous information, the proposed method uses a random walk strategy to generate node sequences in a homogeneous information network and a random walk strategy guided by metapaths to generate node sequences in a heterogeneous information network (HIN). Finally, we combine the two parts into a unified model for social recommendation. Extensive experiments on three real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Abstract Accurate fault diagnosis is essential for the safe operation of rotating machinery. Recently, traditional deep learning-based fault diagnosis have achieved promising results. However, most of these methods focus only on supervised learning and tend to use small convolution kernels non-effectively to extract features that are not controllable and have poor interpretability. To this end, this study proposes an innovative semi-supervised learning method for bearing fault diagnosis. Firstly, multi-scale dilated convolution squeeze-and-excitation residual blocks are designed to exact local and global features. Secondly, a classifier generative adversarial network is employed to achieve multi-task learning. Both unsupervised and supervised learning are performed simultaneously to improve the generalization ability. Finally, supervised learning is applied to fine-tune the final model, which can extract multi-scale features and be further improved by implicit data augmentation. Experiments on two datasets were carried out, and the results verified the superiority of the proposed method.

Abstract Artificial domestication provided the original motivation to the blooming of agriculture, following with the dramatic change of the genetic background of crops and livestock. According to theory and technology upgradation that contributing to the omics, we appreciate using the pan-genome instead of single reference genome for crop study. By comparison and integration of multiple genomes under the guidance of pan-genome theory, we can estimate the genomic information range of a species, leading to a global understanding of its genetic diversity. Combining pan-genome with large size chromosomal structural variations, high throughput population resequencing, and multi-omics data, we can profoundly study the genetic basis behind species traits we focus on. Soybean is one of the most important commercial crops over the world. It is also essential to our food security. Dissecting the formation of genetic diversity and the causal loci of key agricultural traits of soybean will make the modern soybean breeding more efficiently. In this review, we summarize the core idea of pan-genome and clarified the characteristics of construction strategies of pan-genome such as de novo/mapping assembly, iterative assembly and graph-based genome. Then we used the soybean pan-genome work as a case study to introduce the general way to study pan-genome. We highlighted the contribution of structural variation (SV) to the evolution/domestication of soybean and its value in understanding the genetic bases of agronomy traits. By those, we approved the value of graph-based pan-genome for data integration and SV calculation. Future research directions are also discussed for crop genomics and data science.

Abstract Under hydrothermal conditions, a Keggin-type polyoxometalate-based metal–organic complex, H4{[Cu4(EDDP)2(H2O)5]1.5(SiW12O40)}∙7.5H2O (CuW-EDDP, H4EDDP = ethylene-diamine-N,N'-dipropionic acid), was synthesized by reacting Na10[A-α-SiW9O34]·18H2O and CuCl2·2H2O in the presence of H4EDDP ligands and characterized by powder and single-crystal X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and thermogravimetry. Interestingly, CuW-EDDP exhibited a three-dimensional structure with (4,6)-connected constructed from [SiW12O40]4− units and tetranuclear Cu complexes [Cu4(EDDP)2(H2O)5]. As an effective heterogeneous catalyst, CuW-EDDP exhibited excellent performance, good reusability, and structural stability in the selective oxidation of methyl phenyl sulfide with high conversion (100%) and selectivity (98%) within 30 min. Furthermore, the catalytic activity of CuW-EDDP in the oxidation of other sulfide derivatives was investigated.

Abstract ABSTRACTWe for the first time demonstrate ground-based remote sensing of Nitrous Oxide (N2O) over Hefei in eastern China from high resolution Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) solar spectra. We have retrieved Column-averaged Abundance of N2O ([Formula: see text]) from both Near-Infrared (NIR, 4000 to 11,000 cm−1) and Mid-Infrared (MIR, 2400 to 3200 cm−1) solar spectra and inspected their agreement. Generally, NIR and MIR measurements agree well with a correlation coefficient of 0.86 and an average difference of (1.33 ± 4.05) ppbv (NIR – MIR). By correcting the bias of the two datasets, we combine the NIR and MIR measurements to investigate seasonality and inter-annual trend of [Formula: see text] over Hefei. The observed monthly mean time series of [Formula: see text] minimize in June and maximize in September, with values of (316.55 ± 12.22) ppbv and (322.05 ± 12.93) ppbv, respectively. The [Formula: see text] time series from 2015 to 2020 showed an inter-annual trend of (0.53 ± 0.10) %/year over Hefei, China. We also compared the FTIR [Formula: see text] observations with GEOS-Chem model [Formula: see text] simulations. They are in reasonable agreement with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.71, but GEOS-Chem model underestimated the seasonality of the observations. This study can enhance current knowledge of ground-based high-resolution FTIR remote sensing of N2O in the atmosphere and contribute to generating a new reliable N2O dataset for climate change research.
