Abstract The relentless expansion of communications services and applications in 5G networks and their further projected growth bring the challenge of necessary spectrum scarcity, a challenge which might be overcome using the concept of cognitive radio. Furthermore, an extremely high number of low-power devices are introduced by the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT), which also requires efficient energy usage and practically applicable device powering. Motivated by these facts, in this paper, we analyze a wirelessly powered underlay cognitive system based on a realistic case in which statistical channel state information (CSI) is available. In the system considered, the primary and the cognitive networks share the same spectrum band under the constraint of an interference threshold and a maximal tolerable outage permitted by the primary user. To adopt the system model in realistic IoT application scenarios in which network nodes are mobile, we consider the randomly moving cognitive user receiver. For the analyzed system, we derive the closed-form expressions for the outage probability, the outage capacity, and the ergodic capacity. The obtained analytical results are corroborated by an independent simulation method.

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic impacted workers globally during 2020-2022 and it has had major psychological implications for workers' wellbeing. This longitudinal study analyzed risk and protective factors predicting COVID-19 anxiety among workers in Finland. Longitudinal national sample of Finnish workers (n = 685) participated in a five-wave study conducted in 2020-2022, covering multiple waves of the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath. Our outcome measure was COVID-19 anxiety. Predictors were psychological distress, work exhaustion, technostress, and loneliness. Models also controlled for self-regulation; social support at work and remote working; and socio-demographic background factors. Both within-person and between-person effects were analyzed using multilevel hybrid regression models. COVID-19 anxiety varied between time points which is explained by changes in circumstances during the pandemic. Highest anxiety was expressed in the middle of the Delta variant surge and lockdown in spring 2021. Within-person changes in psychological distress, work exhaustion, technostress, self-regulation, and perceived loneliness were all associated with COVID-19 anxiety. Between-person results showed that distressed, exhausted, technostressed, and lonely workers expressed more anxiety than others. Remote workers reported higher anxiety over time than others. Those who had reported high self-regulation reported lower anxiety than others. Female gender and younger age were associated with higher anxiety. COVID-19 anxiety continues to be an important phenomenon with a magnitude of consequences on people and numerous industries. This study showed that general mental health and work stressors predict COVID-19 anxiety. Promoting social support and workers' self-regulation skills can be beneficial for overcoming anxiety during and after the pandemic.

Abstract In the scenario of a natural or human-induced disaster, traditional communication infrastructure is often disrupted or even completely unavailable, making the employment of emergency wireless networks highly important. In this paper, we consider an industrial Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system assisted by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that restores connectivity from the master terminal unit (MTU) to the remote terminal unit (RTU). The UAV also provides power supply to the ground RTU, which transmits the signal to the end-user terminal (UT) using the harvested RF energy. The MTU-UAV and UAV-RTU channels are modeled through Nakagami-

Abstract Amyand's hernia represents an inguinal hernia containing an appendix within the hernia sac. This extremely rare condition occurs in approximately 1% of all inguinal hernias. This report describes the case of an 84-year-old male who presented with a right inguinal mass that intraoperatively turned out to be Amyand's hernia type-II with a gangrenous and perforated appendix. An appendectomy and peritoneal lavage were performed, followed by a hernioplasty where a modified Bassini repair was used. The patient fully recovered, and was discharged from the hospital on the fourth day. A non-reducible inguinal hernia containing a perforated appendix is a very rare emergency that requires immediate intervention to prevent abdominal sepsis. Therefore, while examining an inguinal hernia, the possibility of Amyand's hernia should always be considered.

Abstract Purpose: To investigate the recent trends in the incidence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer as comorbidity in primary health care (Community Health Center, Zemun, Belgrade, which covers two municipalities - Surchin and Zemun), during the period 2014-2017.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed the incidence of COPD and lung cancer as comorbidity in a 4-year period. Data were derived from the Heliant information system. Descriptive statistics -frequencies and percentages - were used, and differences between groups were tested by x2 test.
Results: The number of patients with COPD was slightly, but insignificantly, higher each consecutive year. Lung cancer as comorbidity appeared in about 11% of these patients. As for gender, male and female patients contributed equally to the number of patients with CORD.
Conclusion: The number of patients with COPD registered in primary health care was similar in all investigated years. Lung cancer as comorbidity was found in a significantly smaller number of these patients.

Abstract This case report details a rare instance of a perforated jejunal gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) in a 76-year-old female patient. The patient presented with acute abdominal pain and distension without any changes in bowel habits or episodes of nausea and vomiting. Initial diagnostics, including abdominal plain radiography and ultrasonography, were inconclusive; however, a computed tomography (CT) scan revealed pneumoperitoneum and an irregular fluid collection suggestive of small intestine perforations. Surgical intervention uncovered a 35 mm jejunal GIST with a 10 mm perforation. Histopathological examination confirmed a mixed cell type GIST with high malignancy potential, further substantiated by immunohistochemistry markers CD117, DOG1, and vimentin. Molecular analysis illuminated the role of key oncogenes, primarily KIT and PDGFRA mutations, emphasizing the importance of molecular diagnostics in GIST management. Despite the severity of the presentation, the patient's postoperative recovery was favorable, highlighting the effectiveness of prompt surgical and multidisciplinary approaches in managing complex GIST cases.
