Abstract Metasurfaces consist of subwavelength artificial elements (also called meta-atoms) arranged in a two-dimensional fashion. Through careful design of these elements, the metasurfaces can control the amplitude, phase, frequency, and polarization of electromagnetic (EM) waves. Information metasurfaces extend this concept by characterizing the meta-atoms in a digital manner, integrating functionalities for information processing. The information metasurfaces can simultaneously manipulate the EM waves in reprogrammable ways and modulate the digital information in real time, making the fusion of the EM world and digital world. The information metasurfaces have found diverse applications in wireless communications, intelligent sensing and imaging, intelligent computing, and internet of things (IoT). Prof. Tie Jun Cui is affiliated with Southeast University in Nanjing, China, where he serves as the Director of the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves. He is a prominent researcher in the field of metamaterial, metasurface, and computational electromagnetics. He has proposed the concepts, and made systematic studies, of digital coding metasurfaces and programmable metasurfaces, and established the system of information metasurfaces, building a direct link between the electromagnetic world and digital world. NSR spoke to Professor Cui on the recent advancement and the prospects of information metasurfaces.

Abstract Unstable ventilatory control is one of the key pathophysiological mechanisms of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and the activity of chemoreceptors is an important part of ventilatory control. Chemosensitivity has a significant impact on the severity and prognosis of OSA, and the incidence of comorbidities. The focus on reducing chemosensitivity can be seen as an emerging theme to promote individualized and precise treatment of OSA. Further exploration of chemosensitivity in OSA will be an emerging direction and a major challenge for current and future research in the field of sleep.

Abstract In today's society, with the gradual improve5ment of material living standards, people are also more in pursuit of their own spiritual enjoyment. The study of piano has gradually become a way for people to enrich their spiritual life, and more and more people attach importance to it. In the field of piano teaching, the two-piano method is a unique form of playing the piano. In order to solve the problem that the recognition accuracy of the sequence of two pianos is seriously reduced in the environment of noise and reverberation, this paper proposes an auxiliary training analysis system based on the neural network model. Firstly, in order to learn the nonlinear relationship between the sound order and the target task label from the massive data, a multitask preprocessing method combining speech enhancement and detection is used to supervise the deep neural network training. Then, convolutional neural network is used to construct the end-to-end recognition system, and the initial recognition results are checked and corrected by the phonological sequence model. Finally, the sequence recognition is carried out under the condition of noise, and the articulation is improved by speech enhancement front-end module, and then the sequence recognition model is used for recognition. Compared with traditional training methods, it is proved that our method is effective in improving the training efficiency and performance quality of players. At the same time, this method breaks through the limitation of traditional training method of double piano, creates a more scientific training means, and realizes the practice and application of artificial intelligence technology in the teaching of double piano.

Abstract Lymphatic vessel endothelial hyaluronan receptor 1 (LYVE-1) serves as a prominent marker for lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs) and is pivotal in the process of lymphangiogenesis, a critical factor in cancer development and metastasis. Overexpression of LYVE-1 has been observed in various cancers, where it is recognized as an adverse prognostic indicator. Targeting LYVE-1 has demonstrated inhibitory effects on tumor cell proliferation, migration, and the formation of lymph node metastases both in vitro and in vivo. While extensive research has focused on the role of LYVE-1 in cancer cells, its involvement in virus infection and associated diseases remains largely unexplored. This review consolidates recent findings regarding the expression of LYVE-1 and its functions in lymphangiogenesis during various viral infections and the development of related diseases, with a particular emphasis on Kaposi's sarcoma herpesvirus. Despite the limited available data, it is evident that further studies are essential to comprehensively understand the contribution of LYVE-1 to viral pathogenesis and oncogenesis.

Abstract Mesoporous metal nanomaterials (MPMNs) are pivotal in nanotechnology, especially in electrochemical applications, due to their unique structure. Unlike traditional nanomaterials, MPMNs possess hierarchical and mesoporous characteristics, providing more active sites for improved mass and electron transfer. This distinctive composition offers dual benefits, enhancing activity, stability, and selectivity for specific reactions. The intricate architecture, featuring interconnected pores, amplifies surface area, ensuring efficient use of active sites and boosting reactivity in electrocatalytic processes. Additionally, the mesoporous nature promotes superior diffusion kinetics, facilitating better transport of reactants and products. This intricate interplay of structural elements contributes not only to the increased efficiency of electrochemical reactions but also to the extended durability of MPMNs during prolonged usage. This concept focus on the synthesis and design strategies of MPMNs, aligning with the dynamic requirements of diverse electrocatalytic applications. The synergy resulting from these advancements not only accentuates the intrinsic properties of MPMNs but also broadens their scope for practical implementation in emerging fields of electrochemistry.

Abstract Nowadays, more and more smart antibacterial materials have been prepared to meet some specific application area, and most of these materials have complex fabrication processes or incompatible biocompatibility. In this paper, a smart monomer that can switch between the form of quaternary ammonium salt and zwitterionic betaine was prepared and grafted onto cotton fabric. This finished cotton was smart too, it had nice antibacterial performance (99.89 % for E. coli and 99.97 % for S. aureus) in the form of quaternary ammonium salt, and it could release most of the attached bacteria when transferred to the form of zwitterionic betaine in PBS, and the form of zwitterionic betaine could converse back to the state of quaternary ammonium salt in HAC. Simultaneously, it was biocompatible in the form of zwitterionic betaine form. Furthermore, this smart material had nice function reproducibility after repeated transformations. In general, the smart antibacterial cotton could switch between bacteria-killing and bacteria-releasing reversibly, and had good biocompatibility and nice reproducibility, showing a potential application in reusable medical protective materials.

Abstract Hierarchical management is an essential component of nurse post management and an unavoidable tendency in nursing education. According to their existing condition, various hospitals around the country have actively tested the hierarchical usage and management model of clinical nurses, with some success. The application impact of hierarchical nursing care in patients with hypertension complicated by cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risk factors is the focus of this research. In a hospital, 300 patients with hypertension complicated by cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risk factors were chosen. All patients were split into two groups using the coin-throwing random method: the observation group received hierarchical nurse management and the control group received regular nursing management, with 150 cases in each group. The two groups' blood pressure, blood lipids, blood glucose, poor habits, rehospitalization rate, and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular problems were also examined. At the same time, the patients' poor mood and quality of life were assessed before and after the intervention. In the control group followed up for 1 year, the blood pressure compliance rate was 44.88%, the blood lipid compliance rate was 28.65%, the blood glucose compliance rate was 45.00%, the smokers with bad lifestyle habits were 26.57%, the overweight and obese were 23.5%, the high sodium was 31.67%, the rehospitalization rate was 15.48%, and the incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications was 43.00%. The observation group's blood pressure, blood lipids, and blood sugar compliance rates rose substantially (
