Abstract Racket sports (tennis, pawns, tennis, etc.) are currently very popular sports, and they are a very intense aerobic exercise. The climatic conditions of the competition venue, time difference factors, the size of the competition venue, background, lighting, wind direction, etc. may all have an impact on the performance of the game. In order to fully control and eliminate these risk factors, it is recommended to go to the competition site for adaptive training one month in advance. If you can participate in the prematch training camp organized by the general administration, it is of course the best choice. This research mainly discusses the development of MEMS sensors in tennis teaching and training under the background of big data intelligent communication. Using a single inertial sensor fixed on the bottom of the racket for data collection, a real-time data stream window segmentation method based on the combination of sliding window and action window is proposed. Finally, based on the above recognition method, an intelligent tennis training system software is developed, introduces the processing flow of MEMS sensor data, and gives a specific implementation plan for data preprocessing through in-depth study of the characteristics of inertial navigation data. The tennis training system collects the raw data of tennis players during the training process through the MEMS sensor hardware module placed at the bottom of the tennis racket handle, and the sensor module can upload these raw data to the smart phone terminal through wireless communication. The smart phone terminal can analyze and process the collected raw data and finally feedback the number and proportion of each technical action of the tennis player in the training process and the maximum racquet speed through the mobile phone software in real time. After the practice training, the average CTN score of the control group was 141.73, and the standard deviation of the data was 4.185. After the practice training, the average CTN score of the experimental ...

Abstract Reducing PM2.5 is an important way to ameliorate air quality. Research on driving factors of PM2.5 can provide empirical support for controlling cross-regional linkage air pollution. In this paper, we first propose a new spatial autoregressive threshold panel model and its estimation method, and then apply this methodology to study influencing elements of PM2.5 using the panel data of China during 2000–2019. The results reveal that China's provincial PM2.5 has a significant positive spatial spillover effect, and its major driving factors have significant two regimes threshold characteristic when economic development is divided into low and high levels. Specifically, (1) PM2.5 concentration in adjacent provinces increases 1% can lead to that in observing province increases 0.7741%. (2) The positive impacts of population size, energy structure and humidity on PM2.5 are significant at low economic level, and become not significant at high economic level. (3) The influence of industrialization, economic development, energy intensity, urbanization and wind speed on PM2.5 in two regimes is significantly positive, and elasticity coefficients of industrialization and economic development decrease with improvement of economic level while energy intensity, urbanization and wind speed are on the contrary. (4) The influence of possession of civil vehicles on PM2.5 changes from negative to positive as economic level increases. (5) Temperature has no significant effect on PM2.5 concentration. (6) The influence of precipitation on PM2.5 is significantly positive in regime II and not significant in regime I. Therefore, local governments should strengthen cooperation with adjacent provinces and jointly adopt effective measures to cut down on PM2.5 pollution. The provinces with low economic level should accelerate economic transformation, improve industrial production efficiency, optimize energy structure, and advocate green and low-carbon lifestyle. The provinces with high economic level need to further expand consumer demand, ...

Abstract As a major invasive pest in China, Spodoptera frugiperda (Smith) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) has caused great damage to crops. Hymenopteran parasitoids, especially the braconid wasps, play crucial roles in depressing pest populations. However, there was little information about the ideal storage of parasitoids to achieve their mass-rearing. Here, we identified a dominant parasitoid of S. frugiperda , Microplitis manilae (Ashmead) (Hymenoptera: Braconidae), in the Hainan province of China with a field parasitism rate of 5.66–19.10%. The investigation of biological parameters revealed that the parasitism rate of M. manilae significantly decreased with an increase in both wasp adult longevity and host age, and the wasp of 1–3 d post eclosion performed best on the first instar of host larvae, showing the highest parasitism rate. We also discovered that the decreased temperature from 30 to 20 °C greatly extended the longevity of wasp adults, and a similar result was observed after feeding on 10% sucrose water compared with sterile water. Then, the effects of different pupal cold storage temperatures (4 and 10 °C), storage period (prepupa, middle-aged pupa, late-aged pupa) and storage time (5, 10 or 20 d) on the emergence rate, parasitism rate, female proportion and longevity of M. manilae were investigated. The results demonstrated that the middle-aged wasp pupae stored at 10 °C for 5–10 d possessed a stronger parasitic ability and longer longevity. These findings may promote the flexibility and efficacy of large-scale production of M. manilae , thus contributing to its biological field control against S. frugiperda.

Abstract (1) Background and Objective: Major League Baseball (MLB) is one of the most popular international sport events worldwide. Many people are very interest in the related activities, and they are also curious about the outcome of the next game. There are many factors that affect the outcome of a baseball game, and it is very difficult to predict the outcome of the game precisely. At present, relevant research predicts the accuracy of the next game falls between 55% and 62%. (2) Methods: This research collected MLB game data from 2015 to 2019 and organized a total of 30 datasets for each team to predict the outcome of the next game. The prediction method used includes one-dimensional convolutional neural network (1DCNN) and three machine-learning methods, namely an artificial neural network (ANN), support vector machine (SVM), and logistic regression (LR). (3) Results: The prediction results show that, among the four prediction models, SVM obtains the highest prediction accuracies of 64.25% and 65.75% without feature selection and with feature selection, respectively; and the best AUCs are 0.6495 and 0.6501, respectively. (4) Conclusions: This study used feature selection and optimized parameter combination to increase the prediction performance to around 65%, which surpasses the prediction accuracies when compared to the state-of-the-art works in the literature.

Abstract Image denoising, a classic ill-posed problem, aims to recover a latent image from a noisy measurement. Over the past few decades, a considerable number of denoising methods have been studied extensively. Among these methods, supervised deep convolutional networks have garnered increasing attention, and their superior performance is attributed to their capability to learn realistic image priors from a large amount of paired noisy and clean images. However, if the image to be denoised is significantly different from the training images, it could lead to inferior results, and the networks may even produce hallucinations by using inappropriate image priors to handle an unseen noisy image. Recently, deep image prior (DIP) was proposed, and it overcame this drawback to some extent. The structure of the DIP generator network is capable of capturing the low-level statistics of a natural image using an unsupervised method with no training images other than the image itself. Compared with a supervised denoising model, the unsupervised DIP is more flexible when processing image content that must be denoised. Nevertheless, the denoising performance of DIP is usually inferior to the current supervised learning-based methods using deep convolutional networks, and it is susceptible to the over-fitting problem. To solve these problems, we propose a novel deep generative network with multiple target images and an adaptive termination condition. Specifically, we utilized mainstream denoising methods to generate two clear target images to be used with the original noisy image, enabling better guidance during the convergence process and improving the convergence speed. Moreover, we adopted the noise level estimation (NLE) technique to set a more reasonable adaptive termination condition, which can effectively solve the problem of over-fitting. Extensive experiments demonstrated that, according to the denoising results, the proposed approach significantly outperforms the original DIP method in tests on different databases. ...

Abstract The energy trade is an important pillar of each country’s development, making up for the imbalance in the production and consumption of fossil fuels. Geopolitical risks affect the energy trade of various countries to a certain extent, but the causes of geopolitical risks are complex, and energy trade also involves many aspects, so the impact of geopolitics on energy trade is also complex. Based on the monthly data from 2000 to 2020 of 17 emerging economies, this paper employs the fixed-effect model and the regression-discontinuity (RD) model to verify the negative impact of geopolitics on energy trade first and then analyze the mechanism and heterogeneity of the impact. The following conclusions are drawn: First, geopolitics has a significant negative impact on the import and export of the energy trade, and the inhibition on the export is greater than that on the import. Second, the impact mechanism of geopolitics on the energy trade is reflected in the lagging effect and mediating effect on the imports and exports; that is, the negative impact of geopolitics on energy trade continued to be significant 10 months later. Coal and crude oil prices, as mediating variables, decreased to reduce the imports and exports, whereas natural gas prices showed an increase. Third, the impact of geopolitics on energy trade is heterogeneous in terms of national attribute characteristics and geo-event types.

Abstract In this work, four metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) including DUT-4, DUT-8, IRMOF-8, and MIL-140B were synthesized using 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid as organic ligand and Al3+, Co2+, Zn2+, and Zr4+as metal centers, then coated on stainless steel wires as solid-phase microextraction (SPME) fiber coatings. Five aldehyde biomarkers (hexanal, heptanal, octanal, decanal, and nonanal) in exhaled breath of lung cancer patients were used as the target analytes, and extracted using four MOFs fiber coatings, followed by thermal desorption and quantitative analysis using GC–MS. The DUT-4 was found to be the most appropriate sorbent. The developed SPME-GC–MS method has large enrichment factors (877–1711), wide linear ranges (0.5–1000 μg L−1), and low detection limits (0.056–0.138 μg L−1). The relative standard deviation for six replicate cycles using one DUT-4 coated fiber were 2.0–7.7 % (intra-day) and 2.2–4.6 % (inter-day), respectively. The fiber-to-fiber reproducibility for three parallel prepared fibers was in the range of 3.7–13.7 % (RSD). The fabricated DUT-4 coated fiber can withstand at least 100 cycles of extraction/desorption/conditioning without significant loss of extraction efficiency and precision. The high enrichment factors of the DUT-4 coatings are attributed to the high specific surface area, unique porous structure, and abundant aluminum coordinated unsaturated metal sites of the DUT-4 material. Moreover, the 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid has two benzene rings with a 180° orientation, which not only increases the hydrophobicity of the MOFs material to avoid water molecules occupying adsorption sites and helps to form a rigid skeleton structure with a large number of functional adsorption sites on the surface, thereby improving the enrichment factor of target analytes. Ultimately, the developed DUT-4 coated SPME fibers was sucessfully used for the analysis of exhaled breath samples, and the recoveries for the spiked analytes were in the range of 89–105 %.

Abstract Complete androgen insensitivity syndrome (CAIS) is a rare disease that can be easily misdiagnosed. Before puberty, this condition is easily misdiagnosed as an inguinal hernia. This case report describes a 31-year-old phenotypically female patient with CAIS who was misdiagnosed twice previously with an inguinal hernia. Her karyotype analysis showed that she was 46, XY. She underwent a bilateral gonadectomy and long-term hormone replacement therapy. A Leydig cell tumour of the right testis was diagnosed postoperatively. This report also reviews the current understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of CAIS.

Abstract Perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT), a fat layer that provides structural support to the blood vessels, is a cushion protecting the vessel wall from neighbouring tissues during contraction and relaxation. PVAT actively regulates vascular tone by secreting vasoactive (vasodilatory and vasoconstrictive) factors (e.g., adipokines, batokines, and lipokines) or microRNA (miRNA)-containing exosomes to reduce the hyperreactivity induced by obesity. Of particular interest are adipocyte-derived exosomal miRNAs, which act as crucial regulators, counteracting the detrimental effects of obesity on cardiovascular well-being. These exosomes serve as potent messengers, facilitating the transport of miRNAs and other bioactive molecules involved in intercellular communication. Undoubtedly, the unique function of exosomal miRNAs promotes vascular homeostasis by fine-tuning endothelial function, vascular remodelling, and inflammatory environment, thereby preventing cardiovascular disease. The collective findings comprehensively explain their protective functions by exploring the intricate mechanisms through which PVAT and adipocyte-derived exosomal miRNAs collaboratively orchestrate vascular health. Taken together, this review strategically focuses on PVAT, exosomes, and adipocyte-derived miRNAs, offering valuable insights that can potentially inform the development of targeted interventions for cardiovascular diseases.
