    Abstract The aim of this study was to describe the relationship between the family and the social networks of care for children with special health care needs. This is a qualitative research conducted with ten families of these children. Data collection was conducted between January and February 2012, we used the triangulation technique for data collection: desk research, semi-structured interview, building genogram and eco-map. For data analysis we used the thematic content analysis. The results show that social networks are limited and specific. The difficulties in access to health services and education. We conclude that the difficulties experienced by the families of these are related to the completeness and accessibility to services and health actions. It is recommended actions centered on the child and his family, the promotion and coordination of social networks, for the reorganization of family dynamics.

    Abstract For considering childbirth and birth as a unique process with specificities that interfere in the lives of the people involved, especially for the mother, child and family; We sought to identify scientific evidence in the national and international literature the factors that interfere in the process of childbirth and birth. This is an integrative literature review carried out in the databases of Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Publisher Medline (PubMed), with the descriptors "childbirth" and "pregnant women". 734 studies were found, of which 41 were included in the study. In prenatal care, health education actions are an essential element for preparing for childbirth. It was highlighted that the use of innovative methodologies must be combined with personal contact, bonding and the valuation of singularities and integrality. Still, it became evident that the birth process is considered a ritual of passage and that this experience gives new meaning and gives meaning to the life of the woman and her family. Therefore, the support received by midwives was identified as a differential. However, obstetric care is shown to be fragmented, the binomial mother and child do not have their well-being prioritized. Parturients still wander through the maternity hospitals in search of care, where they are attended with inadequate interventions and abuse of professional and institutional power. It is necessary to change the paradigm, through professional qualification, of training that sensitize humanized, integral and safe care, supported by scientificity and by rescuing the valorization of childbirth and birth as a physiological and social event.

    Abstract O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever e analisar as representações sociais de profissionais de saúde sobre a assistência ao parto e violências em um hospital universitário do sul do Brasil. Como método foi utilizada a observação participante no interior de um centro obstétrico e entrevistas com profissionais de saúde de um hospital universitário. Adotou-se o referencial socioantropológico das Representações Sociais para a interpretação dos dados. Os resultados mostram que as práticas na atenção ao parto ainda são predominantemente pautadas no modelo de atendimento tecnocrático e no descumprimento dos protocolos estabelecidos no âmbito do Sistema Único de Saúde. Observou-se também que a comunicação conflituosa entre as equipes é uma fonte de tensões que se reflete nas práticas obstétricas. Concluiu -se que é indispensável que ocorram mudanças na formação de profissionais de saúde, com foco nas boas práticas do parto e nascimento, com vistas a implantação do modelo de atenção humanista.

    Abstract Aim: to characterize the studied population and to describe the interventions of the nurses for the prevention of pressure injury in an Adult Intensive Care Unit. Method: descriptive, cross-sectional study with 13 nurses from an Intensive Care Unit, carried out between August and September 2017. A questionnaire and descriptive statistics were used. Results: female participants predominated (84.9%) and the mean age was 29.9 years of age. In order to prevent pressure injury, evidence-based care, scientific basis and institutional protocols were evidenced. The most frequently mentioned care included assessment of patients' mobility and physical examination at admission. As preventive care, the nurses prescribed the maintenance of the patient with hydrated skin, alternating decubitus, body hygiene and the use of pyramidal mattress. Conclusion: nurses use significant interventions in the prevention of pressure injury, but there are still gaps in care provided.

    Abstract Objective: to retrieve the experiences of a group of women regarding home birth. Method: qualitative, exploratory and descriptive study, performed in the household of 11 women who had had their deliveries in the home environment and whose acquisition occurred from the snowball sampling technique. The data collection occurred from August to October 2017, through Thematic Oral History interview. The data were submitted to thematic content analysis. Results: The parturition in the household was involved by representativeness, family care, rituals and popular beliefs, allied to the midwife's representative work. Final thoughts: it is necessary to reflect the concerns of the models of obstetric care, constructed over the years, characterized by the gradual loss of the lead role and autonomy of women and their families, as well as encourage new possibilities to childbirth care, guided by the cultural, humanized, personified and integral care.

    Abstract Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo narrativa de caráter descritivo-exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa, que tem por objetivo analisar as publicações sobre oncologia pediátrica e as implicações para o cuidado de enfermagem. A busca foi realizada em fevereiro de 2016, na base de dados Literatura Latino-Americana e do Cari­be em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), utilizou-se os seguintes descritores: “Enfermagem Pediátrica” and “Enfermagem Oncológica”. A partir da análise de dados, emergiram-se três categorias: A ótica do cuidar da criança oncológica no contexto da família e da equipe de enfermagem; A repercussão dos sentimentos e emoções que permeiam o processo de adoecimento; A promoção da qualidade de vida da criança oncológica e família. Nesse sentido, conclui-se que a equipe de enfermagem, não deve limitar-se apenas aos protocolos terapêuticos, mas também incluir ações humanizadas que valorizem a participação constante da família nesse contexto, visto que a cura não deve ser baseada apenas no restabelecimento biológico, mas no bem-estar e qualidade de vida dessas crianças.

    Abstract Objetivo: Identificar o conhecimento de gestantes atendidas na atenção básica sobre o aleitamento materno. Métodos: Estudo descritivo, transversal e quantitativo desenvolvido com 77 gestantes atendidas em 11 Estratégias Saúde da Família do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. A coleta de dados realizou-se entre agosto e outubro de 2018 por meio de um questionário semiestruturado contemplando variáveis socioeconômicas e aleitamento materno. Para a análise, utilizou-se o software Statistical Program of Social Science por meio de estatística descritiva. Resultados: As gestantes apresentavam idades entre 16 e 42 anos, 59 (76,62%) eram autodeclaradas brancas, 32 (41,56%) eram casadas. Quanto ao aleitamento materno exclusivo, 61 (79,2%) gestantes responderam somente o leite. Com relação às orientações sobre amamentação, o enfermeiro apareceu como o profissional mais mencionado pelas participantes. A totalidade das participantes respondeu que o local de orientação sobre gestação é o pré-natal na atenção básica. Conclusão: As gestantes possuem conhecimento acerca do aleitamento materno, o que pode estar associado ao fato de terem realizado o pré-natal na atenção básica.

    Abstract RESUMO: Objetivo: conhecer as percepções das famílias atendidas pelo Primeira Infância Melhor acerca de suas repercussões no crescimento e desenvolvimento infantil e no cuidado familial das crianças. Métodos: Estudo qualitativo realizado no domicílio de 15 famílias. Os dados foram coletados por entrevistas semiestruturadas em setembro de 2016 seguida da análise de conteúdo temática. Resultados: identificaram que crescer e se desenvolver são processos que ocorrem em conjunto, reconheceram o apoio dos visitadores, que situações de vulnerabilidade e a troca constante dos visitadores interferem negativamente no crescimento e desenvolvimento infantil, que o programa oportuniza a construção do aprendizado e fortalecimento de um cuidado familial efetivo. Conclusão: Recomenda-se que a enfermagem esteja incluída junto à equipe interdisciplinar, e que o Primeira Infância Melhor seja visualizado na atenção primária como uma estratégia capaz de fortalecer a promoção da saúde e a integralidade do cuidado à criança e sua família.

    Abstract To know the experiences of men in the exercise of paternity. Method: a descriptive-exploratory study with a qualitative approach, conducted with 15 men who accompanied their partners in a course for pregnant women. The production of data occurred through a narrative interview and the analysis of thematic content. Results: the men in this study experienced paternity actively, helping to care for their children in relation to maintaining basic needs and education. The experiences generated personal impacts such as interest in self care and the search for information to qualify the exercise off paternity. Final considerations: nursing can contribute to strengthening the exercise of paternity through actions that value the care and insertion of men in the health system
