Methods: The regurgitation of mitral valve was gradually increased under the certain condition of heart rate, stroke volume, and mean aortic pressure and captured the hydrodynamic performance of the aortic valve.
Results: The study on the hydrodynamic performance of mechanical aortic valve (25AJ-501) by using a model of mitral regurgitation found that the effective orifice area and mean pressure difference of the aortic valve are negatively correlated with the degree of mitral regurgitation.
Conclusions: The method based on a model of mitral regurgitation that could finely adjust the regurgitant volume established in this study can be used to study the effect of mitral valve regurgitation on the hydrodynamic performance of the aortic valve.

Abstract Sports apps are third-party applications for smartphones or wearables that can help users record fitness data and guide their exercise behavior. Many Chinese college students are compelled to use sports apps for running exercises to improve their physical health and cultivate extracurricular exercise habits; however, the acceptance and use of sports apps by college students in mandatory situations requires elucidation. We explored the influencing factors of university students' behavioral intention and usage behavior to use sports apps in mandatory situations by combining the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology and the Self-Determination Theory. A questionnaire survey was conducted among 249 students of Liaoning University of Technology by using non-probabilistic convenient sampling. Data analysis was performed by employing partial least squares structural equation modeling. The results showed that (1) the research model explained 66% (

Abstract The Sepsis Coagulopathy Asahi Recombinant LE Thrombomodulin (SCARLET) trial has many defects, and thus cannot be the terminator of recombinant thrombomodulin (rTM). On the contrary, it provides sufficient evidence for further research. Based on analysis focusing on the failure of SCARLET and several previous anticoagulant studies, it is most important for new studies to grasp the following two points: (1) The enrolled cases should have sufficient disease severity and a clear standard for disseminated intravascular coagulation; (2) Heparin should not be used in combination with the investigated drugs. Multiple post-hoc analyses show that no combination of heparin will not increase the risk of thromboembolism. In fact, the combination of heparin can mask the true efficacy of the investigated drug. Due to the complexity of sepsis treatment and the limitations of clinical studies, the results of all treatment studies should be repeatedly verified, rather than be determined at one stroke. Some research conclusions contrary to disease physiology, pharmacology and clinical practice may be deceptive, and should be cautious rather than be simply accepted. On the other hand, the dissenting voices in the "consensus" scene are often well discussed by the authors and should be highly valued.

Abstract Carbon emissions from the refining industry are receiving increasing national attention. In view of long-term sustainable development, a carbon pricing mechanism oriented to carbon emission reduction needs to be developed. Currently, the two most common carbon pricing instruments are emission trading system and carbon tax. Therefore, it is important to study the carbon emission problems in the refining industry under emission trading system or carbon tax. Based on the current situation of China's refining industry, this paper constructs an evolutionary game model for backward and advanced refineries to explore which instrument is more effectively applied in the refining industry and identify the effective factors that can promote carbon emission reduction in refineries. According to the numerical results, if the heterogeneity of enterprises is small, the government's implementation of an emission trading system is the most effective measure, while carbon tax can only ensure that the equilibrium strategy solution is (1,1) when the tax rate is high. If the heterogeneity is large, the carbon tax policy will not have any effect, indicating that government implementation of an emission trading system is more effective than the carbon tax. In addition, there is a positive relationship between carbon price, carbon tax, and refineries' agreement to carbon emission reduction. Finally, consumers' preference for low-carbon products, R&D investment level, and R&D spillover effect have nothing to do with carbon emission reduction. Only by reducing refinery heterogeneity and improving the R&D efficiency of backward refineries can all enterprises agree to carbon emission reduction.

Abstract Inconsistent peak picking outcomes are a critical concern in processing liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS)-based untargeted metabolomics data. This work systematically studied the mechanisms behind the discrepancies among five commonly used peak picking algorithms, including CentWave in XCMS, linear-weighted moving average in MS-DIAL, automated data analysis pipeline (ADAP) in MZmine 2, Savitzky-Golay in El-MAVEN, and FeatureFinderMetabo in OpenMS. We first collected 10 public metabolomics datasets representing various LC-MS analytical conditions. We then incorporated several novel strategies to (i) acquire the optimal peak picking parameters of each algorithm for a fair comparison, (ii) automatically recognize false metabolic features with poor chromatographic peak shapes, and (iii) evaluate the real metabolic features that are missed by the algorithms. By applying these strategies, we compared the true, false, and undetected metabolic features in each data processing outcome. Our results show that linear-weighted moving average consistently outperforms the other peak picking algorithms. To facilitate a mechanistic understanding of the differences, we proposed six peak attributes: ideal slope, sharpness, peak height, mass deviation, peak width, and scan number. We also developed an R program to automatically measure these attributes for detected and undetected true metabolic features. From the results of the 10 datasets, we concluded that four peak attributes, including ideal slope, scan number, peak width, and mass deviation, are critical for the detectability of a peak. For instance, the focus on ideal slope critically hinders the extraction of true metabolic features with low ideal slope scores in linear-weighted moving average, Savitzky-Golay, and ADAP. The relationships between peak picking algorithms and peak attributes were also visualized in a principal component analysis biplot. Overall, the clear comparison and explanation of the differences between peak picking algorithms can lead to the design of better peak picking strategies in the future.

Abstract We investigated 14 antibiotic residues in 8 marketed freshwater fish species from southeast China and estimated the associated health risks to local consumers. The antibiotic residues were determined by UPLC-MS/MS. Our findings revealed widespread distribution of quinolones (QNs), tetracyclines (TCs), and chloramphenicols (CAPs) in the freshwater fish. Notably, the average concentrations of enrofloxacin and ciprofloxacin reached levels as high as 62.5 μg/kg wet weight (ww) and 11.7 μg/kg ww, respectively, and detection frequencies were 68.7% for enrofloxacin and 31.6% for ciprofloxacin. Additionally, we detected chloramphenicol, a prohibited antibiotic, in samples with a detection frequency of 0.76%. Among the fish species, the mean concentration of total antibiotic residues was highest in bluntnose black bream (263.3 μg/kg), followed by English perch (52.4 μg/kg), crucian carp (46.3 μg/kg), black carp (28.6 μg/kg), yellowcheek carp (21.0 μg/kg), grass carp (15.3 μg/kg), bighead carp (3.78 μg/kg), and mandarin fish (3.69 μg/kg). We estimated the daily intake values of these antibiotic residues which were lower than the acceptable daily intake values and hazard indexes were much less than 1. It indicates that there is very low direct health risk to consumers. Despite that, investigation on the chronic impact, such as antibiotic-resistant bacteria, gut microbiota disruption, and allergic reactions, is urgently needed.

Abstract Objective: To explore the efficacy and ocular indicator changes of evidence-based nursing in elderly patients with cataracts complicated with primary angle-closure glaucoma (PACG) after surgery.
Methods: 100 elderly cataract patients combined with PACG treated in the People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region between February 2019 and October 2020 were included in the study and equally assigned to a control group and an experimental group by random draw. The control group adopted conventional nursing, and the experimental group intervened with evidence-based nursing. A thorough analysis was conducted based on the comparison of nursing effectiveness, nursing satisfaction, complication rate at 1, 2, and 3 weeks after surgery, QLI (Quality of Life Index), PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index), SPEED (Standard Patient Evaluation of Eye Dryness), SEEQ (Salisbury Eye Evaluation Questionnaire), eyesight and intraocular pressure between two groups of patients.
Results: The evidence-based nursing was more effective in treating patients with senile cataracts and PACG after surgery compared with routine care (P = .002). The patients in the experimental group were more satisfied with evidence-based nursing than those in the other group (P < .001). The experimental group yielded a more desirable outcome than the control group in terms of the complication rate of patients of the two groups at 1 week, 2 weeks, and 3 weeks after surgery (P = .02, .003, < .001). In contrast to the group with routine care, the evidence-based nursing group obtained significantly higher scores of QLI (P < .001), but intensely lower results of PSQI (P < .001). Lower SPEED and SEEQ results of the experimental group were observed, as compared to the control group (P = .001, < .001). The patients in the experimental group enjoyed better eyesight and intraocular pressure after the evidence-based nursing in comparison with the control group (both P < .001). The group with evidence-based intervention garnered a more desirable result than the group with routine care about the complication rate at 1, 2, and 3 weeks after surgery, PSQI, SPEED, SEEQ and intraocular pressure.
Conclusion: Evidence-based nursing intervention reaped huge fruits in the improvement of the efficiency and quality of nursing work and also in the optimization of the ocular indicators of patients, which is highly applicable in clinical practice.
