Abstract Climate change has captured much attention, but it is just one part of a much larger set of massive and rapid global ecological changes. While the United Nations has taken to referring to the "triple planetary crisis" of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, even this does not capture the full extent of human impact upon the Earth-and thus upon human well-being. Canada's ecological footprint is equivalent to five planets worth of biocapacity, and healthcare's footprint is probably greater. So while health systems need to become low-carbon or net-zero, they need to go further. If healthcare is to stand by its ethical duty to do no harm, it must become a "One Planet" system. In addition to becoming a net-zero system, healthcare must reduce the consumption of material resources, the use of toxic substances, and production of all forms of waste, and protect and restore nature.

Abstract Health promotion has paid a lot of attention to the social determinants of health and to health equity but much less attention to the ecological determinants. Yet the most fundamental determinants of health are the natural systems that make the Earth liveable and are the source of our air, water, food, fuels and materials. Yet they are threatened by the very economic and social development that we have created to meet the social determinants of health. Moreover, the benefits and burdens of that development are inequitably distributed, resulting in both ecological and social injustice. In the past few years the new field of planetary health-'the health of human civilization and the state of the natural systems on which it depends'-has emerged, while WHO has confirmed that 'the source of human health [is] nature'. So arguably the most important task facing health promotion in the 21st century is to turn its attention to planetary health: health promotion workers must become planetary health promoters. Local health promotion in the 21st century needs to incorporate the concept of planetary health promotion and its application in the creation of healthy 'One Planet' communities and must become part of the emerging network of community organizations and individuals working to create sustainable, just and healthy communities.

Abstract This research was designed to explore the likelihood of rape myth interference with the university Title IX adjudication process of sexual assault reports. The purpose of the research was to determine what evidence a Title IX investigative panel needed to find an accused person responsible for a campus sexual assault. The research explores whether individuals, when assuming the responsibility of a Title IX investigator, incorporate common rape myths in their decision-making process. The research was conducted via mock Title IX hearing panels using written vignettes of two campus sexual assault cases. Volunteer participants were divided into small groups based on gender. Each group was given a short training session on Title IX investigation and hearing panel responsibility and procedure. The hearing panel discussions were audio recorded and transcribed for data collection. Each recording was coded for utterance of rape myth by individual. The data was analyzed for frequency of type of myth used by group and by individual. The results show that gender was not a significant predictor of use of rape myth. The research highlighted some procedural discrepancies and policy wording that is unclear, these issues could potentially keep a student from reporting an assault. This research also has potential to be useful in developing training for Title IX investigative personnel and developing or revising hearing panel policies.
