Abstract Background: Although the majority of German patients in a palliative state prefer to die at home, the actual place of death is most often a hospital. Unplanned hospital readmissions (UHA) not only contradict most patients' preferences but also increase the probability of an aggressive end-of-life treatment. As limited knowledge is available which factors contribute to an UHA, the PRePP-project aims to explore predictors related to informal caregivers (IC) as well as medical and structural factors.
Methods: This prospective, observational, mono-centric study will assess structural and medical factors as well as ICs' psychological burden throughout seven study visits. Starting in April 2021 it will consecutively include 240 patients and their respective IC if available. Standardized measures concerning ICs' Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF), psychological distress (NCCN-Distress Thermometer), anxiety (GAD-7) and depressiveness (PHQ-9) will be assessed. If participants prefer, assessment via phone, browser-based or paper-based will be conducted. Medical records will provide routinely assessed information concerning patient-related characteristics such as gender, age, duration of hospital stay and medical condition. Nurse-reported data will give information on whether hospitalization and death occurred unexpectedly. Data will be progressed pseudonymized. Multivariable regression models will help to identify predictors of the primary endpoint "unplanned hospital admissions".
Discussion: The PRePP-project is an important prerequisite for a clinical risk assessment of UHAs. Nevertheless, it faces several methodological challenges: as it is a single center study, representativity of results is limited while social desirability might be increased as the study is partly conducted by the treatment team. Furthermore, we anticipated an underrepresentation of highly burdened participants as they might refrain from participation.
Trial registration: This study was retrospectively registered 19 October 2021 at clinicaltrials.gov (NCT05082389). https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT05082389.

Abstract Screen recordings of mobile applications are easy to obtain and capture a wealth of information pertinent to software developers (e.g., bugs or feature requests), making them a popular mechanism for crowdsourced app feedback. Thus, these videos are becoming a common artifact that developers must manage. In light of unique mobile development constraints, including swift release cycles and rapidly evolving platforms, automated techniques for analyzing all types of rich software artifacts provide benefit to mobile developers. Unfortunately, automatically analyzing screen recordings presents serious challenges, due to their graphical nature, compared to other types of (textual) artifacts. To address these challenges, this paper introduces V2S+, an automated approach for translating video recordings of Android app usages into replayable scenarios. V2S+ is based primarily on computer vision techniques and adapts recent solutions for object detection and image classification to detect and classify user gestures captured in a video, and convert these into a replayable test scenario. Given that V2S+ takes a computer vision-based approach, it is applicable to both hybrid and native Android applications. We performed an extensive evaluation of V2S+ involving 243 videos depicting 4,028 GUI-based actions collected from users exercising features and reproducing bugs from a collection of over 90 popular native and hybrid Android apps. Our results illustrate that V2S+ can accurately replay scenarios from screen recordings, and is capable of reproducing $\approx$ 90.2% of sequential actions recorded in native application scenarios on physical devices, and $\approx$ 83% of sequential actions recorded in hybrid application scenarios on emulators, both with low overhead. A case study with three industrial partners illustrates the potential usefulness of V2S+ from the viewpoint of developers.

Abstract Preparation of derivatives of peptide antibiotics polymyxin B and colistin- substituted on free amino groups by aminoacyl residues is described. The first procedure is based on the condensation of the antibiotic with active ester of a suitably protected amino acid. The second one makes use of Woodward’s reagent by condensation of the antibiotic with a protected amino acid. The following compounds were prepared: glycyl-¹⁴C-polymyxin B and glutaminyl-polymyxin B and glycylcolistin, also under conditions suitable for a radioactive synthesis. All the preparations preserve a substantial part of the biological activity comparable with polymyxin B and colistin.

Abstract Screen recordings are becoming increasingly important as rich software artifacts that inform mobile application development processes. However, the amount of manual effort required to extract information from these graphical artifacts can hinder resource-constrained mobile developers. This paper presents Video2Scenario (V2S), an automated tool that processes video recordings of Android app usages, utilizes neural object detection and image classification techniques to classify the depicted user actions, and translates these actions into a replayable scenario. We conducted a comprehensive evaluation to demonstrate V2S's ability to reproduce recorded scenarios across a range of devices and a diverse set of usage cases and applications. The results indicate that, based on its performance with 175 videos depicting 3,534 GUI-based actions, V2S is accurate in reproducing $\approx$89\% of actions from collected videos.

Abstract As a result of technological progress ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) has created the so-called „digital divide“. Some people are unable to individually respond to this progress, but the proper use of ICT can help them overcome this handicap. One of the possibilities is to create accessible and usable applications depending on the character and level of disability. In accordance with the European CertiAgri project, e-learning tools are used for integrating people with disabilities into the horticultural area. The paper specifically describes examples of simple teaching aids from the practical „green care“ course, which focus on the skills of people with mental disabilities.
