    Abstract We investigate the detectability of gravitational waves that have been lensed by a spinless stellar-mass black hole, with respect to the advanced LIGO. By solving the full relativistic linear wave equations in the spacetime of a Schwarzschild black hole, we find that the strong gravity can create unique signals in the lensed waveform, particularly during the merger and ring-down stages. The differences in terms of fitting factor between the lensed waveform and best-fitted unlensed general relativity template with spin precession and higher-order multipoles are greater than 5% for the lens black hole mass within 70M_{⊙}<M_{lens}<133.33M_{⊙} under advanced LIGO's sensitivity. This is up to 5 times more detectable than the previous analysis based on the weak field approximation for a point mass and covers most part of the black hole mass gap predicted by stellar evolution theory. Based on Bayesian inference, the lensing feature can be distinguished with a signal-to-noise ratio of 12.5 for M_{lens}=70M_{⊙} and 19.2 for M_{lens}=250M_{⊙}, which is attainable for advanced LIGO.<br />

    Abstract Studying the interspecific relationships of exotic species can provide an important theoretical basis for revealing the invasion processes of exotic species, predicting the scope and harm of proliferation, and, subsequently, suggesting reasonable prevention and control measures. Buffalobur (Solanum rostratum Dunal.) is a typical alien invasive plant that causes significant harm in the oasis of the arid region of Xinjiang, being primarily distributed on both sides of the Toutun River and irrigated farmland. Parasitic dodders (Cuscuta australis R. Br.), in addition to phytophagous insects, such as potato beetles (Leptinotarsa decemlineata (Say)), and cotton bollworms (Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner)), that fed on the buffalobur plant were observed to be distributed in the field. In order to explore the impact of dodder parasitism and insect feeding on buffalobur invasion, buffalobur was selected as the main research material in this study. The effects of different degrees of parasitism (non-parasitism, mild parasitism, and severe parasitism), different stages of parasitism (non-parasitism, seedling parasitism, flowering parasitism, and fruit parasitism), and different levels of simulated insect feeding (non-parasitism, mild feeding, moderate feeding, and severe feeding) on the growth, development, and competitiveness of buffalobur were studied. The results showed that parasitism from dodders and feeding by phytophagous insects significantly reduced the biomass of buffalobur (p < 0.05), thus inhibiting its growth and development. In addition, the root–shoot ratio of the buffalobur was increased, which influenced its growth–defense strategy. At different degrees of parasitism from dodders and different degrees of feeding by phytophagous insects, the biomass of the buffalobur was decreased. However, parasitism from dodders at different stages reduced the biomass and competitive ability of buffalobur (p < 0.05).     Abstract Introduction: Recent cross-sectional research has demonstrated a substantial link between tuberculosis (TB) and gut microbiota. Nevertheless, the causal impact of the gut microbiota on TB susceptibility in humans remains unknown.
    Methods: The Mendelian randomization (MR) method was utilized for investigating the causality between them. The main method used for MR analysis was the inverse variance weighted (IVW) test, with the MR-Egger, weighted median, weighted mode, and simple median methods serving as supplements. And several sensitivity tests were carried out to validate the MR findings.
    Results: The IVW outcomes suggested that three bacterial traits exhibited associations with susceptibility to respiratory TB after Bonferroni correction, namely Lachnospiraceae UCG010 (odds ratio [OR] 1.73, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.17-2.55, P = 0.005), Eubacterium (brachy group) (OR 1.33, 95% CI 1.07-1.65, P = 0.009), and Ruminococcaceae UCG005 (OR 0.71, 95% CI 0.52-0.98, P = 0.034). Sensitivity analyses demonstrated that horizontal pleiotropy and heterogeneity were absent, thereby guaranteeing the reliability of the results.
    Conclusion: This research sheds light on the causal impact of gut microbiota on respiratory tuberculosis susceptibility, improving our knowledge of therapeutic strategies for managing TB.

    Abstract Mitophagy is related to chondrocyte homeostasis and plays a key role in the progress of osteoarthritis (OA). Baicalin has a protective effect on OA chondrocytes, the aim of this study was to explore whether the effect of Baicalin on IL-1β-induced chondrocyte injury is related to the regulation of mitophagy. The expression of collagen II in chondrocytes was detected to identify chondrocytes. The effects of different concentrations of Baicalin (10, 20 and 40 μM), autophagy inhibitor (3-Methyladenine), autophagy activator (rapamycin) and Baicalin combined with PI3K agonist (740Y-P) on the viability (cell counting kit 8), apoptosis (flow cytometry), autophagy activation (Monodansylcadaverine staining) and mitochondrial membrane potential (JC-1 kit) of IL-1β-induced chondrocytes were evaluated. The co-localization of autophagosome and mitochondria was determined by immunofluorescence. Apoptosis-, autophagy-, PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway- and mitophagy-related proteins were detected by western blot. Our result revealed that Baicalin and rapamycin facilitated cell viability, autophagy and mitophagy, elevated mitochondrial membrane potential and suppressed apoptosis of IL-1β-induced rat chondrocytes. In addition, Baicalin and rapamycin upregulated the levels of Bcl-2, Beclin 1, LC3-II/LC3-I, p-Drp1, PINK1 and Parkin as well as downregulated the levels of Bax, cleaved caspase-3, P62, p-PI3K/PI3K, p-mTOR/mTOR and Drp1 in IL-1β-induced rat chondrocytes. However, 3-Methyladenine did the opposite effects of Baicalin and 740Y-P reversed the effects of Baicalin on IL-1β-induced rat chondrocytes. In conclusion, Baicalin activated mitophagy in IL-1β-induced chondrocytes by inhibiting PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway and activating PINK1/Parkin and PINK1/Drp-1 pathway, thereby reducing the chondrocyte injury.

    Abstract Background: Large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) with interferon regulatory factor 4 (IRF4) rearrangement (LBCL-IRF4) is a rare subtype of LBCL, with a high prevalence in Waldeyer's ring as well as the neck, head and gastrointestinal lymph nodes.
    Materials and methods: A patient with 2-month clinical symptoms of nasal obstruction and facial swelling was reported in this short review. A nasal endoscopy examination revealed a neoplasm in the inferior nasal meatus. Both CT and enhanced MRI showed that a soft tissue occupied the nasolacrimal duct, with bone destruction, and extended into the left nasal cavity and left lacrimal gland area. Then, a biopsy of the neoplasm in the inferior nasal meatus was performed.
    Results: HE staining results showed that neoplastic cells presented diffuse growth patterns, abundant cytoplasm, vacuole shape, lightly stained nuclei, and irregular nuclear membrane. Immunohistochemistry staining results revealed MUM1(+), Bcl6(+), CD20(+), CD79α(+), and CD10(+). FISH analyses detected positive IRF4 rearrangement. LBCL-IRF4 was diagnosed in the patient. The patient received treatment with four cycles of R-CHOP and two times of rituximab, followed up for 2 years, and finally got complete remission.
    Conclusion: For the first time, we summarize the imaging and pathological features, drug treatment, and curative effect of LBCL-IRF4 in the nasolacrimal duct.

    Abstract As drug delivery devices, microneedles are used widely in the local administration of various drugs. Such drug-loaded microneedles are minimally invasive, almost painless, and have high drug delivery efficiency. In recent decades, with advancements in microneedle technology, an increasing number of adaptive, engineered, and intelligent microneedles have been designed to meet increasing clinical needs. This article summarizes the types, preparation materials, and preparation methods of microneedles, as well as the latest research progress in the application of microneedles in tumor drug delivery. This article also discusses the current challenges and improvement strategies in the use of microneedles for tumor drug delivery.

    Abstract Oncolytic Newcastle disease virus is a new type of cancer immunotherapy drug. This paper proposes a scheme for delivering oncolytic viruses using hydrogel microneedles. Gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) was synthesized by chemical grafting, and GelMA microneedles encapsulating oncolytic Newcastle disease virus (NDV) were prepared by micro-molding and photocrosslinking. The release and expression of NDV were tested by immunofluorescence and hemagglutination experiments. The experiments proved that GelMA was successfully synthesized and had hydrogel characteristics. NDV was evenly dispersed in the allantoic fluid without agglomeration, showing a characteristic virus morphology. NDV particle size was 257.4 ± 1.4 nm, zeta potential was -13.8 ± 0.5 mV, virus titer TCID50 was 10

    Abstract Tumor growth and metastasis require neovascularization, which is dependent on a complex array of factors, such as the production of various pro-angiogenic factors by tumor cells, intercellular signaling, and stromal remodeling. The hypoxic, acidic tumor microenvironment is not only conducive to tumor cell proliferation, but also disrupts the equilibrium of angiogenic factors, leading to vascular heterogeneity, which further promotes tumor development and metastasis. Anti-angiogenic strategies to inhibit tumor angiogenesis has, therefore, become an important focus for anti-tumor therapy. The traditional approach involves the use of anti-angiogenic drugs to inhibit tumor neovascularization by targeting upstream and downstream angiogenesis-related pathways or pro-angiogenic factors, thereby inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis. This review explores the mechanisms involved in tumor angiogenesis and summarizes currently used anti-angiogenic drugs, including monoclonal antibody, and small-molecule inhibitors, as well as the progress and challenges associated with their use in anti-tumor therapy. It also outlines the opportunities and challenges of treating tumors using more advanced anti-angiogenic strategies, such as immunotherapy and nanomaterials.
