    Abstract In this study, the stochastic energy management, and scheduling of a renewable microgrid involving energy sources and dynamic storage is performed considering energy resource and demand uncertainties and demand response (DR) using the two-point estimation method (2 m + 1 PEM). The three-dimensional objective function is defined as maximizing the renewable hosting capacity and minimizing the operation cost, and emission cost minimization. The decision variables include installation location and size of the renewable resources and mobile energy storage system (MESS), determined using a multi-objective enhanced grey wolf optimizer (MOEGWO) improved based on the logistic chaotic mapping integrated with fuzzy decision-making approach. The simulations are implemented for several cases of employing MESS, DR, and uncertainties to investigate the proposed approach's efficacy. The MOEGWO performance is confirmed to solve the ZDT and CEC'09 functions according to some well-known algorithms. Then, the performance of the MOEGWO is evaluated on the stochastic energy management and scheduling of the renewable microgrid. The results indicate that considering the dynamic MESS causes reducing the operation and emission costs by 23.34% and 34.78%, respectively, and increasing the renewable hosting capacity by 7.62% in contrast to using the static MESS. Also, the stochastic problem-solving considering uncertainties showed that operation and emission costs are raised, the renewable hosting capacity is decreased, and the uncertainty impact is reduced in the condition of DR application. So, the results validated the proposed methodology's effectiveness for minimizing the operation and emission costs and maximizing the renewable hosting capacity. Moreover, the superior capability of the MOEGWO is confirmed in comparison with the multi-objective particle swarm optimization to obtain lower operation and emission costs and higher renewable hosting capacity.

    Abstract Numerous factors have been involved in exercise-induced acute kidney injury (EIAKI), such as using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs following exercise and idiopathic renal hypouricemia (IRHUC). IRHUC is an autosomal recessive inherited disorder characterized by impaired tubular uric acid transfer, impaired reabsorption, and accelerated uric acid secretion. Some IRHUC patients have been shown to have EIAKI. A 27-year-old police officer was admitted to the hospital due to anorexia and a serum creatinine level of 18 mg/dL, after a "tug-ofwar" game. After one dialysis sessions per day over five days, his creatinine dropped to 1.3 mg/dL. Six months later, he developed bilateral flank pain and red discoloration of urine, following a 300-meter chase of a convict, and his creatinine level increased to 2.3 mg/dL, which was corrected with proper hydration alone. Recurrent acute kidney injury can be due to hereditary renal hypouricemia, which should be considered among differential diagnoses for patients.  DOI: 10.52547/ijkd.6992.

    Abstract Heat stress and growing demand for dairy products in tropical regions exert metabolic pressure on dairy cows, leading to metabolic diseases and economic losses. Resveratrol (RSV) is known for its numerous beneficial health effects and can be used as a barrier against metabolic abnormalities and prevent economic losses. Several studies have investigated the effects of RSV in humans and various animal species. In this review, we attempted to investigate the effects of RSV from different aspects so that we could have a practical proposal for its utilization in dairy cows. RSV was found to have potential antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-obesity, and antimicrobial effects, leading to improved reproductive performance. It is interesting that the effect of RSV on the microbial population leads to a significant decrease in methane emissions. However, high doses of RSV have been associated with possible adverse effects, underscoring the dose dependence of its efficacy. In conclusion, RSV polyphenol at optimal doses is a promising agent for the prevention and treatment of metabolic abnormalities in dairy cows, based on our literature review and study results.

    Abstract Background: Thyroid cancer (TC) is the predominant malignancy within the endocrine system. However, the standard method for TC diagnosis lacks the capability to identify the pathological condition of all thyroid lesions. The metabolomics approach has the potential to manage this problem by identifying differential metabolites.
    Aims: This study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of the NMR-based metabolomics studies in order to identify significant altered metabolites associated with TC.
    Methods: A systematic search of published literature in any language in three databases including Embase, PubMed, and Scopus was conducted. Out of 353 primary articles, 12 studies met the criteria for inclusion in the systematic review. Among these, five reports belonging to three articles were eligible for meta-analysis. The correlation coefficient of the orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis, a popular model in the multivariate statistical analysis of metabolomic data, was chosen for meta-analysis. The altered metabolites were chosen based on the fact that they had been found in at least three studies.
    Results: In total, 49 compounds were identified, 40 of which were metabolites. The increased metabolites in thyroid lesions compared normal samples included lactate, taurine, alanine, glutamic acid, glutamine, leucine, lysine, phenylalanine, serine, tyrosine, valine, choline, glycine, and isoleucine. Lipids were the decreased compounds in thyroid lesions. Lactate and alanine were increased in malignant versus benign thyroid lesions, while, myo-inositol, scyllo-inositol, citrate, choline, and phosphocholine were found to be decreased. The meta-analysis yielded significant results for three metabolites of lactate, alanine, and citrate in malignant versus benign specimens.
    Discussion: In this study, we provided a concise summary of 12 included metabolomic studies, making it easier for future researchers to compare their results with the prior findings.
    Conclusion: It appears that the field of TC metabolomics will experience notable advancement, leading to the discovery of trustworthy diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers.

    Abstract Background: Cardiovascular disorders (CVDs) are the leading cause of death worldwide. This study aimed to evaluate the association between low-density lipoprotein (LDL) subfractions and cardiovascular disorders.
    Methods: To ensure the rigor of the systematic review, the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were used. For this systematic review, a comprehensive search strategy was performed in important databases including PubMed, Scopus, Embase, International Statistical Institute (ISI) Web of Science, and google scholar from 2009 to February 2021. The following terms were used for systematic search: low-density lipoprotein, LDL, subfractions, subclasses, nuclear magnetic resonance, NMR, chromatography, high-pressure liquid, HPLC, cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular, and peripheral vascular disease. Also, for evaluating the risk of bias, the Newcastle-Ottawa scale was employed.
    Results: At the end of the search process, 33 articles were included in this study. The results of most of the evaluated studies revealed that a higher LDL particle number was consistently associated with increased risk for cardiovascular disease, independent of other lipid measurements. Also, small dense LDL was associated with an increased risk of CVDs. There was no association between LDL subfraction and CVDs in a small number of studies.
    Conclusions: Overall, it seems that the evaluation of LDL subclasses can be used as a very suitable biomarker for the assessment and diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. However, further studies are required to identify the mechanisms involved.
