    Abstract Objective: To investigate the correlation between the peak pressure of contrast agent injection and tubal patency during real-time three-dimensional hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography. Methods: Seventy female patients who underwent real-time three-dimensional hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography of uterine and oviduct in the department of ultrasound medicine in our hospital were selected to measure the peak pressure in the examination process through the pressure injection device of contrast agent, to compare the pressure differences of different obturability patency degree of oviduct, and to draw a ROC curve to determine the optimal cut-off value of the peak pressure. Results: According to the different patency degree of fallopian tubes, the contrast results were divided into three groups: bilateral tubes unobstructed group, unilateral tube lesioned group and bilateral tubes lesioned group. The peak pressures of the three groups were (34.69±9.30) KPa, (52.71±18.55) KPa and (73.88±11.01) KPa, respectively. The area under the peak pressure ROC curve (AUC) of the "unilateral tube lesioned group" and "bilateral tubes lesioned group" was 0.785, the optimal cut-off value of the peak pressure was 51.90KPa, the area under the peak pressure ROC curve (AUC) of the "unilateral tube lesioned group" and "bilateral tubes lesioned group" was 0.851, and the optimal cut-off value of the peak pressure was 73.50KPa. Conclusion: The peak pressure of contrast agent injection in RT-3D-HyCoSy can be used as a quantitative index to deduce the patency degree of oviduct. There is a correlation between the peak pressure and the tubal patency.

    Abstract RTObjective: To explore the value and feasibility of real-time three-dimensional echocardiography(RT-3DE) in evaluating left ventricular function in patients with different degrees of heart failure. Methods: The 60 heart failure patients in the case group were divided into three subgroups according to the New York Heart Association (NYHA) classification: 12 cases of cardiac function grade II, 35 cases of cardiac function grade III, 13 cases of cardiac function grade IV, and the other 30 cases of healthy subjects as control group. Compare the left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV), left ventricular end-systolic volume(LVESV), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), and left ventricular 16, 12, and 6 segments reaching the minimum systolic volume time standard deviation standardized value (Tmsv SD%), left ventricular 16, 12 and 6 segments reaching the minimum systolic volume time standardized values of the maximum difference(Tmsv DIF%),analysis of the correlation between the above left ventricular function-related parameters and cardiac function grading. Results: (1)There were statistically significant differences in LVEDV and LVESV between each group(p<0.001). There was no statistically significant difference in LVEF between the cardiac function grade II group and the control group,and between the grade IV group and the grade III group(p=0.094 and 0.246). (2) compared with the control group,all parameters related to RT-3DE evaluation of left ventricular synchronization were prolonged in the case group, and the difference was statistically significant(p<0.001). The differences of Tmsv 16-SD% and Tmsv 16-DIF% in each subgroup of the case group were statistically significant(p<0.001). (3)LVEF was negatively correlated with NYHA classification of cardiac function(rs=-0.779, p<0.001), and LVEDV, LVESV, Tmsv 16-SD%, Tmsv 12-SD%, Tmsv 6-SD%, Tmsv 16-DIF%, Tmsv 12- DIF%, Tmsv 6-DIF% were positively correlated with NYHA function classification,showing strong correlation(rs=0.710, 0.785, 0.885, 0.675, ...

    Abstract Introduction Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a progressive inflammatory autoimmune disease characterised by chronic systemic inflammation, which can cause swelling, stiffening and destruction of articular cartilage and bone. Early diagnosis and treatment of RA can improve outcomes and slow the progression of joint damage. Preliminary exploratory research had hinted an expected effect of modified Zhiwang decoction (MZWD) in treating early RA. However, few randomised clinical trials have evaluated the effectiveness of MZWD in early RA. Therefore, a parallel-group randomised controlled trial was designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of MZWD combined with methotrexate (MTX) on early RA.Methods and analysis This is a prospective, parallel-group, single-centre randomised controlled clinical study. A total of 150 patients will be randomly assigned to either the treatment (n=75) or control group (n=75). The treatment group will receive MZWD and MTX, and the control group will receive MTX for 12 weeks. The primary outcome of this study is Disease Activity Score-28, and the secondary outcomes are Fatigue Scale-14, Visual Analogue Scale pain scores and traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores. Safety outcomes, including adverse events and results of ECG and laboratory tests, will be monitored.Ethics and dissemination Ethics approval was obtained from the Clinical Research Ethics Committee of the China-Japan Friendship Hospital (no. 2022-KY-124) on 8 July 2022. The findings will be disseminated in peer-reviewed publications.Trial registration number ClinicalTrials.gov Registry (NCT05508815).

    Abstract Background. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are powerful factors in regulating various cancer behaviors. It has been manifested in previous researches that circular RNA hsa_circ_0005909 (circ_0005909) exhibits a regulatory function in osteosarcoma. However, there are no other studies on whether circ_0005909 displays potential functions on the progression of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods. RT-PCR was applied to examine the expression of circ_0005909 in NSCLC. To study the specific behaviors of NSCLC cells after circ_0005909 knockdown, cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assays, colony formation assays, Transwell assays, and xenograft tumor model assays were conducted. Bioinformatics and luciferase reporter assays were employed to study the association among circ_0005909, miRNA-338-3p, and SOX4. Results. In this research, our group firstly showed that circ_0005909 expressions were distinctly increased in NSCLC specimens and cell lines. Clinical studies revealed that high circ_0005909 expressions were associated with poor prognosis of NSCLC patients. Functionally, knockdown of circ_0005909 was observed to suppress the proliferation, metastasis, and drug resistance of NSCLC cells. In the terms of mechanism, circ_0005909 could act as a sponge of miRNA-338-3p, and miRNA-338-3p could target SOX4. In addition, miRNA-338-3p inhibitors reversed the suppressor ability of circ_0005909 silence on NSCLC behaviors. Conclusions. circ_0005909 promoted the progression of NSCLC via the modulation of the miRNA-338-3p/SOX4 axis, which may be a therapeutic target for NSCLC.

    Abstract The rice–crayfish farming model has been rapidly developed and become an economically viable method to supply food in China in recent years. However, its environmental and economic sustainability has not been thoroughly investigated. This study uses a survey in 2016 and a field experiment in 2017 in Qianjiang, Hubei Province, China to assess the relative economics of concurrent rice–wheat (RW), rice–crayfish (RC), and crayfish monoculture (CM) models in waterlogged land areas. The field survey indicated that the RC model had a higher benefit–cost ratio (3.5:1) than the RW (2.0:1) and CM (3.1:1) models and the RC model protected farmers’ enthusiasm for grain production facing unfavourable weather conditions. The field experiment aimed to explore nitrogen management strategies in RC fields. In the experiment, four levels of nitrogen concentration gradient - 0 kg N ha−1 (0 N), 75 kg N ha−1 (75 N), 150 kg N ha−1 (150 N) and 225 kg N ha−1 (225 N), were set in a 2-year-old rice–crayfish (RC2) field, an 8-year-old rice–crayfish (RC8) field, and a RW field as a control. The field experiment results suggested that the peak rice yield in RW, RC2, and RC8 occurred when 225 N, 150 N and 75 N were used, respectively. In RC2 and RC8, however, residual feed-nitrogen that was not used by crayfish was utilized by rice plants. Thus, an optimal amount of nitrogen in RC fields was proposed to improve the nitrogen use efficiency and reduce environmental pollution by nitrogen fertilizer. Farmers use less nitrogen but have higher net income in RC than in RW and CM. It is necessary to sustainably develop integrated farming technologies (i.e., proper field configurations for rice fields) to effectively sustain rice production. The results also showed that the RC farming model was a viable diversification option for rice farmers in waterlogged land.

    Abstract Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, progressive inflammatory and systemic autoimmune disease resulting in severe joint destruction, lifelong suffering and considerable disability. Diverse prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) containing Epimedii Herba (EH) achieve greatly curative effects against RA. The present review aims to systemically summarize the therapeutic effect, pharmacological mechanism, bioavailability and safety assessment of EH to provide a novel insight for subsequent studies. The search terms included were “Epimedii Herba”, “yinyanghuo”, “arthritis, rheumatoid” and “Rheumatoid Arthritis”, and relevant literatures were collected on the database such as Google Scholar, Pubmed, Web of Science and CNKI. In this review, 15 compounds from EH for the treatment of RA were summarized from the aspects of anti-inflammatory, immunoregulatory, cartilage and bone protective, antiangiogenic and antioxidant activities. Although EH has been frequently used to treat RA in clinical practice, studies on mechanisms of these activities are still scarce. Various compounds of EH have the multifunctional traits in the treatment of RA, so EH may be a great complementary medicine option and it is necessary to pay more attention to further research and development.

    Abstract Stretchable nano-fibers have attracted dramatic attention for the utility in wearable and flexible electronics. In the present case, Ag nanowires (AgNWs)-intertwined thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) unwoven nano-membrane is fabricated by an electrospinning method and dip coating technique. Then a strain sensor with a spring-like configuration is fabricated by a twisted method. The sensor exhibits superior electrical conductivity up to 3990 S·cm −1 due to the high weight percentage of the Ag nanowires. Additionally, thanks to the free-standing spring-like configuration that consists of uniform neat loops, the strain sensor can detect a superior strain up to 900% at the point the sensor ruptures. On the other hand, the configuration can mostly protect the AgNWs from falling off. Furthermore, major human motion detection, like movement of a human forefinger, and minor human motion detection, such as a wrist pulse, show the possible application of the sensor in the field of flexible electronics.

    Abstract Objective: The objective is to study the mechanism of Qingre Huoxue prescription in the intervention and treatment of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) based on the method of network pharmacology. Materials and Methods: Five databases were used to screen the chemical compounds and targets of Ligusticum wallichii (chuanxiong), Radix Paeoniae Rubra (chishao), Lignum acronychiae (jiangxiang), Safflower (honghua), Salvia miltiorrhiza (danshen), Scutellaria baicalensis (huangqin), and Ilex pubescens (mao dong qing) in Qingre Huoxue prescription. Furthermore, Cytoscape-V3.2.1 software was used to construct the drug-component-target network. Functional protein association networks' database and the Database for Annotation, Visualization, and Integrated Discovery (DAVID) were used to visualize the protein interaction, pathway enrichment, and analysis. Results: A total of 44 active ingredients were screened out in Qingre Huoxue prescription. Among them, 178 targets and 41 compounds related to Qingre Huoxue prescription's function in treating AMI were obtained. After the analysis of the drug-component-action target network on Qingre Huoxue prescription, 14 key compounds and nine key targets with three scores above average were obtained. In addition, pathway enrichment and biological processes were conducted with the aid of the DAVID; and 8 related pathways and 10 biological processes were associated with AMI and related diseases; the PI3K-AKT signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, and HIF-1 signaling pathway are the main pathways of Qingre Huoxue prescription for the treatment of AMI and related diseases. Conclusion: Qingre Huoxue prescription could treat AMI by multiple components, targets, and pathways. This study provides ideas and theoretical basis for further clinical studies on Qingre Huoxue prescription in treating AMI.
