Abstract The purpose of the present research is to study approaches to the formation of an interactive learning environment for the effective study of music in Chinese primary and secondary schools. Initially, the study defined that most students had mastered the average level of knowledge before the intervention. The programs for secondary school students focused on studying the aspects of musical notation and the ability to identify it (27%). The present study involved the development of a modified curriculum. The elaborated program contained various interactive technologies, playfully studying the information, and direct interaction from the students. This study builds on an empirical approach through a sociological survey. This method contributed to determining the student perception of the modified training program. The results showed that 88% of primary school students and 86% of secondary school students had a positive perception of the educational process provided by the authors of this research.

Abstract Rapid urban expansion reflects the increasing economic growth in China. As an original conceive for urban sustainability, economic growth contributes to vegetation changes. However, the spatiotemporal heterogeneity of the relationships between these two factors remains unclear in China. After analyzing the spatiotemporal characteristics of the urban expansion in different cities in China from 2002 to 2020, we found a rapid and continuous urban expansion in China, with the mean annual expansion of 1710.96 km2 year−1 (p < 0.01). However, based on the trends of annual maximum enhanced vegetation index (EVImax) and the nighttime light (NTL), a strong incoordination status (areas with significant increasing NTL (p < 0.05) but significantly decreasing EVImax) between urban greenness and economic growthwas found during this rapid urban expansion period. Spatially, >60% of cities showed incoordination status and 38.08% of cities showed strongly incoordination status. At pixels levels, these strong incoordination status in urban areas can be fully explained by long-term average NTL digital Number (DN) gradient.Based on a piecewise linear regression model, the proportion of areas with the strong incoordination status was significantly increased by the 1.07% DN−1 (p < 0.01) when multi-year average NTL value is <50, but decreased strongly afterward, with the slope of −2.96% DN−1 (p < 0.01). The strong incoordination between urban greenness and economy can be rapidly mitigated with the rapid economic growth. This threshold can be a critical indicator for decision-makers in identifying and analyzing the status of ecological civilization in various regions of China.

Abstract In order to overcome the time-consuming computational drawback of using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for the numerical simulation of aircraft wake vortex evolution under different crosswind velocities, this paper proposes a wake vortex prediction model based on a convolutional neural network (CNN) algorithm. The study focuses on the B737-800 aircraft, and employs CFD numerical simulations to obtain the evolutionary characteristics of wake vortex parameters under crosswind velocities ranging from 0 to 7 m/s. The wake vortex velocity and Q-criterion vorticity values are collected and partitioned into mutually exclusive training and testing datasets. A CNN model is constructed, and the training dataset is used to tune hyperparameters to minimize loss and achieve accurate predictions. After saving the trained model, the desired crosswind velocity value is input to obtain the predicted wake vortex velocity and Q-criterion vorticity values. The results indicate that the convolutional neural network model exhibits an average absolute percentage error of 1.5%, which is 2.3% lower than that of the fully connected neural network model. This suggests that convolutional neural networks can enhance the accuracy of wake vortex predictions, as demonstrated in this study. Compared to traditional CFD methods, the proposed model reduces the computation time by approximately 40 times, effectively improving computational efficiency and offering valuable insight for studies involving numerous numerical simulations, such as analyzing the safety separation between aircraft wake vortices during paired approach procedures.

Abstract Decoupling carbon emissions from economic growth is the key for the sustainable development of developing countries. Based on the panel data of marine aquaculture in China from 2010 to 2019, this paper employs the Tapio decoupling index model to analyze the decoupling characteristics of net carbon emissions and the economic growth of marine aquaculture. The logarithmic average weight decomposition method (LMDI model) and Tapio decoupling effort index model are also introduced to explore the contribution of various areas, provinces, and factors to the decoupling of net carbon emissions and the economic growth of marine aquaculture. Empirical results show that: (1) Net carbon emissions have a decoupling trend from the economic growth of marine aquaculture, but there is a large regional difference. (2) Regarding the degree of decoupling efforts, it is much stronger in the eastern and southern ocean economic zones than that in the northern ocean economic zone. (3) In terms of the decoupling contributions of various factors, carbon emission intensity > aquaculture scale > aquaculture efficiency > aquaculture structure, but there is heterogeneity among the different regions. Among the reasons for the inter-regional differences, carbon emission intensity > aquaculture scale > aquaculture structure > aquaculture efficiency. A further redundancy efficiency analysis explains the source of the differences. On this basis, strategies are proposed to improve the efficiency of marine aquaculture, including the construction of a modern three-dimensional aquaculture system, the improvement of the market-oriented mechanism, and the establishment of a modern marine aquaculture economic system.

Abstract High entropy perovskites bring more space for materials design in many fields. The stability of materials in thermodynamics can be improved by increasing the mixed entropy. In this work, a series of Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (BSCF) based high entropy perovskite (HEBSCF) were designed to improve the stability of BSCF at intermediate temperatures. The influence of high entropy composition on the lattice parameter, microstructure and stability of HEBSCF were investigated. The results show that HEBSCF can accommodate cations with large size differences. Compared with BSCF, doping elements at A site (HEBSCF-A), B site (HEBSCF-B) or both sites (HEBSCF-AB) can improve the mixed entropy. Among the three doped BSCF, HEBSCF-AB has the highest mixed entropy and shows stable oxygen permeation flux at 750 and 800 °C up to 300 h. No phase transition was observed on HEBSCF-AB after the long-term tests at intermediate temperatures. This research indicates that the high entropy stabilization strategy is feasible to improve the permeation stability of perovskite membranes by inhibiting phase transition.

Abstract Based on the panel data of 250 prefecture-level cities from 2006 to 2019, we adopted the idea and method of a “quasi-natural experiment” with difference-in-difference to assess the industrial-structure-upgrading effect of FTZ construction, analyze the factors and mechanisms influencing the effect, and further compare and analyze the regional heterogeneity and differences in spatial and temporal characteristics. We also propose policy recommendations to promote the orderly development of the FTZ. Empirical results show that, (i) compared with non-FTZ cities, the level of rationalization for industrial structures in FTZ cities increased by 9.69%, and the level of the advanced industrial structures increased by 7.01%. (ii) The innovation effect and the foreign investment effect enhance the effect of FTZ policy on industrial structure upgrading. (iii) Heterogeneity analysis found that the eastern and central FTZ have more significant roles in promoting industrial structure upgrading. (iv) Further spatial and temporal comparison analysis found that the promotion effect of the FTZ on industrial upgrading is temporally sustainable but with a certain lag. From the spatial perspective, the FTZ inhibits the level of advanced industrial structure in neighboring cities.

Abstract Abstract Recent developments in 3D-printing technology have provided a time-efficient and inexpensive alternative to the fabrication of microfluidic devices. At present, 3D-printed microfluidic systems face the challenges of post-processing, non-transparency, and being time consuming, limiting their practical application. In this study, a time-efficient and inexpensive fabrication method was developed for 3D-printed microfluidic devices. The material for 3D-printed microfluidic chips is Dowsil 732, which is used as a sealant or encapsulant in various industries. The curing time and surface hydrophobicity of the materials were evaluated. The results indicated that the surface of Dowsil 732 is hydrophilic. An optimization model of the direct ink writing method is proposed to establish a time-efficient and accurate fabrication method for microfluidic devices. The results indicate that the optimization model can effectively describe the change trend between printing speed, printing pressure, and channel wall accuracy, and the model accuracy rate exceeds 95%. Three examples—a micromixer, concentration gradient generator, and droplet generator—were printed to demonstrate the functionality and feasibility of the fabrication method.

Abstract An accurate grasp of the high-quality development of the marine economy is important for the timely adjustment of marine policies and the promotion of sustainable development of the ocean. Based on the latest development philosophy, this paper constructed the evaluation index system of high-quality development of marine economy from five dimensions including innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing. The particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and support vector machine (SVM) model based on the entropy weight composite index were employed to evaluate the high-quality development of China’s marine economy from 2006 to 2017. The spatial and temporal distribution characteristics and dynamic evolution mechanism were revealed. The random forest model was applied to analyze the main driving factors of high-quality development of the marine economy. It was found that: (1) The high-quality development level of marine economy in Guangdong, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai has always been in the forefront. The growth rate of high-quality development level of marine economy in Guangdong and Shandong was 53.69% and 37.69%, respectively. The growth rates of Fujian and Hainan were 43.46% and 33.68%, respectively. Jiangsu and Zhejiang accounted for 33.30% and 24.47%, respectively. (2) The regulation methods of the main driving factors were examined. It was necessary to adhere to innovative development and improve the marine scientific research, education, management, and service industry, in addition by optimizing and adjusting the marine industrial infrastructure and spatial layout. It is also critical to strengthen the comprehensive prevention and control of land and sea pollution and implement the total emission control of pollutants into the sea. (3) Finally, the pathway for high-quality development of marine economy was analyzed and future directions were proposed.
