Abstract A low cost imine-decorated linker, 4,4'-(hydrazine-1,2-diylidenedimethylylidene)dibenzoic acid was utilized for the preparation of copper-based metal-organic framework (MOF) denoted as Cu-L via a solvothermal technique. The synthesized MOF material has been fully characterized by different analytical techniques such as Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, powder X-Ray diffraction (PXRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-Ray spectroscopy (EDX), nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherm analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). It has been found that the coordination of Cu

Abstract Objective: Menopausal transition among midlife women is accompanied by the issues of hot flushes, mood swings as well as sleep disturbances, night sweats, urogenital diminution and cognitive changes. The present cross-sectional study is an attempt to recognize the cognitive differences associated with various stages of reproductive aging.
Methods: The study included women (
Results: The results of the present study exhibited a decline in cognitive scores across successive menopausal transitional stages in most of the cognitive domains except registration. The results of multivariate regression analysis demonstrated that illiteracy, vegetarian diet, perimenopause and late postmenopause phase were significantly associated with lower global cognitive scores.
Conclusion: With increased longevity, early identification of potential risk factors associated with cognitive decline among women during their midlife can be beneficial in improving the mental health of postmenopausal women.

Abstract The present cross-sectional study is an attempt to evaluate menopausal symptoms with changing hormone milieus among women of different menopausal transitional stages. Out of all the symptoms, sexual dysfunction was the most commonly occurring symptom. Results of the correspondence analysis exhibited a significant association of symptoms like 'feeling unhappy', 'feeling dizzy', 'parts of body feeling numb' and 'muscle & joint pain' with late postmenopausal stage. Therefore, the assessment of menopausal health of women in rural settings of developing countries like India is of considerable significance for promoting their post reproductive health as well as for enhancing their quality of life.

Abstract Objective: Menopause is a natural phenomenon among women during their midlife, which is accompanied by unfavorable physical, physiological, and psychological consequences. Therefore, the major aim of the present cross-sectional study was to examine whether the cognitive performance of women is sensitive to the severity of menopausal symptoms.
Methods: A total number of 404 rural women aged between 40 and 65 years were included in the present study. The menopausal symptoms and cognitive performance of the women were assessed using the Greene Climacteric Scale and Hindi Mini-Mental State Examination scale respectively.
Results: The results of the present study demonstrated that women experiencing severe menopausal symptoms (higher Total Greene climacteric score) presented significantly lower mean values for orientation (8.11 vs 8.90, P < 0.001), registration (2.77 vs 2.91, P < 0.001), attention (4.31 vs 4.48, P < 0.01), recall (2.26 vs 2.53, P < 0.05), and language/visuo-spatial skills (7.13 vs 7.91, P < 0.001) as compared with their counterparts with mild menopausal symptoms. The multivariate linear regression model (after adjustment for age, marital status, and educational status) recorded severe depression and greater sexual dysfunction as the factors significantly associated with lower Mini-Mental State Examination scores.
Conclusion: Hence, the findings of the present study indicated that the cognitive performance of women was sensitive to severe depression and sexual dysfunction.

Abstract The complement is a crucial factor of the innate immune system. However, its activation can lead to various diseases, so it needs to be controlled. In mammals, surface-bound complement regulatory proteins safeguard cells from uncontrolled complement-mediated lysis. One of the human complement regulators is CD55, also known as the decay-accelerating factor (DAF), a single-chain, type I cell surface protein anchored to glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI). The genetic loss of the complement regulatory protein CD55 leads to a fatal illness known as CHAPLE disease. The complement and innate immunity become hyperactive in this disease, causing angiopathic thrombosis and protein-losing enteropathy. Patients with CHAPLE disease experience abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, weight loss, impaired growth, and swelling. This genetic condition has no known cure, and managing its symptoms can be challenging. Pozelimab, a human monoclonal immunoglobulin IgG4 antibody, is a drug that targets the terminal complement protein C5. The drug has a high affinity for both wild-type and variant human C5. Pozelimab has received designations such as fast track, orphan drug, and rare pediatric disease, making it a significant medical breakthrough. It is currently the only available treatment for this disease. In this review, we have summarized the preclinical and clinical data on pozelimab.

Abstract Background: Obesity is one of the critical public health problems in our society. It leads to various health conditions, such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. With the rising incidence of obesity, there is a growing demand for new therapies which can effectively manage body weight and improve health.
Current evidence: Currently under development, multi-receptor agonist drugs may offer a promising solution to meet this unmet medical need. Retatrutide is a novel triple receptor agonist peptide that targets the glucagon receptor (GCGR), glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR), and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R). This novel drug has the potential to treat metabolic abnormalities associated with obesity as well as diseases resulting from it due to its distinct mechanism of action. The Phase III trial of this pipeline drug for treating type 2 diabetes mellitus, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and obesity started on August 28, 2023. The results of a Phase II clinical trial have demonstrated significant weight reduction in overweight and obese adults. Specifically, the trial reported an average weight loss of 17.5% and 24.4% at 24 and 48 weeks, respectively.
Conclusions: These findings hold promise for the development of effective weight loss interventions in this population group. There is a need for more phase III studies to provide sufficient clinical evidence for the effectiveness of retatrutide, as current evidence is limited to phase II studies and has yet to prove its worth in a larger population. Here, we aimed to provide an overview of retatrutide's safety and effectiveness in treating obesity.

Abstract Aim: The main aim of the present study was to compare and evaluate the effect of repetitive firings on different shades of a pressable all ceramic system layered with veneering porcelain.
Setting and design: In-vitro comparative study.
Materials and methods: An in vitro comparative study was conducted, and a total of 60 disc shaped specimens (15 mm in diameter and 0.8 mm in thickness) were made of heat pressed ceramic of shades A2, A3, and B2 (20 discs of each shade) grouped as Group I, II, and III, respectively, using the lost wax technique. The discs were subsequently layered with veneering porcelain followed by glazing and overglazing and underwent a firing cycle at each step until six times combined. CIE L*a*b* measurements were noted on each sample after the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth firing using VITA Easyshade Advance 4.0 spectrophotometer.
Statistical analysis used: Statistical Analysis was done by SPSS 17.0 software. One way analysis of variance, multiple comparisons using the Tukey test, and descriptive statistical analysis were done for all the groups in the study. P <0.05 was statistically significant.
Results: The mean color differences for the repeated firings were imperceptible (ΔE <1.67) to the human eye for all ceramic samples tested except between the fourth and fifth firing of Group II (shade A3).
Conclusion: The analysis revealed that although repeated firings lead to changes in L*, a*, and b* values, the mean color difference was below the clinically acceptable color change (ΔE <3.7).
