Abstract Momentum distributions of hydrogen and helium isotopes from 12C fragmentation at 3.5° were measured at 0.6 GeV/nucleon in the FRAGM experiment at ITEP TWA heavy ion accelerator. The fragments were selected by correlated time of flight and dE/dx measurements with a magnetic spectrometer with scintillation counters. The main attention was drawn to the high momentum region where the fragment velocity exceeds the velocity of the projectile nucleus. The momentum spectra of fragments span the region of the fragmentation peak as well as the cumulative region. The differential cross sections cover six orders of magnitude. The distributions measured are compared to the predictions of three ion-ion interaction models: BC, QMD and LAQGSM03.03. The kinetic energy spectra of fragments in the projectile rest frame have an exponential shape with two temperatures, being defined by their slope parameters.

Abstract In the FRAGM experiment at heavy ion accelerator complex TWAC-ITEP, the proton yields at an angle 3.5° have been measured in fragmentation of carbon ions at T0 = 0.3, 0.6, 0.95 and 2.0 GeV/nucleon on beryllium target. The data are presented as invariant proton yields on cumulative variable x in the range 0.9 < x < 2.4. Proton spectra cover six orders of invariant cross section magnitude. They have been analyzed in the framework of quark cluster fragmentation model. Fragmentation functions of quarkgluon string model are used. The probabilities of the existence of multi-quark clusters in carbon nuclei are estimated to be 8–12% for six-quark clusters and 0.2–0.6% for ninequark clusters.

Abstract Lactic acid bacteria displaying increased ability to produce lactic acid, medium proteolytic activity, and tolerance to osmotic stress were isolated under selective conditions from phyllosphere and rhizosphere of registered and raised cultivars of legumes. Lactic fermentation of poorly ensilable leguminous plants (red clover and Caucasian goat's rue) was performed by introduction of rifampin-resistant homofermenting representatives of the genus Lactobacillus (selected according to a set of technologically important characteristics). The results demonstrate that introduction of active local strains of lactobacteria, as well as the collection strain Lactobacillus plantarum BS 933, enhances activation of ensiling and increases the quality of fodder, as assessed according to the standard criteria (a decrease in pH of the medium, the ratio of lactic acid to fatty acid homologues, and the composition of silage microflora).

Title translation Method for electrodiagnosis of the necrotic zone in skeletal muscles.
Abstract A simple new method for determination of necrosis of the skeletal muscles is suggested. Stimulation of the muscle and the recording of the contraction is made via a needle electrode. The contraction is recorded as a characteristic drop of the muscle resistance to high-frequency current which per se does not cause any stimulation. The zone of necrosis does not demonstrate any characteristic changes in the resistance. The presence of necrosis in the areas under exploration was proved histologically.

Title translation The dynamics of the morphological changes in the liver after resections using the Soviet ultrasonic surgical aspirator.
Abstract The possibility of hepar resection by means of Soviet-made ultrasound device URSK-7N-18 was investigated in experiment on 13 mongrel dogs. The device was adapted to this surgery and was supplied with a special working part with a vacuum pump and channel for inspiration of liquid. The working part frequency is 26.5-30.0 kHz, resonance frequency is 26.5 kHz. The device does not damage blood vessels, nerves, and ducts but on the basis of morphology it provides both hemostasis at the early period after surgery owing to changes in microcirculation, and rapid wound healing by means of aspiration of necrotized tissues.

Abstract A simple decisive rule for classifying RR-intervals of electrocardiograms by two types, sinusoidal and anomalous, is deduced using the theory of pattern recognition. Parameters of the decisive rule according to the minimum of the Buyess probability of the classification error are selected. The algorithm may be realized with microprocessors and used in cardiac rhythm monitors.

Title translation A method for forming and the morphological characteristics of artificial liver cysts.
Abstract Application of ultrasound surgical aspirator promotes rapid formation of major cavities with dry inner surface in the depth of hepatic parenchyma. Filling of the latter with sutured copolymer of monovinyl ether of ethyleneglycol in the ratio of one filler volume to three cavity volumes results in the formation of cysts with the given stable dimensions. Good aspiration of necrotic tissues promotes rapid formation of thin-walled cysts. The given hepatic cyst model may be used in the development of new surgical and puncture methods of treatment, as well as testing of new drugs.
