Abstract Grassland ecosystems have an important role in agriculture, and at the same time, are highlysensitive to changes in land use and climate change. Simulation of the biogeochemical cycles ofmanaged grasslands may help in identifying and quantifying the main processes contributing tochanges in their productivity. In our work we used the latest version of Biome-BGCMuSo model, the modified version of the widely used biogeochemical Biome-BGC model, with structuralimprovements to simulate herbaceous ecosystem carbon and water cycles more faithfully. Our sampling areas were in diverse grasslands in the Kiskunság, Hungary. Different soil textureand changing water table level, consequently highly different water conditions are characteristicin these ecosystems, influencing the development and productivity of vegetation, and also thepotential for animal husbandry. Hence, for the meadows and the marshland ecosystems weincluded mowing management in the simulations. In order to compare the ecosystems and studytheir functions we simulated ecosystem variables, such as ecosystem respiration, standing andharvested aboveground biomass etc.We found that ecosystems with higher water availability are more sensitive to changes in waterconditions, and their productivity is more variable between years. By calibration processes usingleaf area and aboveground biomass we aim to further specify our findings.Biome-BGCMuSo is available as a standalone model, but also through virtual laboratoryenvironment and Biome-BGC Projects database (http://ecos.okologia.mta.hu/bbgcdb)developed within the BioVeL project (http://www.biovel.eu). Scientific workflow management, web service and desktop grid technology can support model optimization in the so-called"calibrated runs" within MACSUR.

Abstract In our society, the perception of psychiatric patients is not favourable, and negative prejudices do not promote the social reintegration of the persons concerned. Many covert and overt stigmatisations and discriminations in the public mood, as in the public discourse and in the functioning of institutions repeatedly affect people with psychiatric illnesses, those involved in psychiatric treatment and psychiatric institutions. In 2009, the Moravcsik Foundation established the Budapest Art Brut Gallery (BAB Gallery) which provides a showcase for art brut and outsider artists, art therapy workshops and contemporary artists. The mission of the gallery is to contribute to a positive change in the social attitudes and prejudices towards people with mental illnesses and marginalised people, and to create equal opportunities in the cultural and artistic life. Another important mission of the gallery is to showcase and promote the works of art created by people with mental illnesses. The basic idea behind the creation of PsychArt® 24 is to bring participants closer together through joint creative work, using the language and expressive means of art, and to get to know each other's perspectives, thoughts and ways of seeing. The creative session which lasts for 24 hours in a shared space and the spontaneous unconditional communication create opportunities and help individuals with mental illnesses to distinguish between themselves and their illnesses with confidence, strengthen their social relationships and increase their self-esteem. Through the community of PsychArt® 24, opportunity, support and security are not only offered to people with a psychiatric illness, but also for the other participants who create with them and can experience the uplifting experience of being together and the removal of their prejudices and fears. The PsychArt® 24 Art Marathon anti-stigma programme helps to reduce prejudice against people with psychosocial disabilities and to create cultural equality through raising awareness.

Abstract Background: The aim of our cross-sectional study was to evaluate the current situation and curriculum of nontechnical skills (NTS) training in the undergraduate education of health care professionals in Hungary.
Methods: All institutes with relevant NTS training in Hungarian faculties of medicine and faculties of health sciences were asked to fill out a 19-item questionnaire. Descriptive statistics were performed, and the characteristics of NTS teaching and non-NTS teaching institutes were compared. The independent predictors of teaching NTS in a particular institute were identified with multiple logistic regression.
Results: Seventy-seven institutes responded (52% response rate), of which 66% trained NTS. The most frequent method of NTS training is talking about them during a practice or lecture, and less than half of NTS respondents use simulation. The most frequent cause of not teaching NTS is a lack of human or technical resources. The type of faculty (p = 0.025), academic year (p = 0.001), field of medicine (p = 0.025), and importance of teamwork (p = 0.021) differed between NTS and noNTS institutes. Teaching students in academic year two represented the only independent predictor of NTS education (p = 0.012).
Conclusions: Our findings show that the undergraduate curriculum of Hungarian universities includes some type of NTS education; however, this education requires further development.

Abstract Pleasure is often left out of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) interventions. The expanding evidence base suggests that the inclusion of pleasure can improve SRHR outcomes and increase safer sex practices. However, there is a lack of research into how to include pleasure in applied SRHR work, particularly outside of key groups. This study aims to present the experiences of a cohort of pleasure implementers and develop a series of implementation best practices. Data were gathered from a structured survey filled out by pleasure implementers (

Title translation In-hospital cardiac arrest and basic life support.
Abstract Survival of in-hospital cardiac arrests is still as low as 15-35%. Healthcare workers should closely monitor patients' vital signs, notice any deterioration, and initiate the necessary actions to prevent cardiac arrest. The introduction of early warning sign protocols (including the monitoring of respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, pulse, blood pressure, consciousness, etc.) can improve the recognition of periarrest patients during hospital stay. However, when a cardiac arrest occurs, healthcare workers should also be able to work in team and follow the relevant protocols delivering good quality chest compressions and early defibrillation. To achieve this goal, regular trainings, appropriate infrastructure and system-wide teamwork are needed. In this paper, we discuss the challenges of the first phase of in-hospital resuscitation and its integration into the hospital-wide medical emergency response system. Abstract Popularity is an approach in mechanism design to find fair structures in a graph, based on the votes of the nodes. Popular matchings are the relaxation of stable matchings: given a graph G=(V,E) with strict preferences on the neighbors of the nodes, a matching M is popular if there is no other matching M' such that the number of nodes preferring M' is more than those preferring M. This paper considers the popularity testing problem, when the task is to decide whether a given matching is popular or not. Previous algorithms applied reductions to maximum weight matchings. We give a new algorithm for testing popularity by reducing the problem to maximum matching testing, thus attaining a linear running time O(|E|). Linear programming-based characterization of popularity is often applied for proving the popularity of a certain matching. As a consequence of our algorithm we derive a more structured dual witness than previous ones. Based on this result we give a combinatorial characterization of fractional popular matchings, which are a special class of popular matchings.

Title translation The novelties of adult advanced life support and post-resuscitation therapy.
Abstract The fourth element of chain-of-survival contains advanced life support and post-resuscitation treatment. Both treatment options influence the outcome of patients suffering cardiac arrest. Advanced life support includes all interventions that require special medical equipment and expertise. High-quality chest compressions and early defibrillation (if indicated) compose the main elements of advanced life support. Clarifying and treating the cause of cardiac arrest have also high priority, in which point-of-care ultrasound plays an important role. In addition, securing higher level of airway and capnography, securing intravenous or intraosseous line, and the parenteral administration of drugs - such as epinephrine or amiodarone - are the most important steps of advanced life support. If conventional therapy is unsuccessful, extracorporeal circulatory support can be used in special patient populations. The protection of vital organs that are sensitive to hypoxia (brain and heart) has a high priority after the return of spontaneous circulation beside the causative treatment of cardiac arrest. The most important parts of the supportive post-resuscitation treatment are: targeting normoxia, normocapnia, normotension, normoglycemia, and the application of target temperature management. Title translation Out-of-hospital adult basic life support: new guidelines and the involvement of bystanders.
Abstract Survival rate for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest remains low across Europe. In the last decade, involving bystanders turned out to be one of the most important key factors in improving the outcome of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Beside recognizing cardiac arrest and initiate chest compressions, bystanders could be also involved in delivering early defibrillation. Although adult basic life support is a sequence of simple interventions that can be easily learnt even by schoolchildren, non-technical skills and emotional components can complicate real-life situations. This recognition combined with modern technology brings a new point of view in teaching and implementation. We review the latest practice guidelines and new advances in the education (including the importance of non-technical skills) of out-of-hospital adult basic life support, also considering the effects of COVID-19 pandemic. We briefly present the Szív City application developed to support the involvement of lay rescuers. Orv Hetil. 2023; 164(12): 443-448.
