Abstract India is exceptionally backward in public acceptance and diffusion of electric vehicles. Therefore, considering the perspective of the Indian people, policymakers, automakers, and marketers, the primary aim of this study was to develop an effective model comprising selective influencing variables that were relevant in the Indian context and capable of revealing the true intention of Indian people to use electric vehicles (EVs). The structural equation modeling was applied to validate the proposed model. Consistently significant results derived from the three separate studies confirmed that the intention to use electric vehicles in India could be explained as being most significantly related to purchase price, perceived behaviour control, personal norms, environmental concerns, sustainable behaviour, driving range, household income, respectively, among all significant influencing factors. The findings covered the literature gaps by confirming the consistently and comparatively strong partial mediating effect of environmental concerns on the relationship between sustainable behaviour and EVs usage intention, personal norms and EVs usage intention, and the mediating effect of the purchase price on the relationship between the driving range and EVs usage intention. The findings also confirmed a moderating effect of age on the relationship between perceived behaviour control and EVs usage intention. The study propounds some important implications for policymakers, automakers, marketers, and other stakeholders, reflecting on the development of strategies for wide-scale acceptance of EVs in India in the coming years.

Abstract An electrochemical strategy for the synthesis of unsymmetrical sulfoxides has been explored using Bunte salts and aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborates under constant current electrolysis at room temperature. In addition to being eco-safe and using mild conditions, the present protocol is free from the use of metal/oxidant, and is endowed with a broad substrate scope and good functional group tolerance.

Abstract Cardiac tachyarrhythmia presents a significant health care challenge, causing notable morbidity and mortality. Conventional treatments have limitations and potential risks, resulting in an elevated disease burden. Adeno-associated virus (AAV)-mediated gene therapy holds promise as a potential future treatment option. Therefore, we aimed to provide a measured overview of the latest developments in this rapidly growing field. PubMed and Embase databases were searched up to January 2024. Studies that employed AAV as a vector for delivery of therapeutic agents to treat cardiac tachyarrhythmia were included. Of the 26 studies included, 20 published in the last 5 years. There were 22 novel molecular targets identified. More than 80% of the included studies employed small-animal models or used AAV9. In atrial fibrillation preclinical studies, AAV-mediated gene therapy reduced atrial fibrillation inducibility by 81% (odds ratio, 0.19 [0.08-0.45]; P < .01). Similarly, for acquired and inherited ventricular arrhythmia, animal models receiving gene therapy had less inducible ventricular arrhythmia (odds ratio, 0.06 [0.03-0.11]; P < .01). This review highlights the rapid progress of AAV-mediated gene therapy for cardiac tachyarrhythmia. Although these investigations are currently in the early stages of clinical application, they present promising prospects for gene therapy. (PROSPERO registry: CRD42023479448).
