    Abstract Long noncoding RNAs (LncRNAs) are transcripts of nucleic acid sequences with a length of more than 200 bp, which have only partial coding capabilities. Recent studies have shown that lncRNAs located in the nucleus or cytoplasm can be used as gene expression regulatory elements due to their important regulatory effects in a variety of biological processes. Wilms tumor (WT) is a common abdominal tumor in children whose pathogenesis remains unclear. In recent years, many specifically expressed lncRNAs have been found in WT, which affect the occurrence and development of WT. At the same time, lncRNAs may have the capacity to become novel biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of WT. This article reviews related research progress on the relationship between lncRNAs and WT, to provide a new direction for clinical diagnosis and treatment of WT.

    Abstract N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is a dynamic, reversible post-transcriptional modification, and the most common internal modification of eukaryotic messenger RNA (mRNA). Considerable evidence now shows that m6A alters gene expression, thereby regulating cell self-renewal, differentiation, invasion, and apoptotic processes. M6A methylation disorders are directly related to abnormal RNA metabolism, which may lead to tumor formation. M6A methyltransferase is the dominant catalyst during m6A modification; it removes m6A demethylase, promotes recognition by m6A binding proteins, and regulates mRNA metabolic processes. Bladder cancer (BC) is a urinary system malignant tumor, with complex etiology and high incidence rates. A well-differentiated or moderately differentiated pathological type at initial diagnosis accounts for most patients with BC. For differentiated superficial bladder urothelial carcinoma, the prognosis is normally good after surgery. However, due to poor epithelial cell differentiation, BC urothelial cell proliferation and infiltration may lead to invasive or metastatic BC, which lowers the 5-years survival rate and significantly affects clinical treatments in elderly patients. Here, we review the latest progress in m6A RNA methylation research and investigate its regulation on BC occurrence and development.

    Abstract Extracellular vesicles (EVs), especially exosomes, have been reported to play essential roles as extracellular messengers by transporting goods in various diseases, while their potential roles in bladder cancer (BC) still remain to be further studied. BC exhibits a high degree of chemoresistance and metastatic ability, which may be affected by cancer-derived exosomes that carry proteins, lipids and RNA. To date, the most studied exosomal molecular cargo is long non-coding RNA (lncRNA). Although there is increasing interest in its role and function, there is relatively little knowledge about it compared with other RNA transcripts. Nevertheless, in the past ten years, we have witnessed increasing interest in the role and function of lncRNA. For example, lncRNAs have been studied as potential biomarkers for the diagnosis of BC. They may play a role as a therapeutic target in precision medicine, but they may also be directly involved in the characteristics of tumour progression, such as metastasis, epithelial-mesenchymal transition and drug resistance. Cancer cells are on chemotherapy acting. The function of lncRNA in various cancer exosomes has not yet been determined. In this review, we summarize the current studies about the prominent roles of exosomal lncRNAs in genome integrity, BC progression and carcinogenic features.

    Abstract Exosomal circRNAs have emerged as promising biomarkers and therapeutic targets for urinary tumors. In this review, we explored the intricate role of exosomal circRNAs in urological cancers, focusing on their biological functions, dysregulation in tumors, and potential clinical applications. The review delves into the mechanisms by which exosomal circRNAs contribute to tumor progression and highlights their diagnostic and therapeutic implications. By synthesizing current research findings, we present a compelling case for the significance of exosomal circRNAs in the context of urinary tumors. Furthermore, the review discusses the challenges and opportunities associated with utilizing exosomal circRNAs as diagnostic tools and targeted therapeutic agents. There is a need for further research to elucidate the specific mechanisms of exosomal circRNA secretion and delivery, as well as to enhance the detection methods for clinical translational applications. Overall, this comprehensive review underscores the pivotal role of exosomal circRNAs in urinary tumors and underscores their potential as valuable biomarkers and therapeutic tools in the management of urological cancers.

    Abstract Macrophages are immune cells in the TME that can not only inhibit angiogenesis, extracellular matrix remodeling, cancer cell proliferation, and metastasis but also mediate the phagocytosis and killing of cancer cells after activation, making them key targets in anti-tumor immunotherapy. However, there is little research on macrophages and their relation to disease prognosis in HNSCC. Initially, we collected scRNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq, and clinical data. Subsequently, we identified macrophages and distinguished MRGs. Using the K-means algorithm, we performed consensus unsupervised clustering. Next, we used ssGSEA analysis to assess immune cell infiltration in MRG clusters. A risk model was established using multivariate Cox analysis. Then, Kaplan-Meier, ROC curves, univariate and multivariate COX analyses, and C-index was used to validate the predictive power of the signature. The TIDE method was applied to assess the response to immunotherapy in patients diagnosed with HNSCC. In addition, drug susceptibility predictions were made for the GDSC database using the calcPhenotype function. We found that 8 MRGs had prognostic potential. Patients in the MRG group A had a higher probability of survival, and MRG clusters A and B had different characteristics. Cluster A had a higher degree of expression and infiltration in MRG, indicating a closer relationship with MRG. The accuracy of the signature was validated using univariate and multivariate Cox analysis, C-index, and nomogram. Immune landscape analysis found that various immune functions were highly expressed in the low-risk group, indicating an improved response to immunotherapy. Finally, drugs with high sensitivity to HNSCC (such as 5-Fluorouracil, Temozolomide, Carmustine, and EPZ5676) were explored and analyze the malignant characteristics of HNSCC. We constructed a prognostic model using multivariate Cox analysis, consisting of 8 MRGs (TGM2, STC1, SH2D3C, PIK3R3, MAP3K8, ITGA5, ARHGAP4, and AQP1). Patients in the low-risk group may have a higher response to immunotherapy. The more prominent drugs for drug selection are 5-fluorouracil, temozolomide and so on. Malignant features associated with HNSCC include angiogenesis, EMT, and the cell cycle. This study has opened up new prospects for the prognosis, prediction, and clinical treatment strategy of HNSCC.

    Abstract Traditional Chinese culture, with its distinctive nationality and regionalism, is a valuable source of creative elements for Chinese architecture, and also an effective weapon to cope with the impact of “internationalization” and “standardization”. In this paper, traditional cultural elements are symbolically categorized, dissected and innovated through architectural semiotics to explore the characteristics and application significance of traditional cultural symbols in contemporary architectural design. Moreover, case studies are conducted to derive the correct expression of traditional Chinese culture in contemporary architectural design, with a view to finding out a universal path for applying traditional cultural symbols in architecture.

    Abstract To reduce the heating of the Terfenol-D rod and evaluate its working efficiency, six kinds of Terfenol-D rods were designed, and the temperature field of the rods was simulated and calculated using the finite element method to obtain the temperature distribution. The results showed that the untreated rod had the highest temperature; the temperature was higher in the middle and lower at both ends; higher on the outer diameter surface; and lower on the inside. When compared to the untreated rod, the temperatures of sliced rods and slit rods decreased, and the temperature of sliced rods was lower than that of slit rods; the temperature of slit rods was higher in the middle and lower at both ends; the temperature distribution of sliced rods was more uniform relatively; the slice treatment rod had the lowest temperature and the best heat suppression effect. Three structural rods were chosen and manufactured from a total of six that were tested. It shows that the temperature of all rods was higher in the middle and lower at both ends after 30 min of operation. The actual temperature of untreated rod was 34 °C, the actual temperature of radially slit rod was 32 °C, and the actual temperature of sliced rod at both ends was 28 °C. The tested temperature distributions of three rods agreed with the calculated ones.

    Abstract Coronary-pulmonary arterial fistula is a rare coronary artery abnormality disease, which refers to a coronary fistula that terminates at the pulmonary artery. Coronary-pulmonary fistulas are much less common in children than in adults, and the small fistulas are easily missed. We report the case of a 9-year-old girl who presented with coronary-pulmonary arterial fistula. She underwent multimodal imaging, including chest X-ray, echocardiography, computed tomography with 3-dimensional cinematic rendering. We found that the cinematic rendering images clearly showed the small-caliber fistulous connections. The combination of CT and echocardiography can effectively help doctors understand the anatomical details and hemodynamic information.

    Abstract Aging leads to escalated systemic inflammation. As the sentinel of immune system, natural killer (NK) cells are early responders that sense cues and signals from target organs and swiftly orchestrate local inflammation upon their arrival. Emerging evidence indicates a profound role of NK cells in the initiation and evolution of neuroinflammation in aging and age-related diseases. Here we discuss recent advances in NK cell biology and the organ-specific features of NK cells in normal brain aging, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and stroke. Our increasing understanding of NK cells and their unique features in aging and age-related diseases may facilitate the future design of immune therapies targeting NK cells to benefit the old population.

    Abstract Smartphones have become a fundamental tool in the daily life of mankind, but its excessive use seriously impairs people's quality of sleep. A specific state of emotion has been shown to play a crucial role in the relationship between mobile phone addiction (MPA) and the sleep quality of college students. However, studies have rarely considered top-down emotion regulation. This study is the first to examine the effects of MPA on the sleep quality of Chinese college students from a top-down emotion regulation perspective. The survey sample comprised 1559 university students (40.73% male; M (SD) age = 19.11 (1.22) years) who completed questionnaires on MPA, sleep quality, anxiety and emotion regulation. The results revealed that (1) Anxiety mediated the relationship between MPA and sleep quality; (2) Cognitive reappraisal (CR) negatively moderated the relationship between MPA and anxiety; and (3) Expressive suppression (ES) positively moderated the relationship between MPA and anxiety. These findings reveal the mechanism of sleep problems in Chinese college students. We provide research ideas and method guidance for the follow-up intervention and treatment of college students' sleep problems.
