Abstract Following is invited commentary on the symposium "A Crystal Ball Look into the Future of…" delivered July 16, 2011, at the Poultry Science Association's 100th annual meeting, St. Louis, Missouri. The symposium examined various aspects that will impact the future of poultry production over the next 10 to 20 yr. Topics included genetics, nutrition, incubation, and bird health. This paper deals with various aspects of future issues affecting global feeding and nutrition of poultry.

Abstract Colposcopy has a poor sensitivity to detect precancerous abnormalities of the cervix. These abnormalities will become less common after HPV vaccinated girls enter the screened population. However HPV-based screening is likely to result in more colposcopic referrals. Both these changes to cervical screening programs will reduce the incidence of high grade CIN and cervical cancer as well as the prevalence of high grade CIN presenting to the colposcopist. As a consequence the diagnostic performance of conventional colposcopy will be further challenged. This review aims to discuss leading technologies which are currently available as an alternative or in addition to colposcopy and may serve to improve the current colposcopic assessment of precancerous cervical abnormalities.

Abstract Objective: The aim of the study was to estimate the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the practice of cervical cancer screening in European countries.
Materials and methods: A 3 rounds e-survey was conducted among the 31 European Federation for Colposcopy member countries during 2020. Each representative was asked to answer to each questionnaire for their own country. Questionnaires were not anonymous. The first questionnaire was sent in April 2020 and second and third in June and December 2020, respectively.
Results: Twenty five of the 31 European countries solicited responded. A total of 19 countries (70.4%) reported that screening for cervical cancer was suspended at least once during the 3 rounds of questionnaires. In addition, 11 countries reported stopping colposcopy and treatments for cervical precancerous lesions at least once during the 3 rounds of questionnaires. These situations evolved with time, with the highest rate of countries recommending suspension of screening, colposcopy, and treatments during the second round of the survey. At round 3, no country recommended screening, colposcopy, and treatment, and 12 countries (57.5%) reported normal screening was fully implemented.
Conclusions: Our results suggest massive disruption in cervical cancer screening programs across Europe resulting from COVID-19 pandemic. Increase in the incidence of cervical cancer is to be expected.

Abstract Introduction: Most primary ocular adnexal lymphomas are those involving mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT). Radiotherapy (RT) dose regimens in the literature vary from the historically used high doses (up to 56 Gy) to lower dose RT. We aimed to examine our institution's experience with the use of orbital RT for treating early-stage primary ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma (POAML).
Methods: Patients treated for stage I or II POAML over a 12-year period (July 2006 to June 2018) were identified through institutional databases. Data were retrospectively collated through review of patient records. Descriptive statistical methods were employed to analyse the data.
Results: Eighteen patients (median age of 67; range 44-87yrs) with localised POAML (3 cases of bilateral disease) were identified, resulting in a total of 21 evaluable orbits. Eight (44%) patients were female, and all were documented to be of good performance status (ECOG 0-1). The median follow-up was 34 months (range 8-75 months). The commonest dose fractionation used was 20 Gy in 10 fractions (n = 13 orbits) and a 3D conformal or volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) technique was used in the majority of cases. None of the patients experienced an in-field recurrence. One patient had experienced a contralateral orbital recurrence two years post-unilateral orbital RT for orbital MALT lymphoma. Three patients experienced distant relapse.
Conclusion: The use of lower dose orbital RT such as 20 Gy in 10 fractions (or radio biologically equivalent) yields excellent local disease control in the management of ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma. The durability of the response appears to be favourable. Given the indolent nature of the disease and the low levels of toxicity associated with lower dose orbital RT, this regimen remains our favoured approach to the management of localised POAML.
