Abstract Background: There is currently a shortage of effective diagnostic tools that are used for identifying long-term survival among non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations. This research utilized the development of a prognostic model to assist clinicians in forecasting the survival over 24 months.
Methods: In Phase III and IV those patients who were diagnosed with EGFR mutation from January 2018 to June 2022 were enrolled into the lung cancer group of Thoracic Surgery Department of Hebei Provincial People's Hospital. Long-run survival was stated as survival for 24 months after being diagnosed. A multivariate prognostic pattern was constructed by means of internal validation and binary logistic regression by bootstrapping. One nomogram was created with a view to boosting the explanation and applicability of the pattern.
Results: A total of 603 patients with EGFR mutation were registered. Elements linked to the whole survival beyond 24 months were age (OR 6.15); female (OR 1.79); functional status (ECOG 0-1) (OR 5.26); Exon 20 insertion mutation deletion (OR 2.08); No central nervous system metastasis (OR 2.66), targeted therapy (OR 0.43); Immunotherapy (OR 0.24). The model has good internal validation.
Conclusion: Seven pretreatment clinicopathological variables predicted survival over 24 months. That pattern owns a great discriminative capability. It is hypothesized that this pattern is capable of assisting in selecting the optimal treatment sequence for NSCLC patients with EGFR mutations.

    Abstract Background: T
Purpose: To accelerate the acquisition of T
Methods: Effect of half-radial acquisition on pixel bandwidth was analyzed mathematically. A modified 3D radial dual-echo bSSFP sequence was proposed for 0.53 mm isotropic resolution knee imaging with 2 different TEs at 3 T, which alleviated the problem of off-resonance artifacts caused by traditional half-radial acquisition scheme. A novel pixel-based optimization method was proposed for efficient T
Results: Simulation showed that the proposed method is insensitive to T
Conclusions: The proposed method provides an efficient way for fast, robust, high-resolution imaging and T

Abstract Objectives: To compare the changes in condylar position after mandibular reconstruction with free fibular flap(FFF) and the differences between computer-assisted techniques and traditional methods on CT images.
Methods: Thirty-four patients who underwent mandibular reconstruction with free fibular flap were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. In the 3D group, virtual surgical planning (VSP) with osteotomy cutting plate and placement guiding plate were used, while the traditional group underwent freehand reconstruction. The CT data of 68 temporomandibular joints (TMJs) were recorded before and immediately after surgery. The condylar position was evaluated by measuring the anterior space (AS), posterior space (PS) and superior space (SS), and the ln (PS/AS) was calculated according to the method proposed by Pullinger and Hollender.
Results: In the patients included in the 3D group, the condyle on the ipsilateral side moved slightly backward; however, in the patients in the traditional group, the ipsilateral side moved considerably anteroinferior. No obvious changes on the contralateral side were noted. In the 3D group, 33% of ipsilateral condyles were in the posterior position postoperatively when compared with the preoperative position (13%). In the traditional group, the number of ipsilateral condyles in the anterior position increased from 4 to 10, accounting for 53% postoperatively. Contrary to the traditional group, the 3D group presented less condylar displacement on the ipsilateral side postoperatively.
Conclusions: This study showed a decreased percentage of change in condylar position postoperatively when VSP was used. Virtual surgical planning improved the accuracy of FFF mandibular reconstruction and made the condylar position more stable.

Abstract Herein, an interference-aware predictive aerial-and-terrestrial communication problem is studied, where an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) delivers some data payload to a few nodes within a communication deadline. The first challenge is the possible interference to the ground base stations (BSs) and users possibly at unknown locations. This paper develops a radio-map-based approach to predict the channel to the receivers and the unintended nodes. Therefore, a predictive communication strategy can be optimized ahead of time to reduce the interference power and duration for the ground nodes. Such predictive optimization raises the second challenge of developing a low-complexity solution for a batch of transmission strategies over T time slots for N receivers before the flight. Mathematically, while the proposed interference-aware predictive communication problem is non-convex, it is converted into a relaxed convex problem, and solved by a novel dual-based algorithm, which is shown to achieve global optimality at asymptotically small slot duration. The proposed algorithm demonstrates orders of magnitude saving of the computational time for moderate T and N compared to several existing solvers. Simulations show that the radio-map-assisted scheme can prevent all unintended receivers with known positions from experiencing interference and significantly reduce the interference to the users at unknown locations.

Abstract The γ-amino-α-aryl alcohol is a key functional group for the design of inhibitors directed toward a critical family of metabolic enzymes. Here we report the transformation of simple aryl halides to a highly functionalized benzyl (3-oxo-3-arylpropyl)carbamate intermediate that can rapidly be converted to a high value γ-amino-α-aryl alcohol. This chemistry is realized through a two-step process involving an enamine-based Heck coupling (EBHC) followed by a one-pot catalytic Cbz-deprotection and ketone reduction of EBHC products.

Abstract Aim: To explore the function of circ_UTRN in acute pancreatitis (AP).
Methods: After exposing AR42J cells to caerulein, the levels of circ_UTRN, miR-760-3p, and glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) were determined by quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Additionally, GPX4 and forkhead box O1 (FOXO1) protein levels were assessed by western blot. The levels of oxidative stress and ferroptosis in the supernatant of the treated AR42J cells were also assessed using commercial kits.
Results: circ_UTRN inhibited caerulein-induced oxidative stress and ferroptosis by binding with miR-760-3p. Additionally, miR-760-3p directly targeted FOXO1, thereby regulating GPX4 levels. Furthermore, GPX4 knockdown abolished the effect of miR-760-3p downregulation in AP.
Conclusion: circ_UTRN inhibited oxidative stress and ferroptosis by regulating the miR-760-3p/FOXO1/GPX4 axis. This is a potential new treatment strategy for AP.

Abstract Cellulose nanofiber was an ideal candidate for humidity actuators based on its wide availability, biocompatibility and excellent hydrophilicity. However, conventional cellulose nanofiber-based actuators faced challenges like poor water resistance, flexibility, and sensitivity. Herein, water-resistant, flexible, and highly sensitive cross-linked cellulose nanofibers (CCNF) single-layer humidity actuators with remarkable reversible humidity responsiveness were prepared by combining the green click chemistry modification and intercalation modulated plasticization (IMP). The incorporation of phenyl ring and the crosslinked network structure in CCNF films contributed to its improved water resistance and mechanical properties (with a stress increased from 85.9 ± 3.1 MPa to 141.2 ± 21.5 MPa). SEM analysis confirmed enhanced interlaminar sliding properties facilitated by IMP. This resulted in increased flexibility and toughness of CCNF films, with a strain of 11.5 % and toughness of 9.9 MJ/m
