Abstract According to the evaluation characteristics of business English language communication ability, a fuzzy principal component classification evaluation method for the elderly language communication ability is proposed. The main component analysis method is used to calculate the weight of each evaluation index, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to classify the comprehensive grade of language communication ability. The reliability of the evaluation method proposed in this paper is verified by using index data.

Abstract Porcine respirovirus 1 (PRV1), first reported in Hong Kong, is currently widely spread in several countries. Our knowledge of the clinical significance and the pathogenicity of this virus is still limited. In this study, we studied the interactions between PRV1 and host innate immune responses. PRV1 exhibited strong inhibitory effects on the production of interferon (IFN), ISG15, and RIG-I induced by SeV infection. Our data generated in vitro suggest that multiple viral proteins can suppress host type I interferon production and signaling, including N, M, and P/C/V/W. The P gene products disrupt both IRF3 and NF-κB dependent type I IFN production and block type I IFN signaling pathway by sequestering STAT1 in the cytoplasm. The V protein disrupts both MDA5 signaling and RIG-I signaling through interaction with TRIM25 and RIG-I, V protein blocks RIG-I polyubiquitination, which is required for RIG-I activation. V protein also binds to MDA5, which may contribute to its inhibitory effect on MDA5 signaling. These findings indicate that PRV1 antagonizes host innate immune responses using various mechanisms, which provides important insights into the pathogenicity of PRV1.

Abstract Pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) is a rare locally aggressive benign tumor in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). This paper presents a patient with TMJ-PVNS involving masseteric space, temporal bone, zygomatic process, and mandibular ramus. Digital technique was used to determine the boundary of the lesion and reconstruct the normal glenoid fossa. The temporalis myofascial flap was transplanted between titanium mesh and condyle to reconstruct the disk after the complete resection of the tumor. The patient's facial profile is symmetrical, with a mouth ope-ning of 43 mm. No local recurrence and complications, such as cerebrospinal fluid fistula and encephaloceles, were detected during 30-month follow-up period.

Abstract In recent years, metal-containing two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials, among various 2D nanomaterials have attracted widespread attention because of their unique physical and chemical properties, especially in the fields of biomedical applications. Firstly, the review provides a brief introduction to two types of metal-containing 2D nanomaterials, based on whether metal species take up the major skeleton of the 2D nanomaterials. After this, the synthetical approaches are summarized, focusing on two strategies similar to other 2D nanomaterials, top-down and bottom-up methods. Then, the performance and evaluation of these 2D nanomaterials when applied to cancer therapy are discussed in detail. The specificity of metal-containing 2D nanomaterials in physics and optics makes them capable of killing cancer cells in a variety of ways, such as photodynamic therapy, photothermal therapy, sonodynamic therapy, chemodynamic therapy and so on. Besides, the integrated platform of diagnosis and treatment and the clinical translatability through metal-containing 2D nanomaterials is also introduced in this review. In the summary and perspective section, advanced rational design, challenges and promising clinical contributions to cancer therapy of these emerging metal-containing 2D nanomaterials are discussed.

Abstract This study assessed the application of prophylactic percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (pPEG) in patients with newly diagnosed oral cancer (OC) who underwent surgery and were ready for subsequential chemoradiation. In total, 113 patients who underwent OC surgical treatment were divided into pPEG (n = 26), nasogastric tube (n = 54), and oral feeding (n = 33) groups. Their baseline characteristics, surgery-related outcomes, and nutritional data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon rank-sum test and χ2 test. No statistical significance was shown among the 3 groups using different flaps for reconstructing OC-related defects (P > 0.05). Patients of the pPEG group had the lowest incidence of surgical site infection (SSI; 23.1%, P = 0.006), but the longest hospital stay (24.1 ± 7.9 d, P < 0.001). Prophylactic percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy may decrease the frequency of SSI but increase the length of hospitalization in SSI OC. However, multicentric prospective clinical controlled trials with large sample sizes are needed to further validate our findings.

Abstract With the development of the data center industry and the increasing power density of servers, it is crucial to remove waste heat from small-area heat sources to ensure the safe and efficient operation of data processing chips. To complement existing studies, in this paper, a novel three-dimensional flat plate aluminum pulsating heat pipe (3D-FPPHP) with four different channel structures for radial heat dissipation of high-power server chips was proposed. The results showed that under the favorable influence of the additional capillarity force provided by the variable diameter channels, the FPPHP filled with acetone can start up easily and has good robustness during variable power operation. When the input power was 150 W, the junction temperature of the heating source could be reduced by 42.49 °C (48.67%) compared to an identical aluminum plate. In addition, a heat sink module based on the proposed 3D-FPPHP with optimal charging ratio was tested in a 1U server chassis. The results showed that it can manage an input power of 300 W (corresponding to a heat flux of 41.15 W/cm²) and achieve a total thermal resistance of 0.2053 °C/W under the premise of ensuring a safe junction temperature of chips below 85 °C.

Abstract The log-rank test is widely used to test difference in event time distribution between treatment groups. However, if subjects are not randomly assigned to treatment groups, which is often the case in observation studies, the log-rank test is not asymptotically correct for detecting group survival difference due to the imbalance of confounding variables between groups. We develop a class of modified weighted log-rank tests and Renyi-type tests for two-sample survival comparison under non-random treatment assignment. The new tests can also account for non-random censoring that depends on baseline covariates. The proposed methods involve building working models for treatment assignment, cause-specific hazard of dependent censoring, and the time to event. We prove that, when either the models for treatment assignment and dependent censoring or the model for the event time is true, the new tests are asymptotically correct, i.e. being doubly robust. Numerical experiments demonstrate the tests' double-robustness property in finite samples of realistic sizes, and also show that the doubly robust log-rank test is at least as powerful as the regular log-rank test when the treatment assignment is random and there is no dependent censoring. An application to a kidney transplant data set illustrates the utility of the proposed methods.

Abstract The research on land use transformation has attracted more and more attention, and there are few research results on the eco-environmental effects of regional land use change from the perspective of land use function transformation. From the perspective of production-living-ecological land use function classification, this paper obtained land use change data of Shaanxi Province in 2000, 2010, and 2020, calculated the land use transfer matrix, ecological environment quality index, and ecological contribution rate of land use transformation, and quantitatively analyzed the temporal and spatial evolution of production-living-ecological spaces and the eco-environmental effects of land use structure transformation in Shaanxi Province. The results showed that the land use change in Shaanxi Province is mainly manifested in the continuous increase of ecological and living land area and the continuous decrease of production land area from 2000 to 2020. In the transformation of land use structure in Shaanxi Province, the biggest change in area is the mutual transformation between productive cultivated land and ecological grassland land. The occupation of ecological grassland land by other land types is an important factor leading to the decline of ecological environment quality. Overall, the ecological environment of Shaanxi Province has shown a trend of improvement in the past two decades. Quantitative research on the transformation characteristics of land use structure and its ecological environment effects in the past two decades is conducive to providing data support for the promotion of ecological civilization construction in Shaanxi Province.
