    Abstract Objective: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and pattern of traffic offenses associated with driving under the influence of drugs (DUID) in 31 provinces of mainland China.
    Methods: Traffic offenses were extracted from the nationally representative court file disclosure website. Drivers convicted of traffic offenses associated with DUID were included. The monthly percentage change (MPC) in rates was estimated by fitting negative binomial regression models to assess the time trends. Moran's I was used to determine the correlations of DUID-related rates among surrounding provinces.
    Results: In total, 896 individuals convicted of DUID offenses were identified (April 2007 to March 2022). Of these, 769 individuals were involved in traffic crashes, and they killed 629 people. Regarding the types of drugs, 638 used amphetamine-type stimulants (ATS; methamphetamine, 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine, amphetamine, and tenamfetamine), 104 used ketamine, 104 used opioids (heroin, morphine, methadone, codeine, and tramadol), 20 used caffeine, 4 used tetrahydrocannabinol, and 1 used gamma-hydroxybutyric acid. The offense trends among overall drug users (MPC, -1.1;
    Conclusions: In the sample, the case fatality rate was 70.7%, which was a strong indicator of underreporting, and most minor DUID-related offenses could not be captured by Chinese court files. The frequency of drug screening tests for people should be increased. The traffic police in Qinghai, Tibet, and Xinjiang should always be equipped with fast screening test kits for drugs, which could increase the possibility of identifying DUID offenders.

    Abstract In order to improve the exhibition effect of museums and expand the display ways of digital museums, a Chinese museum scene roaming application system based on the Unity 3D virtual reality engine was proposed. 3Dmax model production software was used to complete the museum scenes and the model production, material, and lighting of collections in the museum. Through the Unity 3D virtual reality engine, the design and production of the interactive system were completed. The display and application of the scene roaming system of the Chinese museum were well realized. For the system, the fast construction of virtual scenes and fixed-point triggering (FPT) optimization were carried out. The experimental results showed that the improved method was 90.5% faster than the manual coding method in the optimization of fast virtual scene construction. After using the fixed-point triggering method, the average accuracy of the original 35 scenes was 63.9%. It was concluded that the application design could simulate the museum scene well, which had a certain reference value for the application of virtual reality simulation technology in the field of cultural heritage inheritance.

    Abstract In order to solve the problem of image noise, the author proposes a computer microscope image segmentation model based on the smoothing of fourth-order partial differential equations. On the basis of the functional describing the smoothness of the image by the directional curvature modulus, the author deduces a fourth-order partial differential equation (PDE) image noise reduction model, while effectively reducing noise, the edges are well preserved. The processing result of this method is a piecewise linear image, and there is a step in the gradient at the edge of the target. Taking advantage of this feature of the noise reduction results, the author proposes a new geodesic active contour model. The experimental results show that the reference method directly segments the results, iterates 10 times, and takes 160.721 seconds. Using the noise reduction model in the paper to preprocess and then using the reference method to segment the result, iterating 8 times, it takes 32.347 seconds.

    Abstract Background and objective: Population pharmacokinetic (PopPK) analysis is one of the important components of regulatory submission. The purpose of this study was to survey PopPK analysis reports in new drug applications (NDAs) and biological licensing applications (BLAs) submitted to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and to retrieve the information regarding PopPK-related issues in the US FDA review reports.
    Methods: We surveyed NDAs and BLAs over the period from 2012 to 2022 from Drug@FDA databases and extracted the review reports from the website. We explored the issues identified in these reports and sorted them into four categories: (i) data used for PopPK analysis, (ii) base model development, (iii) final model development, and (iv) model evaluation. The percentage of the issues in each category and the total issues were calculated.
    Results: Data from a total of 317 applications were analyzed. Of these, 122 applications had at least one PopPK-related issue, and the count went up to 168 issues. The proportion of issues for each category was ranked as follows: model evaluation (39%, 65 of 168), final model development (34%, 57 of 168), data used for PopPK analysis (14%, 24 of 168), and base model development (13%, 22 of 168). The most common issues were related to the goodness-of-fit plots, covariate selection, and high shrinkage of ETA, accounting for 17.9%, 15.5%, and 11.3% of the total issues, respectively.
    Conclusion: The findings from this study may help the applicant understand the FDA's thinking on the PopPK analysis.

    Abstract Vitamin B12 (B12) is required for cellular metabolism and DNA synthesis as a co-enzyme; it also possesses anti-reactive oxygen species (ROS) property as a superoxide scavenger. B12 deficiency has been implicated in multiple diseases such as megaloblastic anemia, and this disease can be effectively cured by supplementation of B12. Multiple studies suggest that B12 also benefits the conditions associated with excess ROS. Recently, we have reported that oral high dose B12 decreases superoxide level and renal injury induced by ischemia/reperfusion in mice. Here, we discuss potential mechanism(s) other than decreasing superoxide by which B12 executes its beneficial effects.

    Abstract Autologous chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T-cell therapy has improved the prognosis of hematological malignancies.Nevertheless,allogeneic CAR-T cells have potential advantages over the autologous approach available on the market.However,allogeneic CAR-T cells may cause life-threatening graft-versus-host disease(GVHD)or be rapidly eliminated by the host immune system.In this review,we analyze the different sources of T cells for optimal allogeneic CAR-T cell therapy,describe the different approaches,and introduce the gene editing measures to produce allogeneic CAR-T cells with limited potential for GVHD and improved anti-tumor effect.

    Abstract High damping rubber (HDR) bearings are extensively used in seismic design for bridges due to their remarkable energy dissipation capabilities, which is critical during earthquakes. A thorough assessment of crucial factors such as temperature, rate, experienced maximum amplitude, and the Mullins effect of HDR on the mechanics-based constitutive model of HDR is lacking. To address this issue, we propose a deep learning approach that integrates the Gate Recurrent Unit (GRU) and attention mechanism to identify time series characteristics from compression-shear test data of HDR specimens. It is shown that the combination of GRU and attention mechanism enables accurate prediction of the mechanical behavior of HDR specimens. Compared to the sole use of GRU, this suggested method significantly reduces model complexity and computation time while maintaining good prediction performance. Therefore, it offers a new approach to constructing the HDR constitutive model. Finally, the HDR constitutive model was used to analyze the impact of experienced maximum amplitudes and cycles on following processes. It was observed that maximum amplitudes directly influence the stress-strain relationship of HDR during subsequent processes. Consequently, a solid foundation is laid for evaluating the responses of HDR bearings under earthquakes.
