Abstract This study examines gender differences in the relationship between income inequality and health in China. Multilevel regression models were used to analyse data from the most recent five waves (2004-2015) across 12 provinces in the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS). The findings remain robust when considering alternative measures of health outcomes and income inequality. Men showed greater sensitivity to income inequality in terms of adverse health outcomes. When individuals experienced the same level of changes in income inequality, men had a higher risk of reporting poor health status, higher BMI, higher systolic blood pressure, and a higher risk of smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol than women. Despite missing data and causal inference challenges, this study highlights gender differences in the relationship between income inequality and health in China, potentially attributed to cultural gender norms. Double standards regarding weight and health-compromising behaviours based on gender roles and stereotypes are more intensive in China, particularly in areas with higher income inequality. One policy implication of this study is that reducing income inequality could enhance individual health outcomes, with a more notable impact on men's health compared to women's.

Abstract The third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) established a new standard for EGFR mutation positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treatment. Brain metastases (BMS) are common in NSCLCs with poor prognosis, and patients with BMS who carry uncommon mutations is lack of treatment options. Aumolertinib is the first third-generation EGFR TKI in China and the second in the global context. There are few reports of the efficacy of aumolertinib in treating NSCLC patients with BMS who harboring uncommon EGFR mutations, which is needs to be investigated. Here we reported two cases of aumolertinib in treating NSCLC patients with BMS harboring EGFR G719X/L861Q mutations. The first one was diagnosed with poorly differentiated stage IVB adenocarcinoma with brain metastases. Genetic tests showed mutations in exons of EGFR 18 (G719D) and 21 (L861Q) initially. The patient was administered with pemetrexed 0.8 g and lobaplatin 30 mg, and aumolertinib (110 mg QD) combined with one-month of WBRT(Whole Brain Radiation Therapy) (42 Gy in 7 fractions). In order to avoid the side effects of radiotherapy on brain, radiotherapy was discontinued on February 5, 2020. The regime was continued with pemetrexed 0.75 g, lobaplatin 30 mg, bevacizumab 400 mg, and aumolertinib 110 mg QD. The four-drug combination regimen lasted for 6 months until serum tumor markers were elevated slightly. Then lobaplatin was replaced with nedaplatin, and the new four-drug combination regimen (pemetrexed 0.75 g, nedaplatin 90mg, bevacizumab 400 mg, and aumolertinib 110mg QD) was used with a one-month cycle for 3 cycles. Aumolertinib was administered daily throughout the four-drug combination, with the rest administered on day 1 of this treatment cycle. Chest CT scan were performed each month, which showed no progressed of lung disease. The patient had a progression-free survival of 13 months and is still being treated with aumolertinib. The second patient was diagnosed as right lung adenocarcinoma (T3N2M1) IVB secondary bone and brain malignancy carrying EGFR 18 (G719A) and 21 (L861Q) exon mutation. Aumolertinib combined with local radiotherapy was used after failure of afatinib combined with radiotherapy. Follow-up chest CT and brain MRI revealed that the lung lesions were partially relieved. Furthermore, the multiple nodules in the brain were relieved and cerebral edema was reduced. The aumolertinib monotherapy was continued, and follow-up imaging showed no disease progression. PFS was 13 months during the treatment with aumolertinib. The two cases showed good efficacy of aumolertinib in treating patients with brain metastases (BMS) that harbored EGFR 18 (G719X) and 21 (L861Q) mutations.

Abstract With the popularization of piano education, various schools are constantly carrying out reforms in order to cultivate piano application-oriented talents. While accelerating the creation of a perfect piano teaching model, they are also striving to adapt to the trend of the times. The basic education of piano in colleges and universities is a training activity for musicians, and this education method directly affects the professional quality of music of students. How to learn basic piano is very worthy of attention. Basic piano education is a thorough training of piano in conventional colleges, which can improve practical strength and the capacity to apply music broadly. The main purpose of teaching the fundamentals of piano is to develop students' visual acuity and help them comprehend and apply the principles of aesthetics. The teaching approach for beginning piano classes at various schools is still in its infancy and is deficient in every way. This essay examines the "flipped classroom (FC)" teaching approach used to offer beginner piano lessons in a number of schools. This study proposes the specific process of the "FC" teaching mode and explores the implementation impact of particular scenarios, specifically in light of the features of the training mode of applied abilities. Through inquiry and research, it has been determined that students who get FC instruction have greater employment rates than those who receive traditional instruction, with an average rise of 14.2 percent and a maximum increase of 17 percent. Based on the students' application skills, it demonstrates that the FC teaching technique is generally successful for the teaching method of basic piano courses in colleges and universities.

Abstract A high test-retest reliability in measurement of pinch force sense is required to assess a clinical parameter accurately over a longitudinal study. Ipsilateral reproduction (IR) task and contralateral matching (CM) task have commonly been used for the assessment of force sense. To date, there has been little research on the test-retest reliability of pinch force sense utilizing the contralateral force matching task. This research aimed to explore this phenomenon across a spectrum of reference force levels (10, 30, and 50 percent maximum voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC)) using a contralateral matching task. Every participant in the study was tested twice by the same skilled experts, with each session separated by one week. Although normalized variable error indicated a poor level of reliability (intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) = - 0.25 to 0.05) for these force sense tests, normalized constant error (ICC = 0.76-0.85) and normalized absolute error (ICC = 0.61-0.81) results indicated a fair to good of reliability. The lower bound of 95% CI of ICC for NAE and NCE indicated fair test-retest reliability (0.41-0.69). These findings suggest that investigators can reasonably obtain a fair to good test-retest reliability when investigating pinch force sense using the contralateral matching task. The Bland-Altman plots, SEM, and MDD95% were lower at these lower reference force level (10% MVIC) compared to the level of higher reference forces (30% and 50% MVIC). Therefore, when the reference force level increases, the participant needs a larger NAE or NCE decrease to show that their pinch force sense has indeed improved.

Abstract Cilia are highly conserved eukaryotic organelles that protrude from the cell surface and are involved in sensory perception, motility, and signaling. Their proper assembly and function rely on the bidirectional intraflagellar transport (IFT) system, which involves motor proteins, including antegrade kinesins and retrograde dynein. Although the role of IFT-mediated transport in cilia has been extensively studied, recent research has highlighted the contribution of IFT-independent kinesins in ciliary processes. The coordinated activities and interplay between IFT kinesins and IFT-independent kinesins are crucial for maintaining ciliary homeostasis. In this comprehensive review, we aim to delve into the specific contributions and mechanisms of action of the IFT-independent kinesins in cilia. By shedding light on their involvement, we hope to gain a more holistic perspective on ciliogenesis and ciliopathies.

Abstract Objective: This study aimed to examine the relative risk of risk factor in male and female breast cancer (BC) deaths in China and analyzed the changing trends in BC mortality rates from 1990 to 2019.
Methods: Open data from the Global Burden of Disease database from 1990 to 2019 were analyzed to assess the number of BC deaths and age-standardized mortality rates (ASMR) in China. The age-period-cohort model was employed to study age effects, period effects, cohort effects, as well as local drift and net drift of the data, determining the impact of changing risk factors on crude mortality rates and ASMR of BC.
Results: In 2019, the number of BC deaths across all age groups in China increased by 130.38% compared to 1990, with an increase of 125.68% in females and 648.80% in males. The ASMR for BC and male BC increased in 2019, while female BC ASMR declined. Overall, alcohol consumption and smoking as risk factors contributed to increased mortality rates of BC with advancing age. Over the entire study period, the net drift of alcohol consumption in females for BC was 0.06% (95% confidence interval [CI]: -0.24% to 0.36%), while for smoking it was -0.64% (95% CI: -0.83% to -0.45%). For males, the net drift of alcohol consumption for BC was 6.75% (95% CI: 5.55% to 7.96%), and for smoking, it was 6.09% (95% CI: 2.66% to 9.64%).
Conclusion: Hence, improving awareness of BC-related risk factors and implementing prevention strategies are necessary to alleviate future BC burdens.
