Abstract Many unique properties in two-dimensional (2D) materials and their heterostructures rely on charge excitation, scattering, transfer, and relaxation dynamics across different points in the momentum space. Understanding these dynamics is crucial in both the fundamental study of 2D physics and their incorporation in optoelectronic and quantum devices. A direct method to probe charge carrier dynamics with momentum resolution is time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (TR-ARPES). Such measurements have been challenging, since photoexcited carriers in many 2D monolayers reside at high crystal momenta, requiring probe photon energies in the extreme UV (EUV) regime. These challenges have been recently addressed by development of table-top pulsed EUV sources based on high harmonic generation, and the successful integration into a TR-ARPES and/or time-resolved momentum microscope. Such experiments will allow direct imaging of photoelectrons with superior time, energy, and crystal momentum resolution, with unique advantage over traditional optical measurements. Recently, TR-ARPES experiments of 2D transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) monolayers and bilayers have created unprecedented opportunities to reveal many intrinsic dynamics of 2D materials, such as bandgap renormalization, charge carrier scattering, relaxation, and wavefunction localization in moiré patterns. This perspective aims to give a short review of recent discoveries and discuss the challenges and opportunities of such techniques in the future.

Abstract To address climate change and promote green development, the Chinese government has implemented low-carbon city pilot policy since 2010, and continued to expand the scope of pilots. Accurately assessing the policy effects of pilot city construction is of great significance for the further promotion of low-carbon policy. Carbon emissions are included in the evaluation framework of China's low-carbon city pilot policy, and used the panel data of 272 cities in 2000-2018 to evaluate the effectiveness of low-carbon city pilot policy based on the multi-period difference-in-differences (DID) model. Empirical findings that (1) low-carbon pilot policy could not only directly reduce carbon emissions, but also indirectly reduce carbon emissions through upgrading industrial structure and promoting technological innovation. (2) Given that there is remarkable gap in economic and social development across different regions, the policy effect is reexamined for nature resource and region location. The results indicate that carbon emissions reduction effect of low-carbon city pilot policy is more significant in resource-based cities and eastern cities. (3) Carbon emissions have significant spatial correlation, that is to say, low-carbon pilot policy has positive spillover effect on reducing carbon emissions in surrounding cities. The study provides empirical evidence for further expanding the scope of the pilot projects, as well as scientific basis for making environmental policies for carbon emissions reduction.

Abstract Climate change and global warming have attracted more and more attention from countries all over the world. A recent study published in Scientometrics has evaluated the changing dynamics of climate change-related research publications via a bibliometric analysis and further probed the relationship between climate change-related research output and carbon dioxide emissions. We try to re-evaluate the bibliometric analysis section of the mentioned study and provide three improvement suggestions related to data source, search field and search query respectively. Besides, some new explanations have also been offered for the abnormal increase of research outputs indexed by Web of Science Core Collection in specific years such as 1991. These suggestions and explanations will provide important references for future various bibliometric analyses and research evaluation.

Abstract With the rapid development of China’s securities market, bank loans as an important channel of enterprise financing has been unable to meet the capital needs of most enterprises, this article is based on the A-share main board listed company and equity pledge ratio as the research object, a case study of rashabel’s equity. It is concluded that the value of the company is inversely proportional to the proportion of the allocated equity. We should distribute equity reasonably, balance the power among shareholders, so as to improve the efficiency of governance and strengthen the supervision of large shareholders.

Abstract Over time, environmental concerns have gained much importance and main debatable issue. Green products are becoming popular due to their positive impact on environment and their role in the green economy. However, the significance of environmental awareness, perceived cost, face culture and policy incentives on green consumption behavior is not fully examined in prior research. This research aimed to analyze the various dimensions impacting behavior regarding green consumption in China. Moreover, the moderating impact of policy incentives, perceived cost, and face culture is also explored. An internet-based survey was undertaken and findings indicate that environmental awareness serves as foundation for eco-friendly consumption. The transition from awareness to action is influenced by various factors. Among these, the perceived cost by consumers represents a significant barrier to green consumption, while face culture has a significant impact in encouraging green consumption. Interestingly, policy incentives do not exhibit any notable direct effect or moderating influence on green consumption practices of consumers.

Abstract Pan-entertainment live streaming combines video with two-way communication and real-time viewer participation, allowing viewers to send virtual gifts to their favorite streamers. Drawing on social exchange theory, this study investigates the factors that influence viewers' gift-giving intentions in live streaming from the perspectives of both viewers and streamers. It also explores the moderating role of streamers' deceptive self-presentation. The theoretical framework is tested using AMOS and PROCESS Macro based on survey responses collected from 331 TikTok users in China. The results suggest that streamers' attractiveness, expertise, parasocial interaction, and the viewers' deceptive self-presentation significantly affect viewers' gift-giving intention, and that streamers' deceptive self-representation moderates the relationship between attractiveness, expertise, parasocial inter-action and the viewer's consumer intention. These findings contribute to social exchange theory by highlighting the importance of streamers' deceptive self-presentation in moderating the effects of attractiveness, expertise, parasocial interaction, and the viewer's deceptive self-presentation on the viewer's gift-giving intention.

Abstract Background: As the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic winds down, both individuals and society are gradually returning to life and activities before the pandemic. This study aims to explore how people's emotions have changed from the pre-pandemic period during the pandemic to this post-emergency period and whether the sentiment level nowadays has returned to the pre-pandemic level.
Method: We collected Reddit social media data in 2019 (pre-pandemic), 2020 (peak period of the pandemic), 2021, and 2022 (late stages of the pandemic, transitioning period to the post-emergency period) from the subreddits communities in 128 universities/colleges in the U.S., and a set of school-level baseline characteristics such as location, enrollment, graduation rate, selectivity, etc. We predicted two sets of sentiments from a pre-trained Robustly Optimized BERT pre-training approach (RoBERTa) and a graph attention network (GAT) that leverages both the rich semantic information and the relational information among posted messages and then applied model stacking to obtain the final sentiment classification. After obtaining the sentiment label for each message, we employed a generalized linear mixed-effects model to estimate the temporal trend in sentiment from 2019 to 2022 and how the school-level factors may affect the sentiment.
Results: Compared to the year 2019, the odds of negative sentiment in years 2020, 2021, and 2022 are 25%. 7.3%, and 6.3% higher, respectively, which are all statistically significant at the 5% significance level based on the multiplicity-adjusted p-values.
Conclusions: Our study findings suggest a partial recovery in the sentiment composition (negative vs. non-negative) in the post-pandemic-emergency era. The results align with common expectations and provide a detailed quantification of how sentiments have evolved from 2019 to 2022 in the sub-population represented by the sample examined in this study.

Abstract Objective: Previous studies have reported that neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) have been identified to be involved in thrombosis, but the clinical value in chronic heart failure (CHF) patients with venous thrombosis is unclear. This study focused on the expression level of NETs in the peripheral blood of patients with CHF complicated with venous thrombosis and its clinical value.
Methods: 80 patients with CHF were included and divided into 2 groups according to the occurrence of venous thrombosis, and the expression levels of NETs in peripheral venous blood and lesion veins of the patients were detected through fluorescent staining. Myeloperoxidase-DNA (MPO-DNA) and citrullinated histone H3 (CitH3), markers of NETs, were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay kit. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the value of peripheral venous blood NETs in the diagnosis of venous thrombosis in CHF patients, while the relationship between NETs in peripheral and lesion veins was analyzed by a unitary linear regression model.
Results: The results showed that the concentration of NETs, MPO-DNA, and CitH3 in CHF patients combined with venous thrombosis was markedly higher than that in patients without venous thrombosis, and the concentration of NETs, MPO-DNA, and CitH3 in lesion venous blood was notably higher than that in peripheral venous blood. Binary logistics regression analysis showed that NETs in peripheral venous blood were an independent risk factor for venous thrombosis in patients with heart failure. The unitary linear regression model fitted well, indicating a notable positive correlation between NETs concentrations in peripheral and lesion veins. The area under the ROC curve for diagnosing venous thrombosis was 0.85, indicating that peripheral blood NETs concentration levels could effectively predict venous thrombosis in CHF patients.
Conclusion: The expression level of NETs was high in the peripheral blood of CHF patients combined with venous thrombosis and was the highest in lesion venous blood. NETs levels in peripheral blood had the value of diagnosing venous thrombosis in CHF patients, and the concentrations of NETs in peripheral and lesion veins are markedly positively correlated.
