Abstract This paper reported a case of severe Chlamydia psittaci pneumonia. The patient had a clear history of contact with sick poultry. The clinical manifestations were dry cough, fever and respiratory failure. Chest CT showed consolidation in the lower lobe of the right lung, and a small amount of exudative ground-glass opacity in the left lung. Chlamydia psittaci was detected in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) by metagenomic assay. After treatment with antibiotics such as nitroimidazoles and carbapenems, the patient was discharged with a better health condition.

Abstract Tripping frequently occurs when an individual climbs the stairs with improper foot clearance. Among older adults, falling down the stairs accounts for over 10% of accidental deaths. This paper proposes an exoskeleton control method that blends human-dominant and exoskeleton-dominant control to prevent tripping. The blending controller not only allows the exoskeleton to track the pilot's movements and provide power assistance during regular walking, but also allows the exoskeleton to help the pilot avoid dangers in some cases. An online path planning method is used to generate a safe trajectory in the exoskeleton-dominant mode to help the pilot correct their running trajectory. The controller provides the pilot with adjustment spaces to adapt to sudden changes in the motion mode and enable active self-regulation. The simulations verified the effectiveness of the proposed blending method. Experiments showed that the robot should be involved in the pilot's movements when the foot clearance exceed the safety threshold to prevent tripping.

Abstract Objective: Caveolin-1 plays critical roles in regulating signal transduction and cholesterol trafficking in cells. However, the relationship between caveolin-1 and stroke remains less reported.
Materials and methods: In this study, we reviewed information from seventeen studies to get the qualitative evidence of the influence of the caveolin-1 on stroke and collected data from three of the seventeen studies to conduct meta-analysis. The original studies classified participants into two groups with stroke group and control group, respectively. The random-effect model was used in the meta-analysis with the standardized mean difference (SMD) as the measure indicator.
Results: Our data showed that the SMD (95% confidence intervals, CIs) between the control group and the stroke group was -0.5449 [-2.3344, 1.0000]. For the subgroup analysis, The SMD (95% confidence intervals, CIs) between the control group and the ischemic stroke group was -1.4589 [-5.0129, 2.0951], and between the control group and the hemorrhagic stroke group was 0.3438 [-0.4140, 1.1017].
Conclusions: Although the differences are not statistically significant between the two groups, the high level of caveolin-1 are associated with the stroke, which may remedy the stroke. Besides, an opposite result was observed for the association of the caveolin-1 on the ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke. To confirm this association, further studies are necessary.

Abstract Objective: To explore the role of miR-451a in the migration and invasion of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells.
Materials and methods: Quantitative Real time-polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and Western blot were performed to detect the levels of miR-451a and activating transcription factor 2 (ATF2) in NSCLC. Transwell assay was employed to analyze the migratory and invasive abilities in NSCLC cells. Dual-luciferase reporter assay was applied to confirm the binding condition of miR-451 and its target gene in NSCLC cells.
Results: MiR-451a was downregulated in NSCLC tissues and lung cancer cell lines A549 and NCI-H460, while ATF2 was upregulated. The mRNA level of miR-451a was negatively correlated to ATF2. Additionally, miR-451a regulated cell migration and invasion through targeting ATF2. Furthermore, ATF2 could reverse the inhibitory migration and invasion of A549 cells induced by miR-451a.
Conclusions: MiR-451a inhibits the migratory and invasive abilities of NSCLC cells through ATF2 regulation. The newly identified miR-451a/ATF2 axis provides a novel insight into the pathogenesis of NSCLC.
