    Abstract Diabetes is an inducement of muscle atrophy to cause motor disturbance. Ferulic Acid (FA) possessed various pharmacological effects in diabetes and muscle function. This research aimed to appraise potential role of FA on muscle atrophy in high glucose environment. Our result displayed FA promoted myofiber size and grip strength to reduce high glucose-mediated muscle function discords. In serum, FA exhibited its anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory capabilities via enhancing T-AOC, SOD and CAT levels and reducing MDA, TNF-α and IL-6 levels. In skeletal muscle, FA suppressed FBXO-32 and MURF-1 expressions to improve ubiquitin-proteasome system. Moreover, GA restrained DDIT-3 and GRP-78 expressions to relieve high glucose-mediated endoplasmic reticulum stress. Lastly, GA increased BAX expressions and decreased BCL-2 expressions to attenuate high glucose-mediated apoptosis. In conclusion, FA preserve against muscle atrophy by meliorating ubiquitin-proteasome system, endoplasmic reticulum stress and apoptosis in high glucose environment.

    Abstract Digital transformation of education is the focus and hot spot of education reform at present, and digital transformation will bring radical changes to the field of education and teaching. Foreign language teaching, because of its special characteristics, can receive more attention and changes, and can produce a process from quantitative to qualitative changes. How to make a good digital transformation of foreign language teaching is very important to promote foreign language teaching methods, innovation and application as well as to explore new teaching modes under digital conditions.     Abstract Robust image watermarking that can resist camera shooting has become an active research topic in recent years due to the increasing demand for preventing sensitive information displayed on computer screens from being captured. However, many mainstream schemes require human assistance during the watermark detection process and cannot adapt to scenarios that require processing a large number of images. Although deep learning-based schemes enable end-to-end watermark embedding and detection, their limited generalization ability makes them vulnerable to failure in complex scenarios. In this paper, we propose a carefully crafted watermarking system that can resist camera shooting. The proposed scheme deals with two important problems: automatic watermark localization (AWL) and automatic watermark detection (AWD). AWL automatically identifies the region of interest (RoI), which contains watermark information, in the camera-shooting image by analyzing the local statistical characteristics. Meanwhile, AWD extracts the hidden watermark from the identified RoI after applying perspective correction. Compared with previous works, the proposed scheme is fully automatic, making it ideal for application scenarios. Furthermore, the proposed scheme is not limited to any specific watermark embedding strategy, allowing for improvements in the watermark embedding and extraction procedure. Extensive experimental results and analysis show that the embedded watermark can be automatically and reliably extracted from the camera-shooting image in different scenarios, demonstrating the superiority and applicability of the proposed approach.

    Abstract Rationale: Previous studies have shown that acetaminophen has the potential to induce hepatotoxicity in patients, rendering it a prominent drug implicated in the development of acute hepatic failure. However, there is currently no available literature reporting the impact of ibuprofen-sustained release capsules on liver failure.
    Patient concerns: A 65-year-old man was presented with a 4-day history of tea-colored urine with oil avoidance, jaundiced skin, and anorexia, and impaired liver function. One ibuprofen-sustained release capsule was taken on the day before the onset of the disease due to "headache."
    Diagnoses: A diagnosis of this patient was made of liver failure due to taking ibuprofen-sustained release capsules.
    Interventions: Initially, the patient discontinued the use of hepatotoxic drugs in order to prevent further exposure. Subsequently, the patient underwent a standard therapeutic regimen, which encompassed the administration of hepatoprotective agents, nutritional support drugs, correction of acid-base imbalances, and electrolyte abnormalities, as well as other relevant treatments.
    Outcomes: After 9 days of hepatoprotective and nutritional supplement therapy, the patient saw notable improvement in symptoms, reporting an absence of discomfort, subsided skin jaundice, clear urine, and liver function tests returning to a near normal range. The patient was granted permission to be discharged from the hospital while being prescribed drugs. After 2 weeks of follow-up, the patient reported an absence of discomfort and exhibited normal results in the liver function test.
    Conclusions: Liver failure caused by ibuprofen-sustained release capsules has not been reported. It is worth noting that conventional treatments such as suspending offending agents, and administration of hepatoprotective agents and nutritional support drugs have proven to be successful.
    Lesson: There is currently no known peer-reviewed literature indicating that the administration of ibuprofen-sustained release capsules leads to liver failure. When patients taking ibuprofen-sustained release capsules encounter symptoms such as anorexia, skin jaundice, lack of appetite, and nausea, it is recommended that they undertake a cardiac and liver function tests. In the event that ibuprofen-sustained release capsules induce liver injury, it is imperative to administer timely and immediate medical intervention.
