Abstract Background: Physical activity significantly influences health-related behaviors, encompassing physical and mental well-being. Physical activity has been linked to enhancing health behavior, mental health, and psychological resilience. The current study is based on participants who were active in physical activity to improve health and well-being.
Objectives: To examine the influences of physical activity on health behavior, mental health, and psychological resilience, considering the moderating role of quality of life.
Method: A thorough cross-sectional online survey was conducted from April 15, 2023, to October 15, 2023. The survey was comprehensive and lasted for six months. The online poll received more than one thousand responses under convenience sampling. The selection criteria for the study were above 21 years old, and participants were active in physical activity to improve health and well-being. The collected data were analyzed using appropriate statistical SPSS-25 and SmartPLS 4.0 software to investigate the proposed research paradigm.
Results: SEM results of model 1 (direct coefficients) show that PA has a positive effect on HeB, MeH, PsR, HeB on MeH, HeB on PsR. Out of six (in model 2), four moderating effects of QOL were significant, and two were statistically insignificant.
Conclusion: It has been observed that the quality of life has a moderating role in the relationships between physical exercise and several aspects, such as psychological resilience, mental health, and health-related behavior. It is imperative to emphasize the importance of fostering consistent engagement in physical activity to cultivate a well-balanced and health-conscious way of life.

Abstract Found in many fruits and plants, Ursolic acid (UA), a pentacyclic triterpene that occurs naturally, is recognized for its anti-cancer effects, especially in combating glioblastoma. However, the intricate molecular mechanisms underpinning its anti-tumor actions are still not fully understood, despite the recognition of these effects. By examining the functions of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and angiogenesis, crucial for glioblastoma progression, and their regulation through Transforming Growth Factor Beta (TGFβ) - a key marker for glioblastoma, our research aims to fill this knowledge gap. This study explores how ursolic acid can block the progression of glioblastoma by precisely targeting TGFβ-triggered EMT and angiogenesis. The findings show that UA successfully blocks the spread, movement, and invasion of glioblastoma cells. Accompanying this, there is a significant reduction in the expression of TGFβ and crucial EMT indicators like snail and vimentin. Furthermore, UA shows a reduction in angiogenesis that depends on the dosage, highlighted by decreased vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). Interestingly, increased TGFβ expression in U87 and U251 glioblastoma cell lines was found to weaken UA's anti-tumor properties, shedding more light on TGFβ's critical function in glioblastoma's pathology. Supporting these laboratory results, UA also showed considerable inhibition of tumor growth in a glioblastoma xenograft mouse model. Overall, our research emphasizes Ursolic acid's promise as a new treatment for glioblastoma and clarifies its action mechanism, mainly by inhibiting TGFβ signaling and thereby EMT and angiogenesis.

Abstract Objective: To investigate the clinical value of the expression levels of tumor protein D52 (TPD52) and miR-133a on the prognosis assessment of pancreatic cancer surgery.
Methods: This was a retrospective study. Ninety-seven patients who underwent radical surgery for pancreatic cancer in Cangzhou Central Hospital from January 2018 to January 2022 were selected and divided into four groups: TPD52 high expression group, TPD52 low expression group, miR-133a high expression group and miR-133a low expression group. The relationship between the expression levels of TPD52 and miR-133a and the clinicopathological features of patients with pancreatic cancer was analyzed. The COX regression model was used to analyze the risk factors affecting the prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer.
Results: The high expression rate of TPD52 and the low expression rate of miR-133a in pancreatic cancer tissues were higher than those in normal paracancerous tissues(P<0.05). Based on the comparison of prognosis and survival, the median survival time of patients with high expression of TPD52 and low expression of miR-133a was lower than that of patients with low expression of TPD52 and high expression of miR-133a, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05). Moreover, multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that low differentiation of pancreatic cancer, III-IV stage of TNM, high expression of TPD52, as well as low expression of miR-133a were independent risk factors for postoperative survival of patients with pancreatic cancer(P<0.05).
Conclusion: TPD52 is expressed at a high level whereas miR-133a at a low level in pancreatic cancer tissues, both of which together with low differentiation of pancreatic cancer and III-IV stage of TNM constitute independent risk factors affecting the surgical prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer.

Abstract A growing class of small RNAs, known as tRNA-derived RNAs (tdRs), tRNA-derived small RNAs or tRNA-derived fragments, have long been considered mere intermediates of tRNA degradation. These small RNAs have recently been implicated in an evolutionarily conserved repertoire of biological processes. In this Review, we discuss the biogenesis and molecular functions of tdRs in mammals, including tdR-mediated gene regulation in cell metabolism, immune responses, transgenerational inheritance, development and cancer. We also discuss the accumulation of tRNA-derived stress-induced RNAs as a distinct adaptive cellular response to pathophysiological conditions. Furthermore, we highlight new conceptual advances linking RNA modifications with tdR activities and discuss challenges in studying tdR biology in health and disease.

Abstract China’s outbreak related to cold-chain aquatic product quality and safety in 2020 caused public panic and further led to a crisis in China’s aquatic industry. This paper uses topic clustering and emotion analysis methods to text-mine the comments of netizens on Sina Weibo to study the main features of the public’s views on the administration’s crisis management measures and to provide experience for future imported food safety management. The findings show that for the imported food safety incident and the risk of virus infection, the public response had four types of characteristics: a higher proportion of negative emotion; a wider range of information demand; attention paid to the whole imported food industry chain; and a differentiated attitude towards control policies. Based on the online public response, countermeasures to further improve the management ability of imported food safety crises are proposed as follows: the government should pay active attention to the development trend of online public opinion; work more on exploring the content of public concern and emotion; strengthen the risk assessment of imported food and establish the classification and management measures of imported food safety events; construct the imported food safety traceability system; build a special recall mechanism for imported food safety; and improve the cooperation between government and media, enhancing the public’s trust in policies.

Abstract To protect the ancient wood against water destroy, the waterborne polyurethane was modified siloxane and then painted on the wood surface. The coated surface was characterized and the surface physical and mechanical properties were tested. The results showed that the siloxane can be grafted onto the polyurethane by reacting between Si-OH groups and the end N=C=O groups. Thus, after coating on the wood surface, a network structure was formed for improvements. The polyurethane can form a layer of film on the wood surface while the siloxane can help to make a smooth coating film owing to the improved interfacial adhesion. With the increase of siloxane content, the surface became better with improved water contact angle, swelling dimensional stability, and hardness. At 3 wt% siloxane, the surface properties of the wood showed high water repellency and acceptable mechanical properties, which can be used for ancient timber protection.

Abstract Background: Local inflammatory reaction is the basis of wound healing. Inappropriate inflammatory reaction will delay wound healing.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of silver-containing dressings combined with hydrogel on healing of immunosuppression-induced skin ulcerations (IISU).
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 48 cases of patients with IISU admitted to The First People's Hospital of Jiande from March 2018 to March 2019. According to the different treatment methods, the patients were divided into the observation group and the control group, with 24 cases in each group. Patients in the observation group were treated with silver-containing dressings combined with hydrogel, while patients in the control group were treated with silver-containing dressings alone. Initially, patients in the observation group and control group were treated with the same method of debridement and cleaning. Afterwards, for patients in the observation group, the wounded surface was coated with a layer of hydrogel. Both groups had the wound covered with a silver-containing dressing as the inner dressing, and gauze was used as the outer dressing to wrap and fix the wound. The dressing change frequency was the same for both groups. The effective rate, basic healing rate, and complete healing rate of the two groups were compared after one week and two weeks of treatment.
Results: The effective rate of dressing application and wound healing rate in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P< 0.05).
Conclusion: A silver-containing dressing combined with hydrogel as the inner dressing can provide a better environment for wound healing, significantly shorten the course of treatment of patients with IISU, promote the early recovery of patients, and improve the quality of life of patients. Therefore, it can be applied in clinical practice.

Abstract Upgraded technology has realized miniaturization and promoted transformation in each field. Miniaturized light-emitting diode (LED) chips enable higher resolution and create a full sense of immersion in displays. Porous GaN is a structure that can reduce excitation light leakage and enhance the light conversion efficiency. Perovskite quantum dots with the highest optical density as candidate materials for loading in pores can significantly decrease the aggregation phenomenon and increase the path of light absorption. Here, the porous tunability is explored by electrochemical etching under a range of voltages, concentrations, and etching times with acid and base electrolytes, such as oxalic acid and potassium hydroxide. Based on scanning electron microscopy images, the distribution of the pores and the morphology of pore channels can be distinguished under acid and base etching. Larger pore sizes and distorted channels (∼680 nm) are presented on the oxalic acid-etched GaN chip. In contrast, smaller pore sizes and straight-deeper channels (∼5650 nm) are demonstrated on the GaN by potassium hydroxide etching. Therefore, the hybrid nanostructure is etched by oxalic acid and potassium hydroxide, separately. The green and red light conversion efficiencies of perovskite quantum dots pumped by a blue LED can be improved by 3 and 10 times, respectively, resulting in a color gamut of approximately 124%.
