Abstract Atmospheric nitrate (NO₃⁻) produced by photochemical oxidation in the atmosphere has high oxygen isotope ratios (δ¹⁸O values). Recently, the primary NO₃⁻ emitted from combustion sources was found to have much lower δ¹⁸O values. However, it is unclear how and to what extents the low δ¹⁸O signatures were controlled by major O sources during the primary NO₃⁻ formation of combustion processes. Here, we first measured concentrations and δ¹⁸O values of NO₃⁻ from burning five biomass materials (bb-NO₃⁻ and δ¹⁸Obb₋NO₃₋, respectively) in China. Distinctly higher concentration levels of the bb-NO₃⁻ emissions (42.1 ± 8.1 μmol m⁻³) than ambient NO₃⁻ suggest it is a potential source of atmospheric NO₃⁻ pollution. Much lower δ¹⁸Obb₋NO₃₋ signatures (27.6 ± 2.7 ‰) than ambient NO₃⁻ support it as a primary emission source with different O sources and formation mechanism from secondary NO₃⁻. Isotope mass-balance modeling revealed that atmospheric O₂ and the biomass O dominated the O of bb-NO₃⁻ (53 ± 7 % and 40 ± 4 %, respectively) over the aqueous vapor (7 ± 3 %). Besides, we found increasing δ¹⁸Obb₋NO₃₋ values with the biomass N contents and relatively lower δ¹⁸Obb₋NO₃₋ values for biomasses with higher carbon (C) and lower O contents, indicating that biomass C, N, and O contents may influence the source O contributions of the bb-NO₃⁻. This work provides a novel isotope analysis on the O source contribution of the bb-NO₃⁻, which is useful for understanding the formation mechanism of combustion-related NO₃⁻ sources and evaluating the primary NO₃⁻ emissions.

Abstract The mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and dementia in rural areas are increasingly attracting public attention. However, their prevalence is still unclear. This study aims to reveal the distribution of MCI and dementia in rural areas. We systematically searched PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and PsycINFO up to June 2023 for cohort and cross-sectional studies. Meta-analysis was conducted using random-effects models to evaluate the prevalence of MCI and dementia. Thirty-five studies with 16,936 participants met the inclusion criteria. The pooled prevalence of MCI and dementia was 27 % (n = 12, 95 %CI = 0.21-0.32, I

Abstract Aims: This study aims to investigate the mediating role of regulatory emotional self-efficacy and self-compassion in the relationship among anxiety, depression, body image distress and subjective well-being among women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
    Design: A cross-sectional study.
Methods: The study recruited 510 women with polycystic ovary syndrome from a tertiary hospital affiliated with a university in Hunan Province, China. The study employed several tools to collect data, including the Generalized Anxiety Scale, the Patient Health Questionnaire-9, the Body Image States Scale, the Self-Compassion Scale, the Regulatory Emotional Self-Efficacy Scale and the Index of Well-being questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis, spearman correlation analysis, ordinary least squares regression and bootstrapping.
Results: The study's findings indicate that regulatory emotional self-efficacy and self-compassion both act as mediators in the connection between anxiety, depression, body image distress and subjective well-being among women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
Conclusion: The study emphasizes the significance of regulatory emotional self-efficacy and self-compassion in promoting well-being among women with polycystic ovary syndrome. It also implies that interventions targeted at enhancing these factors could potentially enhance the subjective well-being of women affected by PCOS.
Impact: Our study's primary contribution is to underscore the crucial mediating roles of regulatory emotional self-efficacy and self-compassion in the relationship among anxiety, depression, body image distress and subjective well-being. Our study indicates that clinical practitioners should prioritize improving the regulatory emotional self-efficacy and self-compassion of women with polycystic ovary syndrome, reducing their anxiety, depression and body image distress and improving their subjective well-being.
Reporting method: This study was reported according to the Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research (SRQR).
Patient or public contribution: No patient or public contribution outside of participation in the actual study for purposes of data collection.

Abstract This paper summarized the effect of Huolong cupping and moxibustion technology in treating a patient with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, and summarized related nursing measures. Based on the traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome differentiation, the Huolong cupping and moxibustion technology on selected acupoint and meridians was applied. Holistic nursing interventions on daily life, exercise, dietary and mental health were carried out during the treatment. The Huolong cupping and moxibustion technology combined with holistic nursing are effective to relieve the neck and shoulder pain, numbness of arm and other symptoms of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.
