    Abstract Objective. To study the first aid and nursing methods of patients with coal gas poisoning and explore the nursing effect. Method. The clinical data of 50 patients with carbon monoxide poisoning admitted to the emergency department of our hospital from February 2011 to August 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients with severe toxic pulmonary edema were selected as the sample population, and all patients were equally divided by drawing lots. The two groups were divided into the study group and control group. The patients in the control group were given routine nursing intervention, while the patients in the study group were given routine nursing intervention. After the timely treatment of doctors in our hospital and the careful nursing of nursing staff, 45 patients in 50 patients were cured and discharged; 3 patients died of asphyxia due to long poisoning time. Two patients died of severe complications. Result. The total effective rate and oxygenation index of the study group were significantly different from those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion. In the clinical nursing work of patients with severe carbon monoxide toxic pulmonary edema, the nursing effect of emergency cluster therapy is ideal. Patients with carbon monoxide poisoning have obvious age, gender, poisoning causes, and seasonal characteristics. It is an important means to carry out targeted publicity and education in daily life and take effective preventive measures to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Once poisoning occurs, timely treatment should be carried out, and careful nursing should be provided to help patients get rid of the danger.

    Abstract Resonant dielectric metasurfaces have been demonstrated to hold a great promise for manipulation of light-wave dispersion at the nanoscale due to their resonant photonic environment and high refractive index. However, the efficiency of devices based on dielectric nanostructures is usually limited by the quality ( Q ) factor of their resonant modes. The physics of the bound sates in the continuum (BICs) provide an elegant solution for control over the Q factor of resonant modes. Here, by engineering the substrate of Si-based metasurfaces, we demonstrate two eigenmodes that exhibit an intrinsic magnetic dipole (MD)character and have an infinite radiation lifetime. We reveal that they are characterized by in-plane and out-of-plane MD modes and respectively correspond to two groups of BICs, that is, Fabry–Pérot BICs and symmetry-protected BICs. Using temporal coupled-mode theory and numerical simulations, we show that these BIC modes can transform into high- Q quasi-BIC resonances with near-unity absorption under normal incidence through tuning structural parameters. Our work provides a promising route to use BIC-inspired metasurfaces for designing ultra-narrowband absorbers which can be used as absorption filters, photodetectors, and sensors.

    Abstract Identifying the grade of Gastrodia elata in the market has low efficiency and accuracy. To address this issue, an I-YOLOX object detection algorithm based on deep learning and computer vision is proposed in this paper. First, six types of Gastrodia elata images of different grades in the Gastrodia elata planting cooperative were collected for image enhancement and labeling as the model training dataset. Second, to improve feature information extraction, an ECA attention mechanism module was inserted between the backbone network CSPDarknet and the neck enhancement feature extraction network FPN in the YOLOX model. Then, the impact of the attention mechanism and application position on model improvement was investigated. Third, the 3 × 3 convolution in the neck enhancement feature extraction network FPN and the head network was replaced by depthwise separable convolution (DS Conv) to reduce the model size and computation amount. Finally, the EIoU loss function was used to predict boundary frame regression at the output prediction end to improve the convergence speed of the model. The experimental results indicated that compared with the original YOLOX model, the mean average precision of the improved I-YOLOX network model was increased by 4.86% (97.83%), the model computation was reduced by 5.422 M (reaching 3.518 M), the model size was reduced by 20.6 MB (reaching 13.7 MB), and the image frames detected per second increased by 3 (reaching 69). Compared with other target detection algorithms, the improved model outperformed Faster R-CNN, SSD-VGG, YOLOv3s, YOLOv4s, YOLOv5s, and YOLOv7 algorithms in terms of mean average precision, model size, computation amount, and frames per second. The lightweight model improved the detection accuracy and speed of different grades of Gastrodia elata and provided a theoretical basis for the development of online identification systems of different grades of Gastrodia elata in practical production.

    Abstract ABSTRACTPeople often simultaneously expose to acceptable/tolerable daily intake of food additives and pesticides in daily life. Exposure in adult rodents to acceptable/tolerable daily intake of food additives and pesticides chemical mixtures (AFACM) is reported to cause health damage. Our recently study reported that AFACM exposure of pregnant mice resulted in neuroinflammation and abnormal emotional behaviours in offspring. Here, we found that neutralising IFN-γ with neutralising antibodies completely blocked the influences induced by maternal AFACM exposure, including the increased IFN-γ level in serum, increased IFN-γ, interleukin-6 and tumour necrosis factor-α levels in prefrontal cortex(PFC) in offspring on postnatal day(PND)7, the abnormal emotional behaviours in offspring on PND56, and the decreased of ATPase phospholipid flippase 8A2(ATP8A2) in the PFC of offspring on PND7. In sum, maternal AFACM exposure induced the PFC neuroinflammation, abnormal emotional behaviours and decreased PFC ATP8A2 expression through increasing systemic IFN-γ in offspring.

    Abstract Objective To investigate the association between gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) risk. Methods This was a secondary analysis based on a publicly available DRYAD dataset that included 15 444 study participants that received medical examinations at a single centre in Japan between 2004 and 2015. Crude, minimally-adjusted and fully-adjusted regression models were used to evaluate the relationship between GGT levels and T2DM risk. Results The study participants (mean ± SD age of 43.72 ± 8.90 years; 8415 of 15 444 [54.49%] were male) were followed-up for a median of 1968 days (5.39 years). After adjusting for potential covariates, a non-linear relationship between the baseline GGT level and T2DM incidence was observed. The inflection point for T2DM risk was 10 IU/l GGT; below this point, the T2DM incidence increased by 1.18-fold per unit change in GGT. Above this point, the association between GGT and the incidence rate of T2DM became nonsignificant. Conclusion Baseline GGT exhibited a non-linear association with T2DM incidence. Elevated GGT levels should be incorporated into routine screening for individuals at high risk of T2DM, allowing for early intervention targeting GGT to potentially reduce T2DM-related morbidity.

    Abstract Abstract Nanocomposite modification has attracted much attention in improving properties of bio-based polymer coating material for coated fertilizer. Herein two comparable polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS), with eight poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and octaphenyl groups attached to the cage, respectively, were successfully incorporated into thin castor oil-based polyurethane coatings via in-situ polymerization on the urea surface. The nanostructure coatings are environmentally friendly, easy to prepare, and property-tunable. The results show that the vertex group of POSS had a pronounced influence on dispersion level and interaction between polyurethane and POSS that well-tuned the release pattern and period of coated urea, even at the coating rate as low as of 2 wt%. The liquid POSS with long and flexible PEG groups had better compatibility and dispersibility in polyurethane matrix than the solid POSS with rigid octaphenyl groups, as evidenced by SEM/EDS. The unique properties were resulted from the different extents of physical crosslinkings. This modification of bio-based polyurethane coating with POSS provided an alternative method of regulating and controlling the properties of coated fertilizer.

    Abstract Clubroot caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae led to a significant decrease in the yield and quality of B rassica napus , one of the most important oil crops in the world. JAZ proteins are an essential repressor of jasmonates (JAs) signaling cascades, which have been reported to regulate the resistance to P. brassicae in B . napus . In this study, we identified 51, 25 and 26 JAZ proteins in B. napus , B. rapa and B. oleracea , respectively. Phylogenetic analysis displayed that the notedJAZ proteins were divided into six groups. The JAZ proteins clustered in the same group shared a similar motif composition and distribution order. The 51 BnaJAZs were not evenly assigned on seventeen chromosomes in B. napus , except for A04 and C07. The BnaJAZs of the AtJAZ7 / AtJAZ8 group presented themselves to be significantly up-regulated after inoculation by P. brassicae . Variation analysis in a population with a specific resistance performance in P. brassicae displayed a 64 bp translocation in BnaC03T0663300ZS ( BnaJAZ8.C03 , homologous to AtJAZ8 ) with an 8% reduction in the disease index on average. Through protein–protein interaction analysis, 65 genes were identified that might be involved in JAZ8 regulation of resistance to P. brassicae in B. napus , which provided new clues for understanding the resistance mechanism to P. brassicae .

    Abstract Fretting wear phenomenon has a non-negligible impact on the reliability of the contact parts of mechanical power systems. The impact of temperature increases in actual working conditions is taken into consideration in order to increase the accuracy of fretting wear prediction. Temperature-dependent wear coefficients were added to the energy dissipation wear model, and the UMESHMOTION subroutine was created. A temperature-displacement-coupled finite element model of fretting wear is established based on a cylinder/plane fretting test of Ti-6Al-4V alloy materials. The model takes into account the interaction between temperature, stress, and wear. The effects of the plastic deformation of materials, temperature, number of cycles, fretting velocity, and variable normal load on wear and temperature rise are explored. The results show that the wear amount is small when the temperature rises, and the plastic deformation of materials is not considered. The wear profile is no longer a smooth Hertzian shape when the plastic deformation of materials is considered. The amount of wear increases with the fretting speed and the number of cycles. Meanwhile, the temperature of the contact area and the surface near the contact area increases with the increase in fretting speed. Peak temperature rise of the contact surface increases with the number of cycles, and its horizontal position moves with the cylinder specimen. Furthermore, the wear profile is less smooth under the variable normal load, but the two variable normal loads in the same phase have similar wear profiles and temperature rise distributions. The theoretical resources provided by the research work can be used to design control strategies and optimize mechanical power systems.

    Abstract Background. Administration of antenatal corticosteroids (ACSs) is an effective strategy for managing preterm infants, which improves neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS) and attenuates the risk of neonatal mortality. However, many preterm infants are not exposed to a complete course of ACS administration, and the effects of different ACS-to-delivery intervals on NRDS and respiratory support remain unclear. Therefore, this study explored the relationship between ACS-to-birth intervals and NRDS and respiratory support in preterm infants. Methods. In this retrospective cohort study, the preterm infants born between 240/7 and 316/7 wks of gestation were recruited from January 2015 to July 2021. All participants were categorised based on the time interval from the first ACS dose to delivery: <24 h, 1-2 d, 2–7 d, and >7 d. Multivariable logistic regression analysis examined the relationships between the ACS-to-birth interval and primary or secondary outcome while adjusting for potential confounders. Results. Of the 706 eligible neonates, 264, 83, 292, and 67 received ACS-to-delivery intervals of <24 h, 1-2 d, 2–7 d, and >7 d, respectively. After adjusting these confounding factors, the multivariable logistic analysis showed a significantly increased risk of NRDS (aOR: 1.8, 95% CI: 1.2–2.7), neonatal mortality (aOR: 2.8, 95% CI: 1.1–6.8), the need for surfactant use (aOR: 2.7, 95% CI: 1.7–4.4), endotracheal intubation in the delivery room (aOR: 1.9, 95% CI: 1.0–3.7), and mechanical ventilation (aOR: 1.9, 95% CI: 1.1–3.4) in the ACS-to-delivery interval of <24 h group when compared with the ACS-to-birth interval of 2–7 d group. Conclusions. Neonatal outcomes such as NRDS, neonatal mortality, the need for surfactant use, intubation in the delivery room, and the risk of mechanical ventilation are higher when the neonates are exposed to an ACS interval for less than 24 h before delivery.

    Abstract The Qiongdongnan Basin is an important gas hydrate exploration area in the South China Sea, but the gas hydrate accumulation process is poorly understood. By selecting an Lingshui (LS) target area and using first-hand geochemical data, three-dimensional seismic data, and an independent thermal insulation and pressure maintaining shipborne core analysis system, in this study, comprehensive geological evaluation was carefully conducted around the gas source and reservoir of the gas chimney hydrates, and the accumulation process was investigated. Geochemical data for a total of 47 sets of gas samples revealed that the gas source of the hydrates in the study area was mainly thermogenic gas supplemented by mixed gas. It was predicted that the contribution of the thermogenic gas to the hydrate accumulation was up to 70%. Using the independent shipborne core analysis system, the characteristics of the low-temperature combustible gas hydrates were determined, and the reservoir in the study area was characterized as non-diagenetic to weakly diagenetic, rich in clay and silt (D50 = 15.1–34.1 μm), weakly self-sustaining, and strongly heterogeneous. Based on the differentiated seismic response of the hydrate layer-gas bearing hydrate layer-shallow gas layer at the top of the gas chimney, the accumulation process in the target area was determined to be as follows: remote thermogenic gas transportation, local microbial genetic gas accumulation, episodic dynamic gas chimney reservoir formation, and source-reservoir control. In addition, the exploration ideas of an effective supply from a gas source and a shallow large-scale sand body are emphasized. The results of this study provide an important reference for the trial production of natural gas hydrates in the South China Sea.
