    Abstract The Routledge Handbook of Translation and Education will present the state of the art of the place and role of translation in educational contexts worldwide.     Abstract Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is an uncommon mature B cell lymphoma which presents a clinical spectrum ranging from indolent to aggressive disease, with challenges in disease management and prognostication. MCL is characterized by significant genomic instability, affecting various cellular processes including cell cycle regulation, cell survival, DNA damage response and telomere maintenance, NOTCH and NF-kB/BCR pathways and chromatin modification. Recent molecular and next-generation sequencing studies unveiled a broad genetic diversity among the two molecular subsets, conventional (cMCL) and leukemic non-nodal (nnMCL), which may partially explain their clinical heterogeneity. Some asymptomatic and genetically stable nnMCL not requiring treatment at diagnosis may eventually progress clinically. Overall, high proliferation of tumor cells, blastoid morphology, TP53 and/or CDKN2A/B inactivation, and a high genetic complexity influence treatment outcome in cases treated with standard regimens. Emerging targeted and immunotherapeutic strategies are promising in refractory or relapsed cases and a few genetic and non-genetic determinants of refractoriness have been reported. This review summarizes recent advances in MCL biology, focusing on molecular insights, prognostic markers, and novel therapeutic approaches.

    Abstract Lipids exert their cellular functions in individual organelles, in some cases on the scale of even smaller, specialized membrane domains. Thus, the experimental capacity to precisely manipulate lipid levels at the subcellular level is crucial for studying lipid-related processes in cell biology. Photo-caged lipid probes which partition into specific cellular membranes prior to photoactivation have emerged as key tools for localized and selective perturbation of lipid concentration in living cells. In this review, we provide an overview of the recent advances in the area and outline which developments are still required for the methodology to be more widely implemented in the wider membrane biology community.

    Abstract Introduction: SARS COVID-19 pandemic resulted in major changes to how daily life was conducted. Health officials instituted policies to decelerate the spread of the virus, resulting in changes in physical activity patterns of school-aged children. The aim of this study was to utilize a wearable activity monitor to assess ambulatory activity in elementary-school aged children in their home environment during a COVID-19 Stay-at-Home mandate.
    Methods: This institutional review board approved research study was performed between April 3rd - May 1st of 2020 during which health officials issued several stay-at-home (shelter-in-place) orders. Participant recruitment was conducted using a convenience sample of 38 typically developing children. Participants wore a StepWatch Activity Monitor for one week and data were downloaded and analyzed to assess global ambulatory activity measures along with ambulatory bout intensity/duration. For comparison purposes, SAM data collected before the pandemic, of a group of 27 age-matched children from the same region of the United States, was included. Statistical analyses were performed comparing SAM variables between children abiding by a stay-at-home mandate (Stay-at-Home) versus the Historical cohort (alpha=0.05).
    Results: Stay-at-Home cohort took on average 3737 fewer daily total steps compared to the Historical cohort (p<0.001). Daily Total Ambulatory Time (TAT), across all days was significantly lower in the Stay-at-Home cohort compared to the Historical cohort (mean difference: 81.9 minutes, p=0.001). The Stay-at-Home cohort spent a significantly higher percentage of TAT in Easy intensity ambulatory activity (mean difference: 2%, p<0.001) and therefore a significantly lower percentage of TAT in Moderate+ intensity (mean difference: 2%, p<0.001).
    Conclusions: The stay-at-home mandates resulted in lower PA levels in elementary school-aged children, beyond global measures to also bout intensity/duration. It appears that in-person school is a major contributor to achieving higher levels of PA and our study provides additional data for policymakers to consider for future decisions.

    Abstract Background: New interventions based on motor learning principles and neural plasticity have been tested among patients with ataxia and hemiparesis. Therapies of pedaling exercises have also shown their potential to induce improvements in muscle activity, strength, and balance. Virtual reality (VR) has been demonstrated as an effective tool for improving the adherence to physical therapy, but it is still undetermined if it promotes greater improvements than conventional therapy.
    Objective: Our objective was to compare the effect on lower limb range of motion (ROM) when using VR technology for cycling exercise versus not using VR technology.
    Methods: A randomized controlled trial with 20 patients with ataxia and hemiparesis was carried out. The participants were divided into 2 groups: the experimental group (n=10, 50%) performed pedaling exercises using the VR system and the control group (n=10, 50%) performed pedaling exercises without using VR. Measurements of the active and passive ROM of the hip and knee joint were taken before and after a cycling intervention, which consisted of 3 sessions of the same duration but with progressively increasing speeds (4, 5, and 6 km/h). Repeated measures ANOVAs were conducted to compare the preintervention (Ti) and postintervention (Te) assessments within each group. Additionally, the improvement effect of using the VR system was analyzed by comparing the variation coefficient (Δ = 1 - [Te / Ti]) between the preintervention and postintervention assessments for each group. Group comparisons were made using independent 1-tailed t tests.
    Results: Significant improvements were shown in active left hip flexion (P=.03) over time, but there was no group-time interaction effect (P=.67). Passive left hip flexion (P=.93) did not show significant improvements, and similar results were observed for active and passive right hip flexion (P=.39 and P=.83, respectively). Neither assessments of knee flexion (active left: P=.06; passive left: P=.76; active right: P=.34; passive right: P=.06) nor knee extension showed significant changes (active left: P=.66; passive left: P=.92; active right: P=.12; passive right: P=.38). However, passive right knee extension (P=.04) showed a significant improvement over time. Overall, although active and passive ROM of the knee and hip joints showed a general improvement, no statistically significant differences were found between the groups.
    Conclusions: In this study, participants who underwent the cycling intervention using the VR system showed similar improvement in lower limb ROM to the participants who underwent conventional training. Ultimately, the VR system can be used to engage participants in physical activity.
