    Abstract The successful implementation of urban resilience strategies is of utmost importance in order to reduce susceptibility and bolster resilience in the face of climate change consequences. The current understanding of the efficacy of different resilience strategies in mitigating vulnerability and bolstering urban resilience is lacking, despite its significance. This study assesses the efficacy of resilience strategies in mitigating vulnerability and enhancing urban resilience. We conducted a comprehensive analysis of scholarly literature published in English following PRISMA criteria from January 2001 to July 2023. Finally, 116 articles met the inclusion criteria and were selected for in-depth analysis. Results indicate that while resilience strategies have the potential to reduce susceptibility and enhance urban resilience, the effectiveness of resilience techniques is contingent upon various factors, such as the type of hazard, urban setting, and implementation process. The study also highlights the significance of stakeholder involvement, community participation, and adaptive management as essential components for effectively implementing resilience measures. Integrating physical, social, and institutional components in resilience practices demonstrated notable effectiveness. This study also reveals that improving the physical resilience of urban areas and strengthening their social and institutional capabilities to address and learn from disruptive events and pressures can decrease their vulnerability. The research also exposes those strategies focusing solely on mitigating a single issue, such as physical infrastructure, while neglecting social or institutional elements, which prove less effective. A comprehensive approach, incorporating institutional, social, and physical measures, should be designed to achieve maximal efficacy in mitigating vulnerability and strengthening urban resilience.

    Abstract Based on the related research results of the relationship between cognitive neural mechanism and music in recent years. In this paper, we study the relationship between the cognitive neurons and music from the overlapping and separation of brain neuro-mechanism and the significance of functional relationships between the two. Through analysis, it can be seen that the cognitive neural mechanism has a certain influence on music appreciation and learning and the studies on brain-damaged patients show that the two may have separate and independent neural bases. Finally, we find the influence of sub-consciousness on decision making through the measurement of SCRs (skin conductance responses), and thus propose a decision model modified by subconscious and make an outlook for future research trends.

    Abstract Skeleton builders were normally deemed to improve the high porosity and newly-generated permeability of sludge cakes by building water transfer channel during high pressure filtration, thus enhancing sludge dewaterability. However, currently a direct visualization proof of water transfer channel was still lacking. This study provided the direct proof for visualizing water transfer channel in dewatered sludge cakes conditioned with a typical skeleton builder (i.e., phosphogypsum (PG)) by X-ray micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) for the first time. After the addition of PG, the pixel value and image luminance increased significantly, indicating the presence of high density substances from both two-dimensional (2D) cross section and three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction CT images. Moreover, the CT numbers showed strong and negative correlations with specific resistance to filtration (SRF) (R = - 0.99, p < 0.05), capillary suction time (CST) (regression coefficient (R) = - 0.87, probability (p) < 0.05), and water content of the dewatered sludge cake (R = - 0.99, p < 0.05), respectively. These results indicated that the X-ray micro-CT could be a potential technique for analyzing the water distribution in sludge samples conditioned with skeleton builders.

    Abstract In response to the epochal demand for high-quality development in early childhood education in China, it is imperative and necessary to improve the competency level of early childhood educators. The study aims to investigate the relationship between psychological contracts and teacher competency, and to verify the mediating roles of job crafting and professional identity in the relationship between psychological contracts and teacher competency. This study employed validated measurement scales regarding psychological contracts, teachers' professional identity, job crafting, and teacher competency. Each of these scales has established internal consistency coefficients. Data were collected from 318 early childhood teachers in Sichuan, China. The results highlight the significant impact of psychological contracts on the prediction of teacher competency. It is worth mentioning that the psychological contracts, together with their distinct components such as normative responsibility and development responsibility, have a direct and favorable impact on teacher competency. This implies that developing the psychological contracts might be an effective technique for improving teacher competence. The individual mediation of job crafting and professional identity in the link between psychological contracts and teacher competency has been well-established. However, the combined or chain mediating influence of these factors provides a unique and valuable perspective on the phenomenon of job crafting leading to professional identity, which in turn impacts teacher competency. The study found that psychological contracts have a positive predictive effect on teacher competency, while job crafting and professional identity both have independent and chain mediating roles in the relationship between psychological contracts and teacher competency. Therefore, this study suggests a comprehensive enhancement of the psychological contracts level from aspects such as normative responsibility, interpersonal responsibility, and development responsibility. By stimulating job crafting and professional identity levels in both internal and external environments, we can improve the competency level of early childhood educators.

    Abstract Background: The chromodomain helicase DNA-binding (CHD) family, a group of genes that regulate nucleosome spacing and access to transcription factors, contributes to tumorigenesis in various cancers. However, the roles of CHD family members in lung cancer remain poorly understood.
    Methods: We investigated the transcriptional, survival, and immune data of CHDs in patients with lung cancer from the Oncomine, UALCAN, GEPIA, Kaplan-Meier Plotter, TCGA, TIMER, cBioPortal, and CR2Cancer databases. Then, perform functional enrichment analysis of CHDs was performed using the Metascape. Finally, the expression of CHD7, CHD8 and DNA damage response genes were evaluated by quantitative real-time PCR and western blot.The effects of CHD7 or CHD8 knockdown on A549 and PC9 cells were measured in vitro by flow cytometry, cell viability and colony formation assays.
    Results: We found that except for CHD5, nearly all members of CHDs in lung cancer showed altered expression compared with adjacent normal tissues. Moreover, the abnormal expression levels of CHDs were related to the clinical outcome of patients with lung adenocarcinoma and, to a lesser extent, patients with lung squamous cell carcinoma, which were significantly associated with the immune infiltrating levels of immune cells. Furthermore, the functions of CHDs and their neighboring genes are mainly related to DNA repair, the cell cycle, and organelle organization. Finally, cellular experiments conducted in vitro confirmed that CHD7/8 played indispensable roles in DNA damage signaling and cell cycle progression in lung adenocarcinoma cells.
    Conclusion: This study implied that CHD family members, especially in subclass III, are potential targets of precision therapy and new biomarkers for patients with lung cancer.

    Abstract The interstitial neurons in the white matter of the human and non-human primate cortex share a similar developmental origin with subplate neurons and deep-layer cortical neurons. A subset of interstitial neurons expresses the molecular markers of subplate neurons, but whether interstitial neurons express cortical layer markers in the adult human brain remains unexplored. Here we report the expression of cortical layer markers in interstitial neurons in the white matter of the adult human brain, supporting the hypothesis that interstitial neurons could be derived from cortical progenitor cells. Furthermore, we found increased non-phosphorylated neurofilament protein (NPNFP) expression in interstitial neurons in the white matter of drug-resistant epilepsy patients. We also identified the expression of glutamatergic and g-aminobutyric acid (GABAergic) synaptic puncta that were distributed in the perikarya and dendrites of interstitial neurons. The density of glutamatergic and GABAergic synaptic puncta was increased in interstitial neurons in the white matter of drug-resistant epilepsy patients compared with control brain tissues with no history of epilepsy. Together, our results provide important insights of the molecular identity of interstitial neurons in the adult human white matter. Increased synaptic density of interstitial neurons could result in an imbalanced synaptic network in the white matter and participate as part of the epileptic network in drug-resistant epilepsy.

    Abstract The quality of a country's education system is both an indicator of its present level of development and a predictor of future economic advancement. This study intended to explore the impact of the "expanding power and strengthening counties" reform on the supply of basic public education resources. A combination of qualitative and quantitative methods was used to analyze the panel data of 114 counties in Sichuan Province from 2005 to 2017, including 78 counties with expanded powers. The study found that the "expanded power strong counties (EPSC)" had a significant positive impact on the supply level of funding resources measured by per capita public education expenditure. The time effect of the EPSC on the supply of teacher resources for county public education was manifested as a sharp increase in the supply level in the three years before the reform. The supply level tended to be stable after four years of reform. The economic resources supply level was relatively stable in the first three years and rose sharply after four years. There was a downward trend after the reform for 8 years. The structural effect has shown a more significant incentive effect on the supply of public education resources to strong and weak counties. But compared with the weak counties with lower economic development levels, the strong counties with higher economic development levels have a more noticeable effect of their decentralization reform on improving the supply level of public education resources.

    Abstract This paper proposes an improved Bacterial Foraging Optimization for economically optimal dispatching of the microgrid. Three optimized steps are presented to solve the slow convergence, poor precision, and low efficiency of traditional Bacterial Foraging Optimization. First, the self-adaptive step size equation in the chemotaxis process is present, and the particle swarm velocity equation is used to improve the convergence speed and precision of the algorithm. Second, the crisscross algorithm is used to enrich the replication population and improve the global search performance of the algorithm in the replication process. Finally, the dynamic probability and sine-cosine algorithm are used to solve the problem of easy loss of high-quality individuals in dispersal. Quantitative analysis and experiments demonstrated the superiority of the algorithm in the benchmark function. In addition, this study built a multi-objective microgrid dynamic economic dispatch model and dealt with the uncertainty of wind and solar using the Monte Carlo method in the model. Experiments show that this model can effectively reduce the operating cost of the microgrid, improve economic benefits, and reduce environmental pollution. The economic cost is reduced by 3.79% compared to the widely used PSO, and the economic cost is reduced by 5.23% compared to the traditional BFO.
