Abstract Background: Present the relevance of the study and highlights the key points of literature overview. Purpose: As of May 25, 2018, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has become mandatory for all organizations, public or private, that handle personal data of European citizens, regardless of their physical location. Higher education institutions (HEIs), namely public universities, are no exception to this requirement and, as in many other organizations, many HEIs begin the process of implementing the GDPR without meeting the minimum conditions necessary for implementation. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to present a model to determine the level of readiness of HEIs regarding the implementation of the GDPR. Study design/methodology/approach: With the objective of designing a new artefact as a readiness model for the implementation of the GDPR, this study follows Design Science Research as an approach to be used to build the readiness model, based on a set of 16 critical success factors (CSFs) previously determined. Findings/conclusions: A readiness model was designed, based on a set of 16 CSFs related to the implementation of GDPR in HEIs. Limitations/future research: This is a new area of study that needs further development, namely through the practical application of the model, allowing the improvement of the measurement levels of the different CSFs. Practical implications: The determined readiness model allows HEIs to realize a priori if they have the necessary conditions for the implementation of the GDPR, giving useful indications of the organizational dimensions and the CSFs that compose them where better performance is necessary to ensure a successful implementation. Originality/Value: As far as we know, this is the first model of readiness based on CSFs related to the implementation of GDPR in HEIs, being therefore a first contribution to the development of this area.

Abstract Several heavy metals and other chemical elements are natural components of the Earth's crust and their properties and toxicity have been recognized for thousands of years. Moreover, their use in industries presents a major source of environmental and occupational pollution. Therefore, this ubiquity in daily life may result in several potential exposures coming from natural sources (e.g., through food and water contamination), industrial processes, and commercial products, among others. The toxicity of most chemical elements of the periodic table accrues from their highly reactive nature, resulting in the formation of complexes with intracellular compounds that impair cellular pathways, leading to dysfunction, necrosis, and apoptosis. Nervous, gastrointestinal, hematopoietic, renal, and dermatological systems are the main targets. This manuscript aims to collect the clinical and forensic signs related to poisoning from heavy metals, such as thallium, lead, copper, mercury, iron, cadmium, and bismuth, as well as other chemical elements such as arsenic, selenium, and fluorine. Furthermore, their main sources of occupational and environmental exposure are highlighted in this review. The importance of rapid recognition is related to the fact that, through a high degree of suspicion, the clinician could rapidly initiate treatment even before the toxicological results are available, which can make a huge difference in these patients' outcomes.

Abstract Introduction: Although delusional jealousy accounts for merely 10% of delusional disorders, it is associated to risk of serious violence and suicide. With this clinical case, we intend to explore the difficulties in the pharmacological approach of delusional jealousy disorder and to summarise the most recent findings in the treatment of this condition.
    Methods: Case report.
Case presentation: A 76-year-old man involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric ward due to threats of physical aggression to his wife in the context of irreducible ideas of her infidelity. Initially, we observed an improvement of symptomatology with risperidone and its long-acting injectable formulation, but the emergence of hypotensive side effects required the off-label use of paliperidone palmitate 50 mg/ml.
Conclusions: Few studies, mainly case reports, look at the specific treatment of delusional jealousy. Given the negative consequences for patients and for their spouses, better scientific evidence to treat this condition is needed.

Abstract The main aim of this article is the study of the relationship between homosexuality and the labor market. Studies on minorities have gained a lot of emphasis; however, about sexual minorities, these are still not very expressive, especially regarding the labor context. Although sexual orientation is not professionally related, homosexual workers still suffer discrimination, the impact of which is reflected in their health, wages, and job opportunities. Thus, workers may decide to limit the disclosure of their sexual orientation at work or to assume it, decisions that vary according to their working environments. Inclusive organizational environments and policies are relevant tools that organizations need to adopt, to create safety and happiness at work. To achieve the study aims, an ethnographic approach was taken. An interview guide was elaborated and interviews conducted with homosexual workers to analyze their realities and professional experiences. The results allow us to conclude that homosexuality not only negatively influences the hiring of workers, who see their access to the labor market restricted, but also influences the daily lives of many of them, affecting their physical and mental wellbeing. Identity management differs according to the found working context. Most of the non-assumed workers are doing so as a form of protection, and those who are assumed do so due to the good environment that surrounds them as well as the friendly relationships created. Although it is a reality still far from desirable, the existence of policies to protect against discrimination and awareness of equal treatment are measures that stand out, manifesting themselves in more genuine labor relations and greater organizational satisfaction and commitment.
