Abstract This book on tension-type headache is the second machine-generated scientific book in medicine published by Springer and reflects a new publication format which focuses on literature reviews: state-of-the-art computer algorithms were applied to select relevant sources from Springer Nature journal, rearrange them in a topical order, and provide short summaries of these articles. The result is the auto-summarization of current texts, organized by means of a similarity-based clustering routine in coherent chapters and sections. The human intervention of a world-renowned expert in this field grants the scientific soundness and appropriate organization of the contents identified. The AI-based approach seemed especially suitable to provide an innovative perspective as the topics are indeed both complex, interdisciplinary, and multidisciplinary, as is tension-type headache, the most diffuse among the chronic non communicable diseases. The result of this innovative process will of help especially for readers with limited time, interested in migraine and wishing to learn more about the subject quickly and if they are new to the topic. Springer seeks to support anyone who needs a fast and effective start in their content discovery journey, from the undergraduate student exploring interdisciplinary content, to Master- or PhD-thesis developing research questions, to the practitioner seeking support materials, this book can serve as an inspiration, to name a few examples. .

Abstract Headache is a very frequent symptom in COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. Many studies have emphasized its clinical diagnostic and prognostic importance on the one hand, as in many cases these aspects have been completely ignored. It is therefore opportune to go back over these lines of research in order to gather what usefulness the headache symptom may or may not represent for the clinician dealing with COVID-19 or performing or following up on the clinical course following vaccination for SARS-CoV-2. The clinical evaluation of headache in COVID-19 is not fundamental in the diagnostic and prognostic process of the emergency departments; however, the risk of severe adverse events, although very rare, must be taken into account by the clinicians. For subjects presenting with severe, drug-resistant, and delayed-onset post-vaccination headache, it could represent a possible sign of central venous thrombosis or other thrombotic complications. Thus, a re-reading of the role of headache in COVID-19 and SARS-CoV-2 vaccination seems clinically useful.

Abstract Headaches are non-communicable diseases and have a well-perceived stigma and the greatest personal, biopsychosocial, and occupational burden. The focus of biomedical research has brought attention to certain aspects, such as occupational, educational, and health organization impacts, favoring aspects of therapeutic innovation. These aspects are viable in countries with a high gross domestic product but are less so in countries with a low or average level of development, where dedicated health infrastructures, advanced drugs, and even disease awareness and basic education are lacking. Here, we propose the idea of a One Health project that includes headaches, where the patient is not seen as a single unit but as a high user of public health facilities, a low-efficiency worker, and a citizen with a clear social stigma. This hypothesis of the development of a self-assessment tool is based on seven domains, whose results will be offered for validation and evaluation to stakeholders, scientific societies, research groups, and key opinion leaders, in order to provide a framework of the specific needs per area of intervention (awareness, research, and education, etc.), per geographical area.

Abstract This is a summary of the research article entitled "Real-world effectiveness of fremanezumab in patients with migraine switching from another mAb targeting the CGRP pathway: A subgroup analysis of the Finesse Study".The discovery of calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) as a therapeutic target in migraine has been one of the greatest achievements in neurology in recent years. Specific antibodies against CGRP bind to it either via a receptor (erenumab) or ligand (fremanezumab, galcanezumab, eptinezumab). Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are effective, safe and welltolerated drugs that have been approved for prophylactic treatment if there are at least 4 days with migraine per month. However, in clinical practice, the failure of treatment with mAbs has been observed, and thus the question arises whether it is worthwhile to include treatment using an antibody with a different mechanism of action. The Finesse Study was designed to evaluate the efficacy of fremanezumab in patients with a history of prior treatment failure with other mAbs against the CGRP pathway. Among the 153 patients with priorly failed mAbs, switching to fremanezumab led to a ≥50% reduction in the number of days with migraine per month in 42.8% of patients. The conclusion emphasizes that switching to another antibody should be considered in patients with prior therapy failure.
