Abstract Systematic studies of the cancer genome have generated a wealth of knowledge in recent years. These studies have uncovered a number of new cancer genes not previously known to be causal targets in cancer. Genetic markers can be used to determine predisposition to tumor development, but molecularly targeted treatment strategies are not widely available for most cancers. Precision care plans still must be developed by understanding and implementing basic science research into clinical treatment. Proteomics is continuing to make major strides in the discovery of fundamental biological processes as well as more recent transition into an assay platform capable of measuring hundreds of proteins in any biological system. As such, proteomics can translate basic science discoveries into the clinical practice of precision medicine. The proteomic field has progressed at a fast rate over the past five years in technology, breadth and depth of applications in all areas of the bioscience. Some of the previously experimental technical approaches are considered the gold standard today, and the community is now trying to come to terms with the volume and complexity of the data generated. Here I describe contribution of proteomics in general and biological mass spectrometry in particular to cancer research, as well as related major technical and conceptual developments in the field.

Abstract Agitation and violent commonly occur in Emergency Department (ED). This is very important to manage agitated patients as soon as possible to prevent them from harming themselves or other patients and health care providers. Early management allows Clinicians to perform physical examination and appropriate treatment. Current studies recommended antipsychotics, Benzodiazepines and antidepressants .The purpose of this review is to evaluate pharmacological treatment for the management of agitation and aggression in ED. Our study is a comprehensive literature search to define recent drugs that are currently using for the treatment of agitation and aggression in ED. This review recommended that pharmacological treatments, such as antipsychotics, ketamine, promethazine, on-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, analgesics, narcotics may create more treatment option for the management of agitation and aggression in ED that requires more studies in order to show their risks and benefits.

Abstract Aims: There is a rapid increase in the number of people infected with COVID-19 throughout the world. The present study aimed to determine people's knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding COVID-19 in an Iranian sample. Instruments & Methods: This was a population-based cross-sectional study conducted on people over 18 years of age in Saveh city, of Iran, in 2020. A multiple-stage sampling method was used. Participants (N=471) completed an anonymous and self-report questionnaire assessing socio-demographic variables and KAP. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and independent t-tests by SPSS 21. The significance level was considered to be ≤0.05. Findings: Of participants, 74.5% did not have accurate knowledge of how the coronavirus is spread. In terms of attitudes, more than 63.2% considered COVID-19 to be a dangerous disease. About 59.6% of participants reported regular use of a mask in the past week. As compared to men, women reported attitudes and practices more aligned with recommended safety standards. Higher education level was significantly related to the mean KAP score (p<0.05). Conclusion: Although the sample evidenced appropriate attitudes and some safety practices in general, a significant percentage of individuals did not engage in protective behaviors.

Abstract Background: According to the Qur’an, man is the servant and the successor of Allah, the representative of prosperity on earth, and has the responsibility for the universe. This approach will create a constructive human interaction with the environment. Environmental degradation is against the will of Allah. It originates from ignorance, human selfishness, passions, and evil temptations, manifest in greed, arrogance, and extravagance. If humans control these abnormal factors and follow Qur’an teachings, they will enjoy a healthy environment that is a universal right. This paper seeks to study the anthropological theory of the Qur’an and its role in reducing environmental degradation. Methods: Based on the descriptive-analytical design, we explored 70 verses of the Holy Qur’an in which the words samā’, ‘ard, mas’ūl, khalīfah, shaytān, and those are cognate with the Arabic verbs sa-khkha-ra, ha-ra-sa, sa-ra-fa, ki-ba-ra, ha-wā, ‘a-ba-da, and ‘a-ma-ra, as well as the related articles, books, and philological and exegetical sources. We investigated the Qur’an to find the effect of awareness and more attention of human beings to the dimensions of man’s creation to reduce environmental degradation. These issues will be discussed in two parts: 1) the anthropology and the dimensions of human creation in the Qur’an, and 2) the causes of environmental degradation. Results: This study showed that the survival of life and human enjoyment of a healthy environment depends on enough knowledge of oneself, seeking help from Allah, and following the Qur’anic guidelines. These facts effectively control internal and external causes of environmental degradation, including ignorance, egoism, selfishness, and evil temptations. These actions destroy the roots of greed, arrogance, and extravagance in human beings. For this reason, Allah demands humans to develop earth, care for and rescue it from any destruction, avoid extravagance, and observe justice. Conclusion: Meditating in the Qur’an, the man knows his creative dimensions and ...

Abstract This data record contains a single dataset, Statistics200.xls , in .xls file format. The dataset contains information on 1142 patients suspected of having coronavirus. Data collection was performed using interviews, inserting information into the researcher-made questionnaires, and using the information in patients' medical records. The dataset consists of 52 individual variables. Empty cells correspond to data that are not available for that patient. The variables are: age, gender, citizenship, taken to the hospital (1; no, 2; yes), section of hospital, contact coronadisease (0; no history of contact with COVID-19 patients, 1; history of contact with COVID-19 patients), sample for test (0; patient did not provide a sample for the PCR COVID test, 1; patient provided a sample for the PCR test), result PCR (0; negative for COVID-19, 1; positive for COVID-19, 3; test result is pending), The following symptoms were reported, for which 0 stands for absence of symptom, and 1 stands for presence of the symptom: fever, cough, myalgia or fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of consciousness, smell, taste, convulsions, headache, dizziness, limb paresis, limb plexus, chest pain, skin lesions, other signs, gastrointestinal, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia), CT scan manifestation (0; CT scan results for COVID-19 are negative, 1; CT scan results for COVID-19 are positive), smoking, use of opium, patient has undergone intubation, rate of partial pressure of oxygen, Po2 (0; PO2 levels are greater than 93, 2; PO2 levels are less than 93), presence of underlying diseases (cancer, liver disease, hematologic disease, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, immune deficiency (acquired or congenital), pregnancy, heart disease, renal disease, dialysis status, asthma, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)), other chronic diseases, hypertension, condition when entering the hospital, death, duration of hospitalisation in days. Study aims and methodology : The new Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) primarily targets the human respiratory system, and represents a public health emergency and global concern. The present study aimed to investigate the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of COVID-19, in Saveh city, of Iran, in 2020. The present study was descriptive-analytical research in which all 1142 patients suspected of having coronavirus, who visited Saveh Medical Centers from February 9 to April 1 7, 2020, were included in the study. Data collection was performed using interviews, inserting information into the researcher-made questionnaires, and using the information in patients' medical records. Data were analyzed by SPSS 21 using Chi-square, independent sample t tests, Fisher's Exact Test, and regression analysis. For more details on the methodology, please read the related article.
