Abstract In the process of human communication, language learning and communication play a fundamental, leading, broad, and long-lasting role. It serves as a link and a bridge between countries and peoples, allowing for greater understanding and camaraderie. The significance of Chinese in international commercial and cultural exchanges has been more obvious in the current era, as China’s comprehensive strength continues to improve. Its cultural value and practical value have been continuously improved, the international community has an increasing demand for learning Chinese, and the cause of international Chinese language education has developed rapidly. China must strengthen the international dissemination of Chinese, so that the world can better understand and accept China, so that China can better integrate into the world. In this context, how to evaluate and stratify the quality of Chinese international education has become an important research topic. Relying on the hot deep learning technology in recent years, this work designs a neural network for evaluating the quality of international Chinese education. The content of this work is as follows: aiming at the serious defect of the current mainstream feature classification network that only uses the top-level features extracted by a single convolution layer to classify, which leads to the loss of classification accuracy. A multiscale feature pyramid fusion network is built in this paper, starting with the working mechanism of a convolutional neural network. It is capable of fully extracting and combining the representations of the network’s shallow and deep outputs, based on first- and second-order characteristics of global and local discriminative region information. Second, the network structure has the bottleneck layer module and the batch normalization layer module, both of which are made up of varying numbers of 1×1 convolution kernels.

Abstract Existing studies emphasize that interpersonal relationships are closely associated with the increased risk of suicidal ideation (SI). However, the mechanism underlying this association remains poorly understood. In this study, we investigated how and under what conditions the perceived stress from interpersonal relations links to SI. Also we explored the possible important roles of meaning in life and coping humor. A total of 1472 Chinese freshmen completed self-reported questionnaires of thwarted belongingness (TB), fear of negative evaluation (FNE), meaning in life, coping humor, and SI. Our results showed that SI was associated with more TB and FNE, and it was linked to less meaning in life and coping humor. Importantly, two dimensions of meaning in life mediated the associations between TB, FNE, and SI. Specifically, TB increased SI by destroying both presence of meaning and search for meaning while FNE increased SI by destroying presence of meaning, but not by search for meaning. Additionally, coping humor attenuated the effect of FNE on SI. Our findings highlight the protective roles of meaning in life and coping humor in the link between perceived stress from interpersonal relations and SI among Chinese university students. These results provide feasible advices for practitioners to carry out suicide prevention and intervention.

Abstract N 6 -methyladenosine (m 6 A) is a dynamic post-transcriptional RNA modification. Recently, its role in viruses has led to the study of viral epitranscriptomics. m 6 A has been observed in viral genomes and alters the transcriptomes of both the host cell and virus during infection. The effects of m 6 A modifications on host plant mRNA can either increase the likelihood of viral infection or enhance the resistance of the host to the virus. However, to date, the regulatory mechanisms of m 6 A in viral infection and host immune responses have not been fully elucidated. With the development of sequencing-based biotechnologies, the study of m 6 A in plant viruses has received increasing attention. In this mini review, we summarize the positive and negative consequences of m 6 A modification in different RNA viral infections. Given its increasingly important roles in multiple viruses, m 6 A represents a new potential target for antiviral defense.

Abstract A water-lubricated rubber bearing (WLRB) is prone to generate frictional vibration noise under special operating conditions, which seriously affects the acoustic stealth performance of warships and threatens their navigation safety. Meanwhile, the main factor affecting the frictional vibration behavior of a WLRB is the materials of the friction pair. Therefore, this work selects a friction pair composed of a copper ring and a rubber block as the research object and studies the frictional vibration behavior of the ring–block friction pair under low-speed and starting conditions. The real friction coefficient curve is used to establish a transient dynamic finite element analysis model for the ring–block friction pair. The effects of the load, friction coefficient, and Young’s modulus on the frictional vibration behavior under special operating conditions are studied. The analysis’s results show that the frequency of the medium-high frequency friction-induced vibration disappears under low-speed operating conditions when the friction coefficient is below 0.1. During the startup process, even if the friction coefficient is very low, the medium-high frequency friction-induced vibration still exists. The research results provide ideas for future theoretical research and guidance suggestions for engineering practice.

Abstract According to the new development pattern, implementing the development strategy driven by scientific and technological innovation (STI) is an important measure for each region to improve the quality of regional economic development. Exploring the effect of STI on the regional high-quality economic development (HED) is helpful to break the bottleneck and enhance the momentum of regional economic development. The Yangtze River Delta, located in the east coast of China, is the frontier of STI and economic development. Based on theoretical analysis, this paper uses the entropy method to calculate the STI index of the Yangtze River Delta from 2009 to 2018, and systematically investigates the impact of STI on HED in Yangtze River Delta by using two-way fixed effect, spatial Dubin model, panel threshold model and moderation effect model. The research finds that: First, under the control of other factors, STI has significantly promoted the HED of Yangtze River Delta region, while it also produces a spatial spillover effect. Second, the impact of STI on HED in the Yangtze River Delta has a double threshold effect based on the advanced industrial structure. Third, the analysis of adjustment mechanism shows that the scale of higher education has a positive adjustment effect in the relationship between STI and HED. Fourth, with the further analysis of regional heterogeneity, the economic effect of STI in central cities is significantly greater than that in noncentral cities. These findings provide theory-based direction and policy inspiration for improving the institutional mechanism of STI and accelerating the promotion of HED in Yangtze River Delta region.

Abstract With the rapid development of global automotive industry intelligence and networking, the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) service, as a key communication technology, has been faced with an increasing spectrum of resources shortage. In this paper, we consider a spectrum utilization problem, in which a number of co-existing cellular users (CUs) and prioritized device-to-device (D2D) users are equipped in a single antenna vehicle-mounted communication network. To ensure a business-aware spectrum access mechanism with delay granted in a complex dynamic environment, we consider optimizing a metric that maintains a trade off between maximizing the total capacity of vehicle to vehicle (V2V) and vehicle to infrastructure (V2I) links and minimizing the interference of high priority links. A low complexity priority-based spectrum allocation scheme based on the deep reinforcement learning method is developed to solve the proposed formulation. We trained our algorithm using the deep Q-learning network (DQN) over a set of public bandwidths. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can allocate spectrum resources quickly and effectively in a high dynamic vehicle network environment. Concerning improved channel transmission rate, the V2V link rate in this scheme is 2.54 times that of the traditional random spectrum allocation scheme, and the V2I link rate is 13.5% higher than that of the traditional random spectrum allocation scheme. The average total interference received by priority links decreased by 14.2 dB compared to common links, realized service priority distinction and has good robustness to communication noise.

Abstract Abstract Background In this study, we attempted to assess the efficacy and safety of acupuncture for allergic rhinitis (AR), and to test the robustness of the estimated effects. Methods The Cochrane methodology standard was followed to conduct this systematic review. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing acupuncture with other therapies for AR were included. Furthermore, trial sequential analysis was conducted to test the robustness of pooled results. Thirty trials with 4413 participants were included. Results Acupuncture improved the nasal symptoms on Total Nasal Symptom Score (TNSS) and quality of life measured by Rhinoconjunctivitis Quality of Life Questionnaire (RQLQ) in adults with AR, compared to acupuncture with no intervention. Acupuncture was also shown to be more effective than sham acupuncture for nasal symptom (RQLQ subscale, n = 489, MD − 0.60, 95% CI − 1.16 to − 0.04) and quality of life (RQLQ, n = 248, − 8.47 95% CI − 14.91, − 2.03). No clear difference was observed between acupuncture and cetirizine or loratadine. Interestingly, trial sequential analysis (TSA) failed to confirm the aforementioned results. The effect of acupuncture for children/adolescents with AR remains unclear due to insufficient data. The performance bias and attrition bias are serious in most studies that were included. Selection bias may also have affected the quality of the evidence. Conclusion Acupuncture may have an advantage over no intervention and sham acupuncture in improving nasal symptoms and quality of life for adults with AR. The effect of acupuncture and cetirizine or loratadine for AR may be similar. Additional trials are necessary to confirm these results.

Abstract In recent years, the retrieval and validation of remotely-sensed leaf area index (LAI) products over complex land surfaces have received much attention due to the high-precision land surface model simulations and applications in global climate change. However, most of these related researches mainly focus on coarse resolution products. This is because few products have been specifically designed for solving the problems derived from complex land surfaces in mountain areas until now. MuSyQ LAI is a new product derived from Gaofen-1 (GF-1) satellite data. This product is characterized with a temporal resolution of 10 days and a spatial resolution of 16 m. As is well known, high-resolution products have less uncertainties because of the homogeneities of sub-pixel. Therefore, to evaluate the precision and uncertainty of MuSyQ LAI, an up-scaling strategy was employed here to validate MuSyQ LAI for three mountain regions in Southwest China. The validation strategy can be divided into three parts. First, a regression model was built by in situ LAI measured by LAI-2200 and the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) from unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) images to obtain a 0.5 m resolution LAI map. Second, an up-scaled LAI map with a spatial resolution consistent with MuSyQ LAI was calculated by the pixel-averaging method from the UAV-based LAI map. Third, the MuSyQ LAI was validated by the up-scaled UAV-based LAI in pixel scale. Simultaneously, the sources of uncertainty were analyzed and compared from the view of data source, retrieval model, and scale effects. The results suggested that MuSyQ LAI in the study areas are significantly underestimated by 53.69% due to the complex terrain and heterogeneous land cover. There are three main reasons for the underestimation. The differences between GF-1 reflectance and UAV-based reflectance employed to estimate LAI are the largest factors for the validation results, even accounting for 61.47% of the total bias. Subsequently, the scale effects led to about 28.44% bias. Last ...

Abstract Objective To compare the outcomes of the transhepatic hilar approach and conventional approach for surgical treatment of Bismuth types III and IV perihilar cholangiocarcinoma. Methods We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 82 patients who underwent surgical resection of Bismuth types III and IV perihilar cholangiocarcinoma from 2008 to 2016. The transhepatic hilar approach and conventional approach was used in 36 (43.9%) and 46 (56.1%) patients, respectively. Postoperative complications and overall survival were compared between the two approaches. Results Similar clinical features were observed between the patients treated by the conventional approach and those treated by the transhepatic hilar approach. The transhepatic hilar approach was associated with less intraoperative bleeding and a lower percentage of Clavien grade 0 to II complications than the conventional approach. However, the transhepatic hilar approach was associated with a higher R0 resection rate and better overall survival. Multivariate analysis showed that using the transhepatic hilar approach, the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center classification, and R0 resection were independent risk factors for patient survival. Conclusion The transhepatic hilar approach might be the better choice for surgical resection of Bismuth types III and IV perihilar cholangiocarcinoma because it is associated with lower mortality and improved survival.
