Abstract This study examined the management of North-East Moroccan physicians of menopause. The poll was carried out on a representative sample of physicians in the Nador region. The sample included gynecologists and general practitioner physicians in both public and private medical sectors. The survey contained focused and open-ended questions on the good knowledge or not of physicians about menopause, their patient population, their prescribing practices, their perceptions, and the different medical approaches to managing the symptoms of menopause. Among the general practitioners interviewed, only 16% of physicians are very knowledgeable about the management of menopause and only 3 physicians have followed continuous training. The others have mainly acquired their information from the internet, medical journals, and scientific magazines. Only one-third of physicians interviewed prescribe menopausal hormonal treatment in this region. The treatment is mainly prescribed to cope with hot flashes (97.1%) and menstrual cycle disruption (85.7%). Others are in favor of non-hormonal treatments and advise women to change their bad daily habits to relieve symptoms. In this region of Morocco, hormonal treatment for menopause is not very common and the majority of general practitioners are not familiar with menopause.

Abstract The light gated recurrent units (Li-GRU) is well-known for achieving impressive results in automatic speech recognition (ASR) tasks while being lighter and faster to train than a standard gated recurrent units (GRU). However, the unbounded nature of its rectified linear unit on the candidate recurrent gate induces an important gradient exploding phenomenon disrupting the training process and preventing it from being applied to famous datasets. In this paper, we theoretically and empirically derive the necessary conditions for its stability as well as engineering mechanisms to speed up by a factor of five its training time, hence introducing a novel version of this architecture named SLi-GRU. Then, we evaluate its performance both on a toy task illustrating its newly acquired capabilities and a set of three different ASR datasets demonstrating lower word error rates compared to more complex recurrent neural networks.

Abstract The application of artificial intelligence (AI) in predictive analytics is growing in popularity. It has the power to offer ground-breaking solutions for a range of social problems and real world societal difficulties. It is helpful in addressing some of the social issues that today's world seems incapable of solving. One of the most significant phenomena affecting people's lives is divorce. The goal of this paper is to study the use of machine learning algorithms to determine the effectiveness of divorce predictor scale (DPS) and identify the reasons that usually lead to divorce in the scenario of Hail region, KSA. For this purpose, in this study, the DPS, based on Gottman couples therapy, was used to predict divorce by applying different machine learning algorithms. There were 54 items of the DPS used as features or attributes for data collection. In addition to the DPS, a personal information form was utilized to gather participants' personal data in order to conduct this study in a more structured and traditional manner. Out of 148 participants 116 participants were married whereas 32 were divorced. With the use of algorithms artificial neural network (ANN), naïve bayes (NB), and random forest (RF), the effectiveness of DPS was examined in this study. The correlation based feature selection method was used to identify the top six features from the same dataset and the highest accuracy rate was 91.66% with RF. The results show that DPS can predict divorce. This scale can help family counselors and therapists in case formulation and intervention plan development process. Additionally, it may be argued that the Hail region, KSA sampling confirmed the Gottman couples treatment predictors.

Abstract This study aimed to assess the extent of eutrophication in the Marchica lagoon, using the trophic index (TRIX), trophic status index (TSI) and Redfield ratio (N/P). Seawater samples were collected monthly from March 2018 to February 2019 from ten locations in the lagoon. The TRIX index ranged from 1.25 to 8.87, indicating oligotrophic to eutrophic conditions. TSI values ranged from 28.4 to 65.1, indicating ultraoligotrophic to supereutrophic seawater. The Redfield ratio consistently showed N/P values below 16, designating phosphorus as the limiting factor for algal growth. Principal component analysis (PCA) and cluster analysis (CA) revealed distinct coastal water masses based on seasons and sampling regions. Given these findings, urgent conservation and management measures are recommended to address the eutrophication issues threatening the delicate balance of the Marchica lagoon.

Abstract A deep understanding of muzzle flow fields is essential for optimizing muzzle devices and projectile design. This flow characterization has been heretofore limited to local and intrusive measurement techniques such as pressure measurements using pencil probes. Consequently, the quantitative experimental data are limited, so are the number of numerical codes validated in this field. The objective of the present work is to demonstrate the applicability of the Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique to provide accurate velocity measurements in the challenging environment of the propellant flow of a .300 blackout weapon. During this work, we have studied the feasibility of PIV on the muzzle flow using: (i) the naturally existing particles in the combustion gas as tracers, (ii) two different solid tracers; namely TiO₂ and ZrO₂ particles with a nominal size of 100 nm, seeded using two different methods. The first method implies coating the propellant grains with the tracer powder, in the second one the tracer is added directly inside the cartridge case. The experiments aim to demonstrate in particular: (i) the capability of PIV to resolve the main structures of the flow, (ii) the assessment of particle response across the Mach disk, and (iii) the non-alteration of the weapon's ballistics. To achieve this goal, an experimental setup with five different measurements was installed: (i) PIV system, (ii) classical high-speed schlieren visualization, (iii) optical particle counter, (vi) pressure transducer in the combustion chamber, and (v) projectile velocity measurement. The experimental results demonstrated (i) the ability of PIV to accurately resolve the main features of the flow as well as the instantaneous velocity field; (ii) that the combustion products contain sub-micrometric particles which can follow with high fidelity the gas flow; (iii) that solid ZrO₂ particles, when coated on the propellant grains, are suitable as tracers presenting a good flow fidelity and that the seeding of these inert particles is recommended in subsonic conditions (or whenever there is a lack of unburned particles); and (iv) that the TiO₂ particles intended to act as tracers, surprisingly not only melted but also functioned as a combustion accelerator and decreased the number of particles in the propellant gas.
