Abstract This study aims to check the effect of job demands on employees' burnout and job resources on employees' work engagement with the moderating role of psychological ownership. Moreover, the direct and mediating role of burnout and work engagement in adaptive job performance. Data were collected through a survey questionnaire from a total of 311 four and five-star hotel employees and structural equational modeling was employed to test the hypotheses. The findings demonstrate the positive relation of job demands with burnout and job resources with work engagement. Furthermore, burnout has a direct negative as well as mediating relation with adaptive job performance whereas, work engagement has a direct positive as well as mediating relation with adaptive job performance. Lastly, the study has also found that psychological ownership weakens the relationship of job demands and employees’ burnout whereas, it strengthens the relationship among job resources and employees’ work engagement. Theoretical and practical implications are also discussed.

Abstract For autonomous driving, perception is a primary and essential element that fundamentally deals with the insight into the ego vehicle's environment through sensors. Perception is challenging, wherein it suffers from dynamic objects and continuous environmental changes. The issue grows worse due to interrupting the quality of perception via adverse weather such as snow, rain, fog, night light, sand storms, strong daylight, etc. In this work, we have tried to improve camera-based perception accuracy, such as autonomous-driving-related object detection in adverse weather. We proposed the improvement of YOLOv8-based object detection in adverse weather through transfer learning using merged data from various harsh weather datasets. Two prosperous open-source datasets (ACDC and DAWN) and their merged dataset were used to detect primary objects on the road in harsh weather. A set of training weights was collected from training on the individual datasets, their merged versions, and several subsets of those datasets according to their characteristics. A comparison between the training weights also occurred by evaluating the detection performance on the datasets mentioned earlier and their subsets. The evaluation revealed that using custom datasets for training significantly improved the detection performance compared to the YOLOv8 base weights. Furthermore, using more images through the feature-related data merging technique steadily increased the object detection performance.

Abstract A global public health emergency, the coronovirus disease-2019 pandemic has impacted every way of life, including neuro-rehabilitation, worldwide. Issues related to increased service demand in primary care, exhausted or insufficient healthcare facilities were significantly high in low and middle-income countries, like Pakistan, with already a struggling health infrastructure. This required major change in health service delivery and impacted rehabilitation care of vulnerable patients with neurological conditions and impairments. For the current review, relevant key words and their combinations were used for literature search, including 'COVID 19', 'SARS-CoV-2', 'Corona Virus', 'rehabilitation', 'physical rehabilitation', 'pandemic', 'NCOC', 'lockdown', 'health services', 'physical therapy', 'disability', 'access', 'tele-rehabilitation', 'research', 'human resource', 'healthcare', etc. The platforms searched were Google search, Google Scholar and PubMed. The idea was to highlight how the pandemic impacted neuro-rehabilitation care in countries like Pakistan throughout the pandemic duration and during the lockdowns.

Abstract Global Positioning System (GPS) spoofing attacks have attracted more attention as one of the most effective GPS attacks. Since the signals from an authentic satellite and the spoofer undergo different attenuation, the captured envelope of fake GPS signals exhibits distinctive transmission characteristics due to short transmission paths. This can be utilized for GPS spoofing detection. The existing technique for GPS spoofing are either computationally too expensive, require specialize hardware/software updates, or are not accurate enough. To solve these issues, we propose a light-weight GPS spoofing detection method based on a dynamic threshold and captured signal envelope. We validate the proposed technique using experiments based on actual GPS signals and hardware. The relation between envelope characteristics and the distance between a GPS transmitter and receiver are revealed. Inspired by the uncovered relation, a threshold approach towards the detection of GPS spoofing is developed. The proposed approach features a dynamic threshold determined by the dispersion value of a signal envelope's variance instead of a fixed threshold to maximize detection performance in multiple attack scenarios. The results show that the proposed technique can effectively detect GPS spoofing attacks with better accuracy and lower computational complexity as compared to existing techniques.

Abstract Objective: To examine the immediate and mediate inferences among depressive adults with and without brain damage.
Methods: The descriptive, comparative study was conducted from November 6 to June 19, 2019, in Sargodha, Pakistan, and comprised depressive adults of either gender enrolled from various local mental health facilities. After applying Stroop test to identify brain damage, the subjects were divided into adults with brain damage in group A, and adults without brain damage in group B. Logical inferences of both groups were identified using three decision situations, and the findings were compared between the groups. Data was entered in SPSS V-26 for analysis. Chi-Square Test was applied to test the hypotheses.
Results: Of the 170 individuals approached, 120(70.5%) were included; 60(50%) in each of the two groups. Overall, there were 76(63%) males and 44(37%) females. The overall age range 18-60 years, with 105(88%) being young adults aged 18-49 years. Findings revealed that Group A exhibited higher frequency of immediate inferences on three conditions of certainty (55, 53, 58) as compared to Group B (23, 21, 20) while group B exhibited higher frequency on mediate inferences on the conditions of certainty (37, 39, 40) as compared to Group A (5, 7, 2). Group A exhibited higher frequency of immediate inferences on three conditions of risk (54, 55, 56) as compared to Group B (14, 23, 22) while group B exhibited higher frequency on mediate inferences on the conditions of risk (46, 35, 38) as compared to Group A (6, 7, 4). Group A exhibited higher frequency of immediate inferences on three conditions of uncertainty (53, 55, 55) as compared to Group B (14, 23, 22) while group B exhibited higher frequency on mediate inferences on the conditions of uncertainty (43, 40, 33) as compared to Group A (7, 5, 5).
Conclusions: In the light of the findings, it is inferred that adults with brain damages are unable to consider multiple perspectives while making decisions and consequently they consider one or two perspectives (immediate inferences) irrespective of the decision situation. However, adults without brain damages consider multiple perspectives while making decisions (mediate inferences) in all types of decision situations.

Abstract Introduction: Sexually diverse Muslim men are seen to be at a higher risk for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections due to their limited access to sexual healthcare services. We outline a protocol to conduct a scoping review of research on the barriers that may impede these men's access to sexual healthcare.
Methods and analysis: To conduct this scoping review, we will follow the methodological framework developed by Arksey and O'Malley and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses' extension for scoping reviews. To classify the barriers to sexual healthcare, we will employ Bronfenbrenner's socioecological model as a conceptual framework. We will conduct a literature search via Medline, Embase and Global Health (OVID); Scopus; CINAHL on EBSCOhost along with several other EBSCOhost databases (Academic Search Complete, Canadian Reference Centre, Alternative Press Index, Family & Society Studies Worldwide, Social Work Abstracts) and Google Scholar, published until November 2023. Journal articles, published in the English language, describing quantitative and qualitative research on sexual healthcare access barriers for sexually diverse Muslim men will be included in the review. Commentaries and correspondences, along with grey literature including research reports and conference abstracts, as well as studies that do not include men with the Muslim faith, will be considered ineligible. Following screening of titles and abstracts, we will conduct a full-text screening to determine the final number of studies to be included in the review. A Microsoft Excel spreadsheet will be used to extract study characteristics, and information on sexual healthcare access barriers will be classified according to the socioecological model's core concepts.
Ethics and dissemination: Our review does not require ethics approval. We will disseminate the review findings through peer-reviewed academic journals, seminars and conference presentations.
