Abstract	Maxillary lateral incisor is the most frequent congenitally missing anterior tooth of the permanent dentition. The absence of the anterior tooth can adversely affect the production/transmission of speech sounds, mental health, and facial aesthetics of an individual. Considering this, prosthetic rehabilitation of missing front tooth is important. The treatment alternatives include implant supported single crown, conventional fixed partial dentures (FPDs), and resin bonded FPDs that are unilaterally or bilaterally supported by metallic wings. However, with the development in adhesive dentistry fiber reinforced composite (FRC) supported FPDs have provided a workable substitute for traditional techniques because of their improved esthetics, minimal invasiveness, less cost, enhanced bond strength, and revocable nature. The current case, reports the two years follow up of twenty-four years old female patient, for whom the congenitally absent maxillary right lateral incisor was restored with FRC supported FPD.

Abstract	One form in avoiding the occurrence of occupational diseases and workplace accidents is to understand the use of PPE and wear personal protective equipment. Use of the intended personal protective equipment in which the scavenger conditions in the Tamangapa TPA while working with masks, boots, gloves and protective helmets. With the aim of preventing contamination of the disease and protecting the part or whole body there is a potential danger. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge and social economy to the use of personal protective equipment in garbage scavengers in TPA Tamangapa Makassar City. This research was conducted in TPA Tamangapa Kota Makassar. The research was conducted in January until February 2018. The research design used was analytic observational method is a research design that aims to see the relationship of two variables or without any treatment or intervention with cross sectional approach with the number of samples was 99 respondents according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data collection using questionnaire and data analysis using statistic with chi square test. The result of bivariate analysis showed that there was a correlation of knowledge with the use of self-protective device p = 0.024, and there was an economic status relationship with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (p = 0,029). Conclusion there is a relationship between knowledge, and economic status of garbage scavengers in TPA Tamangapa Makassar City. It is advisable to garbage collectors to further improve their understanding and discipline of using Personal Protective Equipment when working. Abstract	Objective: The study aimed to evaluate undergraduate dental students' self-perceived confidence in carrying out Endodontic procedures and correlating it with their performance in Endodontic clinics. Methods: The correlational study was conducted on fifth year dental students at Qassim University, Saudi Arabia. The self-perceived confidence of students was assessed by using Endodontic Self-Perceived Confidence Scale (ESCS). The students' endodontic clinical performance scores were obtained from the department head. Data were analyzed by IBM SPSS-23.0. Descriptive statistics were recorded as percentages, frequencies, and mean. Chi-square test was used for gender-wise comparison of all items of ESCS, Student t-test was used for comparing means and Pearson correlation coefficient was utilized for exploring correlation. Results: Over all response rate was 91.8%. Students exhibited the highest confidence level for achieving rubber dam isolation (4.57±0.66) while the lowest confidence level was documented for the treatment of teeth with immature apices (2.82±0.95). The mean self-confidence score of male students on ESCS was higher than the female students (P-value=0.18). However, mean endodontic clinic score of female students was significantly higher than the male students (P-value=0.02). The insignificant correlation was noted between the students' mean confidence scores and endodontic clinical performance scores (P-value=0.82). Conclusions: The insignificant correlation between self-perceived confidence and clinic scores raises significant caveats for utilizing the self-assessment in the aforementioned group. Hence, the students should be adequately trained in self-assessment to prepare them for lifetime learning. Additionally, clinical instructors by creating a supportive learning environment should help students to deal with their shortcomings.

Abstract	The principles of gas-phase biofilter systems, modeling, and operations are quite different from liquid-phase biofilter systems. Because of “biofilter” terminology used in both gas and liquid-phase systems, researchers often mistakenly use gas-phase models in liquid-phase applications for the analysis of data and determining kinetic parameters. For example, recent studies show a well-known gas-phase biofilter model, known as Ottengraf–Van Den Oever zero-order diffusion-limited model, is applied for analysis of experimental data from an aqueous biofilter system which is used for the removal of toxic divalent copper [Cu(II)] and chromium (VI). The objective of this research is to present the limitations and principles of gas-phase biofilter models and to highlight the incorrect use of gas-phase biofilter models in liquid-phase systems that can lead to erroneous results. The outcome of this work will facilitate scientists and engineers in distinguishing two different systems and selecting a more suitable biofilter model for the analysis of experimental data in determining kinetic parameters.

Abstract	In this computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-based study, the effects of inferior vena cava (IVC) filter implantation on the risk of IVC thrombosis have been investigated using different hemodynamic parameters, including time-averaged wall shear stress (TAWSS), the oscillating shear index (OSI), and the relative residence time (RRT). The boundary conditions in this study have been based on physiological pulses. Additionally, the k–ω model and the Carreau model have been chosen to represent the turbulent flow regime and non-Newtonian blood, respectively. For this purpose, three blood clots with the largest cross-sectional diameters of 30%, 50%, and 70% of the filter diameter have been used. Capturing a small clot in the filter has the minimum effect on the hemodynamic parameters, while by increasing the size of the captured clot, OSI and RRT parameters increase in areas downstream of the filter on the wall. The presence of a filter and clot increases the risk of thrombosis. In the case of capturing large clots, there is the possibility of damage to endothelial cells or platelet activation. Captured clots lead to the formation of plaque and thrombus on the IVC wall. However, the possibility of thrombus growth on its surface is not negligible, particularly if larger clots are trapped in the filter.

Abstract	Dear Madam, Around 52.5 million people worldwide suffer from the neurological illness known as epilepsy, which is frequently characterized by recurring seizures. (1, 2) As epilepsy is a chronic disorder that can lead to cognitive deficits, sadness, and anxiety in sufferers, it has a considerable negative impact on individuals and society. The most common type of seizures, affecting around 61% of persons with epilepsy, are focal seizures, which raise the risk of injury and early death (2). One of the most common forms of focal epilepsy, temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE), is characterized by recurring spontaneous seizures that begin in the temporal lobe. (s). (3) In the last two decades, many new antiseizure medications (ASMs)have been developed; however, about 40% of people with epilepsy may be drug-resistant, meaning ASMs are unable to control their seizures; therefore, despite the advent of new treatments, a high unmet need remains unaddressed. (2) Surgery is an alternate treatment, however, it cannot be used if larger areas of the brain are affected, in such cases, neuromodulation is a novel and successful therapeutic tool developed. (4) Conventionally, neural activity in epilepsy is categorized into interictal, and post-ictal states. With the help of continuous EEG, researchers have subdivided interictal state into a pre-ictal and pro-ictal state in temporal lobe epilepsy patients (which is the typical drug-resistant focal epilepsy targeted for interventions such as neuromodulation). The pre-ictal states indicate imminent seizure onset, while pro-ictal states reflect changes in neural activity that create a propensity for seizures over longer periods. The EEG-based pro-ictal state detection is critical to adaptive neuromodulation, with early detection of seizure allowing electrodes to be applied therapeutically to the brain's seizure onset zone and thalamus enabling treatment to be modified as per seizure risk. Abstract	The technique of in vitro fertilization is the cornerstone of all assisted reproductive techniques. Other sophisticated procedures springing from it can differ in the method of assisted fertilization; for example, the site of deposition of gametes or embryos in the uterus or Fallopian tube, the use of fresh or frozen gametes and embryos, assistance from donor sperms or oocytes, and whether gestation is carried out in the same woman or another woman. IVF itself depends on the retrieval of ova from a woman's ovaries. This pivotal stage of IVF has not been deliberated upon by Muslim jurists, who largely focus on the overall legal status of IVF, whereas the legal position of this particular step in IVF impacts the whole procedure. This research paper focuses specifically on the retrieval of ova for IVF in the light of Islamic Sharī'ah.
