Abstract In recent decades, 3d-5d based double perovskite oxides (DPO) have received considerable attention due to the existence of the Mott-insulating (MI) state, which is due to the spin-orbit coupling (SOC) and strong electron-correlation (EC) effects. They provide a small stray field and ultra-fast spin moments, which play a key role in the design of magnetic tunnel junctions. Herein, we examined the physical properties of the unstrained and biaxial ([110]) strained LaSr

Abstract Using density functional theory calculations, we found that recently high-pressure synthesized double perovskite oxide [Formula: see text] exhibits ferrimagnetic (FiM) Mott-insulating state having an energy band gap of 0.20 eV which confirms the experimental observations (Feng et al. in Inorg Chem 58:397-404, 2019). Strong antiferromagnetic superexchange interactions between high-energy half-filled [Formula: see text]-[Formula: see text] and low-energy partially filled [Formula: see text] orbitals, results in a FiM spin ordering. Besides, the effect of 3d transition metal (TM = Cr, Mn, and Fe) doping with 50% concentration at Ni sites on its electronic and magnetic properties is explored. It is established that smaller size cation-doping at the B site enhances the structural distortion, which further gives strength to the FiM ordering temperature. Interestingly, our results revealed that all TM-doped structures exhibit an electronic transition from Mott-insulating to a half-metallic state with effective integral spin moments. The admixture of Ir 5d orbitals in the spin-majority channel are mainly responsible for conductivity, while the spin minority channel remains an insulator. Surprisingly, a substantial reduction and enhancement of spin moment are found on non-equivalent Ir and oxygen ions, respectively. This leads the Ir ion in a mixed-valence state of [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] in all doped systems having configurations of [Formula: see text] ([Formula: see text]) and [Formula: see text] ([Formula: see text]), respectively. Hence, the present work proposes that doping engineering with suitable impurity elements could be an effective way to tailor the physical properties of the materials for their technological potential utilization in advanced spin devices.

Abstract Childhood sexual abuse (CSA) is a pervasive and traumatic experience that can lead to long-lasting and profound psychological costs, especially post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among young adolescents. This single case study explores the application of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) as ground-breaking therapeutic approach for the treatment of child sexual abuse related PTSD in this vulnerable population. DBT found to be effective in treating CSA related PTSD, according to a growing body of research. This case study presents the course of treatment of 13 years old girl with CSA-related PTSD who received Dialectical Behaviour Therapy as treatment. In this instance, the client reacted to the therapy and displayed positive changes. Following the treatment, the client's PTSD criteria were no longer met, evidenced by substantial drops on the scale used for evaluation. The article discusses the treatment implications of DBT and how well it treats children with PTSD related to CSA.

Abstract Half-metallic ferromagnetic/ferrimagnetic (FiM) materials are a matter of enormous interest due to their potential technological applications in solid-state electronic devices. In this way, strain plays an important role to tune or control the physical properties of the systems; therefore, the influence of both biaxial ([110]) and hydrostatic ([111]) strain on the electronic and magnetic properties of recently synthesized double perovskite oxide Lu2NiIrO6 is investigated using density-functional theory calculations. The unstrained system exhibits a FiM Mott-insulating (i.e., having an energy gap of 0.20 eV) ground state due to strong antiferromagnetic superexchange coupling between high-energy half-filled Ni2+-e2g↑ and low-energy partially filled Ir4+ t32g↑t22g↓ orbitals. Interestingly, a half-metallic FiM state is predicted under biaxial and hydrostatic compressive strains of -8% and -6%, respectively. The admixture of Ir 5d orbitals in the spin-majority channel is mainly responsible for the conductivity with small contributions from Ni 3d orbitals. In contrast, all the tensile strain systems show almost the same electronic behavior (Mott-insulating FiM states) as found in the case of the unstrained system. The magnetic moments of the Ni (Ir) ion slightly decrease and increase as a function of compressive and tensile strains due to shortening and lengthening of the Ni-O(Ir-O) bond lengths, respectively. Moreover, our calculations show that compressive strain enhances the structural distortions, which could help to increase the Curie temperature of the system.

Abstract Background: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is the most common genetic disorder of the endocrine gland among females during the age of reproduction with an estimated prevalence ranging from 2.2 % to 26 %. It is a typical reason for ovulatory infertility, menstrual dysfunction, and hirsutism. It is a condition in which ovarian cysts develop with a diameter of between two and nine millimeters on one or each ovaries and therefore there is an increase in the volume of one is larger than ten millimeters.
Objective: To analyze the effect of pilates on pain and regulation of the menstrual cycle in females with PCOS.
Research methodology: A single centered, quasi-experimental study, performed in Lovely Professional University, India on a total of 26 participants suffering from PCOS, based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. After a detailed assessment, the Pilates exercise protocol was given for 3 months i.e. 3 times per week. The readings for pain and regulation were taken at baseline, at the end of 1st, 2
Results: The result findings indicates suggested that there is significant change in the pain (Wilk's Lambda =.117, F(3,23) = 58.109, P < 0.05), variable during the menstruation in PCOS over the time of three months. The menstrual cycles were regularised and the cycle was shifted towards the normal parameters. The VMSS also shows changes that signify that Pilates is effective in PCOS complications.
Conclusion: This study concluded that Pilates is effective in reducing the pain in PCOS cases which improves the working ability of the females and also regulates the menstrual cycles which were irregular at the beginning of the treatment.

Abstract Medical image analysis using deep neural networks (DNN) has demonstrated state-of-the-art performance in image classification and segmentation tasks, aiding disease diagnosis. The accuracy of the DNN is largely governed by the quality and quantity of the data used to train the model. However, for the medical images, the critical security and privacy concerns regarding sharing of local medical data across medical establishments precludes exploiting the full DNN potential for clinical diagnosis. The federated learning (FL) approach enables the use of local model's parameters to train a global model, while ensuring data privacy and security. In this paper, we review the federated learning applications in medical image analysis with DNNs, highlight the security concerns, cover some efforts to improve FL model performance, and describe the challenges and future research directions.

Abstract Based on applied linguistics, this study looked at the decision support system (DSS) for emphasizing self-assurance in academic writing. From a generic perspective, academic writing has been considered both a process and a product. It has highlighted the planning composite processes, editing, composing, revising, and assessment, which depend upon the familiarity of someone with confidence in their capability for engagement in these activities. As a product, it has focused on the writing results through the product's characteristics. These contain specific content areas in acceptable depth and well-structured technical vocabulary. Higher education aims to support students in optimizing their potential for achieving satisfactory outcomes. For example, the assessment of grades involves academic writing, contributing to the degree course classification. Students have differences in many respects, such as expectations, background knowledge, and study and learning approaches. There were varying students' beliefs about what academic writing is for evaluation. Modern-day motivations and theories highlight the significance of students' confidence in their studies. The role of high confidence can support students to apply more effort toward setting challenging goals. Students may find it more difficult to succeed in higher education if they lack confidence in their academic writing abilities. A DSS has many applications in diverse areas and can play a significant role in the ranking and prioritization process. The current study has considered the DSS for prioritizing self-assurance in academic writing based on applied linguistics. Various criteria were considered for the evaluation of the research. The Super Decision software was used for the experimental process of the proposed research. The results of the study show the effectiveness of the proposed research.

Abstract The interfacial perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) plays a key role in spintronic applications such as memory recording and computational devices. Despite robust PMA being reported at the Fe/MgO interface, there are still inconsistencies in the disorder effects on the interfacial magnetic anisotropy. Here we reported a comprehensive study of the influence of the interfacial disorder, including the underoxidization, overoxidization, and oxygen migration, on the PMA of the Fe/MgO interface using first-principles calculations. Compared to the pristine Fe/MgO interface, the underoxidation at the Fe/MgO interface keeps the interfacial PMA but reduces the interfacial anisotropy constant (
