Abstract With the application and development of linked data (LD), libraries have begun to offer LD-based information services for users. This study uses a checklist-based evaluation derived from a literature review as a research tool to address the state-of-the-art development and issues related to LD public access catalogs (PACs). Jane Austen and her works as well as derived works and persons were selected as testing instances for LD PAC at four libraries as follows: Biblioteca Nacional de España, Bibliothèque nationale de France, Linked Data Service of Library of Congress and SHARE Virtual Discovery Environment. Eleven functions were included in the evaluation checklist. The degree of provision of each function by each LD public access catalog was found to be varied in terms of link-based resource discovery, linkage to external LD resources and types, self-descriptive and dynamic content, representation and query of LD relationship, aggregated knowledge contexts, information graph, serendipity, toURIsm navigation, facet based navigation, reconfiguration and repackage, keyword recommendation and openness of data. A comparison between resource discovery system and LD PACs is also presented. (Article content in Chinese with English extended abstract)

Abstract Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is one among the major causes of mortality all round the globe. Several anti-platelet regimens have been proposed following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). In this analysis, we aimed to show the adverse clinical outcomes associated with ticagrelor monotherapy after a short course of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) with ticagrelor and aspirin following PCI in patients with versus without diabetes mellitus (DM).
Methods: Electronic databases were searched by four authors from September to November 2023. Cardiovascular outcomes and bleeding events were the endpoints of this analysis. Revman 5.4 software was used to conduct this meta-analysis. Risk ratio (RR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were used to represent the results which were generated.
    Results: Three studies with a total number of 22,574 participants enrolled from years 2013 to 2019 were included in this analysis. Results of this analysis showed that DM was associated with significantly higher risks of major adverse cardiovascular events (RR: 1.73, 95% CI: 1.49 - 2.00; P = 0.00001), all-cause mortality (RR: 2.15, 95% CI: 1.73 - 2.66; P = 0.00001), cardiac death (RR: 2.82, 95% CI: 1.42 - 5.60; P = 0.003), stroke (RR: 1.78, 95% CI: 1.16 - 2.74; P = 0.009), myocardial infarction (RR: 1.63, 95% CI: 1.17 - 2.26; P = 0.004) and stent thrombosis (RR: 1.74, 95% CI: 1.03 - 2.94; P = 0.04) when compared to patients without DM. However, thrombolysis in myocardial infarction (TIMI) defined minor and major bleedings, bleeding defined according to the academic research consortium (BARC) type 3c (RR: 1.31, 95% CI: 0.14 - 11.90; P = 0.81) and BARC type 2, 3 or 5 (RR: 1.17, 95% CI: 0.85 - 1.62; P = 0.34) were not significantly different.
Conclusion: In patients who were treated with ticagrelor monotherapy after a short course of DAPT with ticagrelor and aspirin, DM was an independent risk factor for the significantly increased adverse cardiovascular outcomes. However, TIMI and BARC defined bleeding events were not significantly different in patients with versus without DM.

Abstract With advancement and application of linked data, it has become an issue how to transform existing MARC data into linked data in libraries. This paper aims to address three transformations from MARC into linked data in terms of evolutionary development of linked data in libraries. Eight tasks mainly borrowed from W3C’ Linked Data Cookbook have employed as a framework to analyze the cases of three approaches used in library for linked data transformation as follows: British National Bibliography of British Library and Bibliothèque nationale de France for batch transformation, Share Virtual Discovery Environment for linky MARC and Library Link Network for Schema.org. As a result, initially the transformation in libraries has focused on triplification of linked data. Later, libraries has emphasized on how to deliver linked data driven information services and expose linked data based bibliographic data for increasing the visibility indexed and value added by search engines.

Abstract The “double carbon” target is a medium-to-long-term national strategy proposed by China to combat climate change. The industrial sector is one of the key areas for the implementation of the “double carbon” target. Therefore, studying the association between carbon emission factors and carbon emissions is crucial to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from industrial activities. In the present study, the association between factors affecting carbon emissions and carbon emissions in a circular economy were investigated for an industrial park in Northwest China. A carbon emission system dynamics model for this circular economy industrial park was constructed, in reference to the relevant national policies and the current condition of the park. Five different scenarios were utilized to dynamically simulate the impact of rapid economic development, energy restructuring, industrial restructuring, and technological development, and carbon emission reduction paths for industrial parks were explored. The results showed that, the park would peak at 1134.67 thousand tons of CO2 in 2032, according to the baseline scenario, with industrial energy consumption accounting for over 80% of the total emissions. A combined regulation scenario, with increased investment in research and development and environmental management, would achieve a peak in 2030, with a relatively lower peak of 1062.88 thousand tons of CO2. Our findings provides new insights into the paths of carbon emission reduction in recycling industrial parks.

Abstract Levels of evidence (LOE), also known as hierarchies of evidence, are determined primarily by the inherent bias and validity of the study designs. Understanding LOE is a crucial preliminary step in practicing evidence-based medicine (EBM) or evidence-based dermatology. These hierarchies facilitate the efficient acquisition of the best available evidence for clinicians in decision-making, as well as guiding researchers in conducting new studies with appropriate designs while considering the next higher LOE necessary to improve the quality of currently available evidence. This article provides a concise overview of LOE and study designs based on the 2011 Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine LOE for treatment benefits. We utilize examples from medical literature to elucidate the strengths and limitations of various study designs. Furthermore, we shed light on the key concepts of the updated evidence pyramid and how the EBM research roadmap functions to bridge the gap between current best evidence and clinical practice.

Abstract In this research, 3356 alcohol-related traffic crashes were obtained from blood-alcohol test reports in Tianjin, China. Population density, intersection density, road density, and alcohol outlet densities, including retail density, entertainment density, restaurant density, company density, hotel density, and residential density, were extracted from 2114 traffic analysis zones (TAZs). After a spatial autocorrelation test, the multiple linear regression model (MLR), geographically weighted Poisson regression model (GWPR), and semi-parametric geographically weighted Poisson regression model (SGWPR) were utilized to explore the spatial effects of the aforementioned variables on drunk-driving crash density. The result shows that the SGWPR model based on the adaptive Gaussian function had the smallest AICc value and the best-fitting accuracy. The residential density and the intersection density are global variables, and the others are local variables that have different influences in different regions. Furthermore, we found that the influence of local variables in the economic–technological development area shows significantly different characteristics compared with other districts. Thus, a comprehensive consideration of spatial heterogeneity would be able to improve the effectiveness of the programs formulated to decrease drunk driving crashes.

Abstract Understanding the relationship between the built environment and the ride-hailing ridership is crucial to the prediction of the demand for ride-hailing and the formulation of the strategy for upgrading the built environment. However, the existing studies on ride-hailing ignore the scale effect and zone effect of the modifiable area unit problem (MAUP), and show a lack of consideration for the elastic relationship with spatial heterogeneity between built environment variables and ride-hailing ridership. Taking Chengdu as an example, this paper selects 12 independent variables based on the “5Ds” (density, diversity, design, destination accessibility and distance to transit) of the built environment, the dependent variables are the density of ride-hailing pick-ups in the morning and evening peak hours, and 11 spatial units are proposed according to different scales and zoning methods for the aggregation of built environment variables and ride-hailing pick-ups. With the goal of global optimal goodness-of-fit, we determined the optimal spatial unit by using the log-linear Ordinary Least-Squares (OLS) model. A multi-scale geographically weighted elastic regression (MGWER) model is formulated to explore the relative effect of the built environment on the ride-hailing ridership and spatial heterogeneity. The average value of positive elastic local regression coefficient of different variables is used to measure the relative positive impact of built environment factors, and the absolute value of the average value of negative elastic local regression coefficient is used to measure the relative negative impact of built environment factors. The results show that: (1) The MGWER model under the community unit division has the best global goodness-of-fit. (2) Different built environment variables have different elastic impacts on the demand for ride-hailing. For the morning peak hours and evening peak hours, the top three built environment factors with positive impacts are ranked as follows: commercial POI density > average ...

Abstract Background: Readout-segmented echo-planar imaging (rs-EPI) with simultaneous multislice (SMS) technology has been successfully applied to tumor research in many organs, but no feasibility study in rectal cancer has been reported, and the optimal acceleration of SMS with rs-EPI in rectal cancer has not been well determined yet. Objective: To investigate the feasibility of SMS rs-EPI of rectal cancer with different acceleration factors (AF s ) and its influence on image quality, acquisition time and apparent diffusion coefficients (ADC s ) in comparison to conventional sequences. Methods: All patients underwent rs-EPI and SMS rs-EPI with AF s of 2 and 3 (2 × SMS rs-EPI and 3 × SMS rs-EPI, respectively) using a 3T scanner. Acquisition times of the three rs-EPI sequences were measured. Image qualitative parameters (5-point Likert scale), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR), geometric distortion, and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of the three sequences were compared. Results: A total of eighty-three patients were enrolled in our study. rs-EPI and 2 × SMS rs-EPI offered equivalently high overall image quality with a scan time reduction to nearly half (rs-EPI: 137 s, 2 × SM rs-EPI: 60 s). 3 × SMS rs-EPI showed significantly poorer image quality ( p < 0.05). ADC values were significantly lower in 3 × SMS rs-EPI compared to rs-EPI in rectal tumors and normal tissue (tumor tissue: rs-EPI 1.19 ± 0.21 × 10 −3 mm 2 /s, 3 × SMS rs-EPI 1.10 ± 0.26 × 10 −3 mm 2 /s, p < 0.001; normal tissue: rs-EPI 1.68 ± 0.13 × 10 −3 mm 2 /s, 3 × SMS rs-EPI 1.54 ± 0.20 × 10 −3 mm 2 /s, p < 0.001). Conclusions: SMS rs-EPI using an AF of 2 is feasible for rectal MRI resulting in substantial reductions in acquisition time while maintaining diagnostic image quality and similar ADC values to those of rs-EPI when the slice distance and number of shots are the same among three rs-EPI sequences.

Abstract Heat exchangers in operation often experience scaling, which can lead to a decrease in heat exchange efficiency and even safety accidents when fouling accumulates to a certain thickness. To address this issue, manual intervention is currently employed to monitor fouling thickness in advance. In this study, we propose a two-layer LSTM neural network model with an attention mechanism to effectively learn fouling thickness data under different working conditions. The model accurately predicts the scaling thickness of the heat exchanger during operation, enabling timely human intervention and ensuring that the scaling remains within a safe range. The experimental results demonstrate that our proposed neural network model (TA-LSTM) outperforms both the traditional BP neural network model and the LSTM neural network model in terms of accuracy and stability. Our findings provide valuable technical support for future research on heat exchanger descaling and fouling growth detection.
