Abstract	Metal injection molding (MIM) is a near net-shape manufacturing process combining conventional plastic injection molding and powder metallurgy. Two kinds of injections molds for MIM were developed using conventional mold steel and aluminum (Al)-filled epoxy resins in this study. The characteristics of the mold made by rapid tooling technology (RTT) were evaluated and compared with that of the fabricated conventional machining method through the MIM process. It was found that the service life of the injection mold fabricated by Al-filled epoxy resin is about 1300 molding cycles with the average surface roughness of 158 nm. The mold service life of the injection mold fabricated by Al-filled epoxy resin is about 1.3% that of the conventional mold steel. The reduction in manufacturing cost of an injection mold made by Al-filled epoxy resin is about 30.4% compared with that of the fabricated conventional mold steel. The saving in manufacturing time of an injection mold made by RTT is about 30.3% compared with that of the fabricated conventional machining method.

Abstract	Inhibition is a core executive cognitive function. However, the neural correlates of non-motor inhibitory control are not well understood. We investigated this question using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and a simple Count Go/NoGo task (n = 23), and further explored the causal relationships between activated brain regions. We found that the Count NoGo task activated a distinct pattern in the subcortical basal ganglia, including bilateral ventral anterior/lateral nucleus of thalamus (VA/VL), globus pallidus/putamen (GP/putamen), and subthalamic nucleus (STN). Stepwise regressions and mediation analyses revealed that activations in these region(s) were modulated differently by only 3 cortical regions i.e. the right inferior frontal gyrus/insula (rIFG/insula), along with left IFG/insula, and anterior cingulate cortex/supplementary motor area (ACC/SMA). The activations of bilateral VA/VL were modulated by both rSTN and rIFG/insula (with rGP/putamen as a mediator) independently, and the activation of rGP/putamen was modulated by ACC/SMA, with rIFG/insula as a mediator. Our findings provide the neural correlates of inhibitory control of counting and causal relationships between them, and strongly suggest that both indirect and hyperdirect pathways of the basal ganglia are involved in the Count NoGo condition.

Abstract	Purpose: To investigate the treatment patterns and survival outcomes in patients with unresectable Stage III EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Materials and methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients with unresectable Stage III EGFR-mutated NSCLC spanning from 2012 to 2022. Treatment patterns were outlined, and survival comparisons between different treatment groups were performed using Kaplan-Meier methods. Results: A total of 88 patients were included: 62.5% received TKI alone, 26.1% received TKI+chemotherapy, 4.5% received radiotherapy, 4.5% participated in clinical trials, and 2.4% received TKI+antiangiogenic drugs. Prior to propensity score matching, TKI+chemotherapy and TKI alone groups demonstrated similar progression-free survival (hazard ratio [HR] = 1.56, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.87-2.80; P = 0.134), overall survival (HR = 1.12, 95% CI: 0.59-2.13; P = 0.733), and locoregional-free survival (HR = 1.46; 95% CI: 0.75-2.81; P = 0.267). However, TKI+chemotherapy showed reduced distant metastasis-free survival compared to TKI alone (HR = 2.39, 95% CI: 1.11-5.18; P = 0.022). After propensity score matching, no significant differences were observed in progression-free survival (P = 0.435), overall survival (P = 0.205), locoregional-free survival (P = 0.706), and distant metastasis-free survival (P = 0.171) between the TKI+chemotherapy and TKI alone groups. Conclusions: The addition of chemotherapy to TKI did not enhance survival outcomes compared to TKI monotherapy in patients with unresectable Stage III EGFR-mutated NSCLC.

Abstract	Coping capacity is a key aspect of driver-vehicle interaction when drivers observe and make decisions, and is of great importance for drivers. However, different drivers have different self-cognition and assess their driving abilities differently, especially for novice drivers. Based on questionnaire data, this study has investigated the coping capacities of drivers in both static environments and dynamic environments. With the ANOVA analysis method and the structural equation model (SEM), this study has verified the effects of gender and driving factors (driving years, driving frequency, driving time) on drivers' coping capacities based on drivers' self-assessment scores and mutual assessment scores. Drivers' self-assessment scores show significant effects of all factors on drivers' coping capacities, and drivers' mutual assessment scores show significant effects of all factors, excluding driving time, on drivers' coping capacities. Also, it has been found that all drivers in the driving year group have cognitive biases. It seems that first-year drivers are always overconfident with their driving skills, while drivers with a driving experience of more than three years usually score driving skills of themselves and other drivers most conservatively. With increased exposure to various traffic conditions, experienced drivers are more aware of their limitations in dealing with complex traffic situations, while novice drivers do not know their lack of capability to properly respond to any unexpected situation they could encounter.

Abstract	Purpose: To assess survival of treatment patterns based on concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) in patients with stage IIB cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC). Materials and methods: Patients with stage IIB CSCC receiving CCRT were investigated from June 2012 to June 2019 in Guangxi Medical University Cancer Hospital. Baseline characteristics and treatment patterns were described. Survival between treatment patterns were compared using Kaplan-Meier methods. Results: A total of 232 patients were included: 39.7% of patients received CCRT alone, 6.5% of patients received neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) + CCRT, 45.6% of patients received CCRT + adjuvant chemotherapy (AC), and 8.2% of patients received NACT + CCRT + AC. CCRT + AC showed similar overall survival (OS; hazard ratio [HR] = 0.95, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.41-2.17; P = 0.894) and locoregional-free survival (LRFS; HR = 2.39, 95% CI: 0.45-12.63; P = 0.303) compared with CCRT. However, CCRT + AC had a worse distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS; HR = 5.39, 95% CI: 1.14-25.57; P = 0.034). After propensity score matching, CCRT + AC had comparable OS (HR = 0.89, 95% CI: 0.29-2.70; P = 0.833), LRFS (HR = 3.26, 95% CI: 0.30-35.38; P = 0.331), and DMFS (HR = 4.80, 95% CI: 0.55-42.26; P = 0.157) compared to CCRT. Conclusion: AC did not improve survival in patients with stage IIB CSCC receiving CCRT.

Abstract	Purpose: Herein, we investigated the correlation between urinary calcium excretion (UCaE) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods: From August 2018 to January 2023, a total of 2031 T2DM patients providing 24-h urine samples were included in the final analyses. Patients were separated into four cohorts, based on the UCaE quartiles. We then analyzed renal functional indicators like estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and urinary albumin excretion (UAE) among the four groups. Lastly, we utilized multivariable logistic regression models to investigate the correlation between UCaE and CKD. Results: After adjusting for confounding factors, we observed a decreasing trend in CKD prevalence (36.3%, 13.0%, 7.5%, and 6.6%, respectively, P < 0.001) across the UCaE quartiles. Albuminuria (55.5% vs. 40.0%, 36.5%, 37.4%) and macroalbuminuria prevalence (20.0% vs. 9.3%, 5.2%, 5.7%) in the lowest quartile were markedly elevated, compared to the remaining three quartiles (P < 0.001). Meanwhile, the eGFR level (P < 0.001) showed a clearly increasing trend across the UCaE quartiles, and patients with moderate-to-severe decreases in eGFR levels (with cutoff limits at 30-59, 15-30, and < 15 mL/min/1.73m2) were mostly found in the lowest quartile (P < 0.001). Logistic regression analysis revealed that patients in the lowest quartile experienced an enhanced prevalence of CKD, relative to those in the highest quartile (odds ratio: 5.90, 95% confidence interval: 3.60-9.67, P < 0.001). Conclusion: Decreased UCaE was independently associated with the CKD prevalence in T2DM patients.

Abstract	Trichoblastoma（TB） is a rare germ cell skin adnexal tumor of the hair, and it is a rare follicular tumor of the skin that differentiates from the hair germ epithelium and is often regarded as a benign skin tumorHowever, it is poorly confined and has a local infiltrative growth pattern. tb occurs in the head and neck region, especially in the face, and presents clinically as a slow growing, well-defined and elevated nodule. TB is routinely treated surgically. Due to the lack of universally accepted treatment guidelines or protocols, the recurrence rate after surgery is high, which makes clinical cure more difficult. In this study, a 65-year-old female patient was found to have a swelling with recurrent rupture and pus flow from the right external auditory canal opening and the auricular cavity. After initial misdiagnosis as otitis externa, she was treated with conventional anti-infective therapy, but her symptoms did not resolve and gradually worsened before coming to our hospital. The condition presented in this case is relativelyrare,therepre,timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment are crucial for prognosis improvement of such diseases.
