    Abstract Es responsabilidad de los actuales sistemas de salud universales brindar servicios respetando los siguientes principios: Integralidad: porque abarca todos los niveles de organización, desde lo molecular a lo social y ambiental, mediante acciones intersectoriales. Continuidad: acompaña a lo largo de toda la vida promoviendo, protegiendo y previniendo y en caso atendiendo los problemas de salud. Descentralización: las acciones de salud se desarrollan en los lugares en los cuales las personas hacen su vida cotidiana, el sistema de salud se acerca a las personas, familias y comunidades para brindar una atención “in situ”. Coordinación: En el cual la atención primaria es el eje mismo de la atención, prevención, protección y promoción, y marca las necesidades y ritmos de dichos requerimientos. Proactivo: Anticipa riesgos y/o los maneja en tiempo real. Centrado en las necesidades de las personas, familias y comunidades: por cuanto tiene por eje afrontar retos y resolver problemas en muy diversos entornos adecuándose a ellos de manera dinámica. Accesible: capaz de responder a las necesidades de salud de manera anticipada, con latencias mínimas y sin generar barreras al acceso. Evolutivo: es capaz de cambiar en función de la transformación del conocimiento y de los resultados obtenidos por la investigación propia y el trabajo en redes académicas. Viable y factible: que utilice el conocimiento para reducir costos, que no sea onerosa y sea eficaz, efectivo, eficiente y equitativo. Las facultades y escuelas de medicina deben concebirse como centros intelectivos para el desarrollo de los nuevos sistemas de salud, capaces de identificar retos, articular y generar conocimientos, con un enfoque inter y transdisciplinar, creando tecnología y evaluando resultados, impulsando la mejora continua de la cobertura y calidad del sistema de salud.

    Abstract Recent work has argued that large-scale neural recordings are often well described by patterns of coactivation across neurons. Yet the view that neural variability is constrained to a fixed, low-dimensional subspace may overlook higher-dimensional structure, including stereotyped neural sequences or slowly evolving latent spaces. Here we argue that task-relevant variability in neural data can also cofluctuate over trials or time, defining distinct 'covariability classes' that may co-occur within the same dataset. To demix these covariability classes, we develop sliceTCA (slice tensor component analysis), a new unsupervised dimensionality reduction method for neural data tensors. In three example datasets, including motor cortical activity during a classic reaching task in primates and recent multiregion recordings in mice, we show that sliceTCA can capture more task-relevant structure in neural data using fewer components than traditional methods. Overall, our theoretical framework extends the classic view of low-dimensional population activity by incorporating additional classes of latent variables capturing higher-dimensional structure.

    Abstract This study aims to analyze the intersection between the Metaverse and sustainable consumption by examining and reviewing 21 journal articles and to identify future research directions for studies in this domain. The review identifies five domains of literature in the field, namely smart cities, social sustainability, tourism, education, and sustainable marketing. Our findings suggest that these areas offer valuable insights for sustainable consumption in the Metaverse. The authors highlight the need for a comprehensive understanding of the economic and environmental impacts of the Metaverse on sustainable consumption. Finally, the study identifies future research directions, including a better understanding of consumer behavior, policy considerations, motivations in the Metaverse and the role of technology in promoting sustainable consumption. This study contributes to the emerging field of Metaverse and sustainable consumption by providing an overview of the current domains of literature in the field.

    Abstract Objective: To develop and validate the Asthma Severity-Health Search (AS-HScore), predicting severe asthma risk in Italian primary care. According to the current asthma treatment guidelines, the AS-HScore intended to serve as a clinical decision support system (CDSS) for General Practitioners (GPs).
    Methods: Using the Health Search Database (HSD), a cohort of 32,917 asthma-diagnosed patients between 2013 and 2021 was identified. The AS-HScore was developed using multivariable Cox regression in a two-part cohort: development and validation. Candidate determinants were estimated and linearly combined to form the score; its predictive accuracy was evaluated in the validation sub-cohort.
    Results: AS-HScore performance in the validation cohort revealed a 73% area under the curve (i.e. discrimination power) and a 22% pseudo-R
    Conclusion: The AS-HScore emerges as an accurate tool predicting severe asthma risk in the Italian primary care. It therefore shows promising application to enhance asthma care by early identification of severe cases. Implementing a score-based CDSS for Italian GPs holds potential for significantly improving asthma management and patients' outcomes.

    Abstract Toxicity thresholds (ECₓ) for radish, tomato, and durum wheat growth endpoints (shoot length, shoot mass, root length) to Ce, Nd or Eu added to a black organic soil were determined from 14-day dose-response growth assays. EC₁₀ expressed as total soil [REE] had a more than twenty-fold range, from 337 mg/kg to more than >8000 mg/kg. Averaged over all REEs and endpoints, durum wheat was more tolerant than radish and tomato; and averaged over all endpoints, Eu appeared to be the most phytotoxic of the three REEs. Bioaccessibility of each REE was determined by extraction with 0.01 M CaCl₂, which for all three REEs in this soil was quite low, <0.10% of total. However, bioaccessibility of Eu was five or six times greater than that for Ce and Nd, and thus could explain its apparently greater toxicity, namely that Eu was more likely to be accumulated at the site of toxic action in the plant. To discern inherent toxicity from enhanced bioaccumulation, concentration of each REE in root and shoot tissues was determined, for a tissue-residue approach to toxicity assessment. The EC₁₀ expressed as tissue concentration was lower for Nd than for Ce and Eu, thus the most toxic of the three REEs. As for many cationic inorganic elements, toxicity varies with the chemistry of the exposure medium due to its effects on bioaccessibility. Simple methods to harmonize toxicity thresholds from different media enables greater integration into regulatory standards. When EC₂₅ from this and other studies were normalized to CaCl₂-extractable REE in their respective media, the range in Ce EC₂₅ was reduced from 20-fold to 2.5-fold, and the range for Eu EC₂₅ was reduced from 25-fold to 3-fold. This novel and low-input approach to meta-analysis of toxicity thresholds demonstrates the value of considering soil physico-chemical properties as modifiers of soil REE toxicity.

    Abstract Plant tissue cultures depend entirely upon artificial light sources for illumination. The illumination should provide light in the appropriate regions of the electromagnetic spectrum for photomorphogenic responses and photosynthetic metabolism. Controlling light quality, irradiances and photoperiod enables the production of plants with desired characteristics. Moreover, significant money savings may be achieved using both more appropriate and less consuming energy lamps. In this review, the attention will be focused on the effects of light characteristics and plant growth regulators on shoot proliferation, the main process in in vitro propagation. The effects of the light spectrum on the balance of endogenous growth regulators will also be presented. For each light spectrum, the effects on proliferation but also on plantlet quality, i.e., shoot length, fresh and dry weight and photosynthesis, have been also analyzed. Even if a huge amount of literature is available on the effects of light on in vitro proliferation, the results are often conflicting. In fact, a lot of exogenous and endogenous factors, but also the lack of a common protocol, make it difficult to choose the most effective light spectrum for each of the large number of species. However, some general issues derived from the analysis of the literature are discussed.

    Abstract This study contributes to the emerging literature on the negative effects over consumption that social media users may develop as a consequence of being engaged on social media platforms. The authors tested materialism's direct and indirect impacts on compulsive, conspicuous, and impulsive buying, adding two novel mediators: attitudes toward social media content (SCM) and social media intensity (SMI). The study uses a convenience sample of 400 Thai social media users analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results confirmed the well-established positive relationships between materialism and each of the three-negative consumption behaviors also in the social media domain. A novel finding showed the important role played by SMI which was found to be a strong predictor of each of the three negative consumption behaviors and it was also found to significantly mediate the relationship between materialism and the three-negative consumption behaviors. An additional contribution of the study was found on the role of attitudes which, contrary to what is commonly believed, were often not significant in predicting any negative behavior.

    Abstract Despite their increasing ubiquity in people's lives and incredible advantages in instantly interacting with others, social media's impact on subjective well-being is a source of concern worldwide and calls for up-to-date investigations of the role social media plays in mental health. Much research has discovered how habitual social media use may lead to addiction and negatively affect adolescents' school performance, social behavior, and interpersonal relationships. The present study was conducted to review the extant literature in the domain of social media and analyze global research productivity during 2013-2022. Bibliometric analysis was conducted on 501 articles that were extracted from the Scopus database using the keywords social media addiction and problematic social media use. The data were then uploaded to VOSviewer software to analyze citations, co-citations, and keyword co-occurrences. Volume, growth trajectory, geographic distribution of the literature, influential authors, intellectual structure of the literature, and the most prolific publishing sources were analyzed. The bibliometric analysis presented in this paper shows that the US, the UK, and Turkey accounted for 47% of the publications in this field. Most of the studies used quantitative methods in analyzing data and therefore aimed at testing relationships between variables. In addition, the findings in this study show that most analysis were cross-sectional. Studies were performed on undergraduate students between the ages of 19-25 on the use of two social media platforms: Facebook and Instagram. Limitations as well as research directions for future studies are also discussed.
