Abstract In order to separate procyanidins from grape juice at room temperature, a separation prediction model was established based on nanofiltration. The mass transfer coefficient was positively correlated with the initial concentration. Nanofiltration performance of procyanidins was affected by filtration conditions, membrane properties, and molecular states. The correlation between mass transfer coefficient and initial concentration was established based on the linear equations of the rejection and mass transfer coefficient. The rejection of procyanidins predicted with the mass transfer model was in accordance with the experimental value, and the antioxidant activity was preserved effectively. The mathematical model could predict the rejection of procyanidins. The nanofiltration technology for procyanidin separation from grape juice was characterized by fast separation, low energy consumption, and zero oxidization loss. The nanofiltration technology could greatly improve the utilization efficiency of food products and decrease the energy consumption. PRACTICAL APPLICATION Thermal breakage of phenolic ingredients was a common problem to which attention should be paid in the application of food and chemistry industry. It has been evidenced that NF separation was an effective technique for the concentrate of procyanidins from the grape juice. Given today’s green separation demand over the world, it is important for the researchers to understand this method and its benefits for food and chemistry industry.

Abstract Thermal breakage of alkaloid ingredients was a common problem to which attention should be paid in the application of fruit ingredients separation. In this study, the mathematical models were established to predict the rejection of synephrine from Citrus aurantium L. (Rutaceae). The experiment showed that there was a linear relationship between operation pressure and membrane flux. Meanwhile, under the influence of solution–diffusion effect and the charge effect, the mass transfer coefficient was power functioned with initial concentration. The mathematical model showed that the predicted rejections of synephrine from Citrus aurantium extract were well approximate to real ones, and the lipid-lowering active ingredient had effectively enriched. The predicted model of nanofiltration separation has a preferable applicability to synephrine and provides references for nanofiltration separation, especially for raw food materials with synephrine.

Abstract Importance: Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT), defined as tachyarrhythmias that originate from or conduct through the atria or atrioventricular node with abrupt onset, affects 168 to 332 per 100 000 individuals. Untreated PSVT is associated with adverse outcomes including high symptom burden and tachycardia-mediated cardiomyopathy.
Observations: Approximately 50% of patients with PSVT are aged 45 to 64 years and 67.5% are female. Most common symptoms include palpitations (86%), chest discomfort (47%), and dyspnea (38%). Patients may rarely develop tachycardia-mediated cardiomyopathy (1%) due to PSVT. Diagnosis is made on electrocardiogram during an arrhythmic event or using ambulatory monitoring. First-line acute therapy for hemodynamically stable patients includes vagal maneuvers such as the modified Valsalva maneuver (43% effective) and intravenous adenosine (91% effective). Emergent cardioversion is recommended for patients who are hemodynamically unstable. Catheter ablation is safe, highly effective, and recommended as first-line therapy to prevent recurrence of PSVT. Meta-analysis of observational studies shows single catheter ablation procedure success rates of 94.3% to 98.5%. Evidence is limited for the effectiveness of long-term pharmacotherapy to prevent PSVT. Nonetheless, guidelines recommend therapies including calcium channel blockers, β-blockers, and antiarrhythmic agents as management options.
Conclusion and relevance: Paroxysmal SVT affects both adult and pediatric populations and is generally a benign condition. Catheter ablation is the most effective therapy to prevent recurrent PSVT. Pharmacotherapy is an important component of acute and long-term management of PSVT.

Abstract Owing to its high electrochemical ability, the FeP is envisioned to be the potential electrode for capacitive deionization (CDI) with enhanced performance. However, it suffers from poor cycling stability due to the active redox reaction. In this work, a facile approach has been designed to prepare the mesoporous shuttle-like FeP using MIL-88 as the template. The porous shuttle-like structure not only alleviates the volume expansion of FeP during the desalination/salination process but also promotes ion diffusion dynamics by providing convenient ion diffusion channels. As a result, the FeP electrode has demonstrated a high desalting capacity of 79.09 mg g

Abstract Cells and tissues are exquisitely organized in a complex but ordered manner to form organs and bodies so that individuals can function properly. The spatial organization and tissue architecture represent a keynote property underneath all living organisms. Molecular architecture and cellular composition within intact tissues play a vital role in a variety of biological processes, such as forming the complicated tissue functionality, precise regulation of cell transition in all living activities, consolidation of central nervous system, cellular responses to immunological and pathological cues. To explore these biological events at a large scale and fine resolution, a genome-wide understanding of spatial cellular changes is essential. However, previous bulk RNA sequencing and single-cell RNA sequencing technologies could not obtain the important spatial information of tissues and cells, despite their ability to detect high content transcriptional changes. These limitations have prompted the development of numerous spatially resolved technologies which provide a new dimension to interrogate the regional gene expression, cellular microenvironment, anatomical heterogeneity and cell-cell interactions. Since the advent of spatial transcriptomics, related works that use these technologies have increased rapidly, and new methods with higher throughput and resolution have grown quickly, all of which hold great promise to accelerate new discoveries in understanding the biological complexity. In this review, we briefly discussed the historical evolution of spatially resolved transcriptome. We broadly surveyed the representative methods. Furthermore, we summarized the general computational analysis pipeline for the spatial gene expression data. Finally, we proposed perspectives for technological development of spatial multi-omics.

Abstract Focusing on the impact of the digital economy on urban resilience is beneficial to the sustainable development of cities. This paper empirically examines the impact of digital economic development on urban resilience and its mechanisms by measuring urban resilience and the level of urban digital economy with the entropy-weighted TOPSIS method using the data of 252 Chinese cities from 2011 to 2020. The findings show that digital economic development effectively promotes urban resilience at the 1% significance level, and this conclusion remains valid after a series of endogeneity and robustness tests. The channel mechanism suggests that the development of the digital economy can improve urban resilience by optimizing urban distributional effects and promoting the upgrading of urban industrial structures. This paper discusses the nonlinear relationship between the two using the MMQR model and the threshold model. The results show that urban resilience development level is in a higher quartile of cities, and digital economy development has a greater impact on urban resilience improvement. Meanwhile, there are two threshold values for the nonlinear impact of the digital economy on urban resilience, which are 0.026 and 0.082, respectively. Further, the spatial effect between the two is also verified. From the perspective of heterogeneity analysis, the digital economy development of high-class cities, key city clusters, and cities in eastern and western regions has a greater effect on urban resilience. This study can provide ideas and inspiration for countries to enhance urban resilience and promote sustainable urban development through the development of the digital economy.

Abstract Purpose: The integration of social media into all areas of society has become a typical phenomenon of the Internet era. This study's core objective is to dissect the relationship between social media, self-efficacy and loneliness, especially emphasizing the mediating function of social support.
Patients and methods: The research data is derived from the pooled cross-sectional data combined from the four-period data of the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS). The study employs Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression as the basic research method, and utilizes Instrumental Variables (IV) and other methods to conduct robustness checks.
Results: Social media usage frequency (SMUF) enhances self-efficacy and loneliness through social support. Social support promotes self-efficacy and alleviates users' loneliness. In self-efficacy, social support plays a fully mediating role. Moreover, education (human capital) has a significant moderating effect. There are noticeable differences in the response of different characteristics groups to SMUF.
Conclusion: This study reveals how social media impacts self-efficacy and loneliness through social support. Based on the research results, avoiding prolonged usage of social media and improving digital literacy are the crucial means to exert the positive benefits of social media.

Abstract Background and aims: Systemic therapy is mainly recommended for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Considering the variety of treatments available for HCC, there is a need to understand their relative benefits and risks, especially for the newly approved combination of immune checkpoint inhibitors and vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitors represented by atezolizumab in combination with bevacizumab. A reticulated meta-analysis was used to evaluate the efficacy and safety of atezolizumab-bevacizumab combination therapy compared with other first-line systemic therapies for the treatment of patients advanced HCC.
Methods: PubMed, The Cochrane Library, Web of Science, and Embase databases were searched from the time of library construction to 01 December 2022, and the data were extracted and analyzed using Stata16.0 for Meta-analysis. The data were extracted separately, and a meta-analysis was performed using the software Stata16.0.
Results: 16 clinical studies with 8,779 subjects were identified from 13,417 records and were used to build the evidence network for all trials. TThe combination therapy of atezolizumab and bevacizumab has the advantage of prolonging the OS of patients when treating advanced HCC [HR=5.71, 95%CI (4.30, 7.12), p<0.05] Also, the combination therapy has the advantage of prolonging the patient's progression free survival [HR=1.60, 95%CI (0.89, 2.49), p<0.05].
Conclusions: Atezolizumab-bevacizumab combination therapy can improve clinical outcomes such as OS and PFS in patients with advanced HCC.

Abstract Purpose: To develop and validate a radiomics machine learning (Rad-ML) model based on preoperative MRI to predict extrahepatic metastasis (EHM) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients receiving transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) treatment.
Methods: A total of 355 HCC patients who received multiple TACE procedures were split at random into a training set and a test set at a 7:3 ratio. Radiomic features were calculated from tumor and peritumor in arterial phase and portal venous phase, and were identified using intraclass correlation coefficient, maximal relevance and minimum redundancy, and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator techniques. Cox regression analysis was employed to determine the clinical model. The best-performing algorithm among eight machine learning methods was used to construct the Rad-ML model. A nomogram combining clinical and Rad-ML parameters was used to develop a combined model. Model performance was evaluated using C-index, decision curve analysis, calibration plot, and survival analysis.
Results: In clinical model, elevated neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio and alpha-fetoprotein were associated with faster EHM. The XGBoost-based Rad-ML model demonstrated the best predictive performance for EHM. When compared to the clinical model, both the Rad-ML model and the combination model performed better (C-indexes of 0.61, 0.85, and 0.86 in the training set, and 0.62, 0.82, and 0.83 in the test set, respectively). However, the combined model's and the Rad-ML model's prediction performance did not differ significantly. The most influential feature was peritumoral waveletHLL_firstorder_Minimum in AP, which exhibited an inverse relationship with EHM risk.
Conclusions: Our study suggests that the preoperative MRI-based Rad-ML model is a valuable tool to predict EHM in HCC patients treated with TACE.
